Our signature cold subs are served Mike’s Way® with onions, lettuce, tomatoes and The Juice – an exquisite splash of red wine vinegar and olive oil blend, and always finished with spices. Our Famous Philly cheesesteaks are prepared atop a hot grill and made to order. And of course, everything is served on fresh-baked bread.
History
Established in 2014.
Jersey Mike’s Subs opened their first two New York locations at 80 Maiden Lane (Financial District) and 938 Third Avenue (Midtown East). The authentic style east coast sub shop prides itself on making a difference. The great people and excellent product quality help Jersey Mike’s across the country make a difference in their community.
It started back in 1956, Mike opened the small shop in the sea-side town of Point Pleasant, New Jersey. In 1972, Peter Cancro was a high school student in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. He loved authentic submarine sandwiches. But even more, Peter loved working behind the counter, interacting and talking with the customers. When Peter was a senior in high school, he overheard the owner of Mike’s Subs discussing selling the business. He thought to himself, «I love the food, I love working in the store, maybe I’ll buy the shop.» With the help of his football coach, who happened to be a banker, Peter purchased the store at the tender age of 17.
