New York City based freelance photographer Jenny Fu has been shooting professionally for six years, specializing in fine art wedding, engagement and portrait photography. Jenny regularly travels domestically and internationally for photography work. She focuses on using natural light to capture what is happening in the moment. She will be your historian who will shine light on the story of the day.

Jenny has been published in BRIDES.com, Style Me Pretty, Brooklyn Bride, and 100 Layered Cake Blog. In addition to wedding publications, she has also been featured in Rolling Stone, TRIBEZA, San Antonio Magazine, Linger Magazine, and The Society Diaries. Jenny Fu has shot backstage at Saturday Night Live (SNL) and caught the backstage madness at New York Fashion Week for more than three seasons.

New York City based freelance photographer Jenny Fu has been shooting professionally for three years, specializing in fashion, wedding, and lifestyle portrait photography. In 2009, Jenny took photography classes at the University of Texas, and in 2010 she founded Jenny Futography as her professional photography company.

Jenny began her photography career when she interned with award-winning professional fashion photographer TQ Photo. During her internship in Austin, Texas, she gained experience in professional photography from lighting techniques to the production of a photo shoot. The following year, Jenny began assisting wedding photographers as a second shooter, and it was then she realized her passion for wedding and engagement photography. Hired Jenny as our photographer for city hall registration and another evening during our lovely reception. Jenny response well with emails and phone calls and she’s very patient and creative. Thank you so much for capturing the lovely moments.

I can’t say enough great things about this woman! I live in Austin and had the pleasure of her doing my engagement photos two years ago. She then relocated to New York City to further her career but I was lucky to catch her again a week ago while she was in Austin to do a maternity session with my husband and me. I saw a teaser photo of our session, and I can hardly wait to get my hands on all our photos! She’s incredibly talented, personable, and affordable. I will definitely be waiting for another chance at a family session next time she comes to Austin. If I could afford to fly her in from NYC every time I needed a photographer, I definitely would. Jenny was an absolute joy to work with. Being in front of the camera is naturally awkward for my wife and me, but Jenny was able to give us great directions and made us comfortable. Her positivity and never ending energy kept us motivated throughout our engagement and wedding sessions. Jenny has an uncanny eye to take the most normal settings and breathe life into them with her photography. We love that she goes above and beyond to take care of her clients and is so fun to be around.
Since our wedding was in New York and we live in Texas, Jenny was extremely accommodating and flexible with our requests. She was easy to get a hold of by phone and returned our emails promptly. We even met her in person in Texas and instantly fell in love with her professionalism and personality.
For our engagement photo shoot, she spent the whole day with my wife and me and really taught us how to act in front of the camera. She took her time and it felt like all her energy was devoted to us, and it showed in the photographs.
For the wedding, my wife needed help with her hair and makeup and Jenny came to the rescue big time! She didn’t hesitate to help with touch ups and it put me at ease to see my photographer going the extra mile to make my wife look her very best.
Jenny is extremely skilled at what she does and we put our trust in her to capture one of the most special days of our lives. Her photographs tell a story which we’re able to relive each and every time we look at them. We highly recommend her services.

We had hired Jenny for our wedding photos. From the moment we signed the contract she was such a pleasure to work with! She’s so organized and she really gets a feel for each client’s style and personality. She responds very quickly to questions or concerns and always made us feel relaxed knowing she was responsible and got everything done as promised. Needless to say our photos turned out AMAZING and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice of photographer. We hired Jenny for our family portraits and she did an amazing job! She was so great with my son and was entertaining him along the way to get him to smile for our portraits. We are not good with the camera and she made us feel completely comfortable in our pictures. I absolutely love her! She goes above and beyond in her work and will do whatever it takes to make you happy. She’s also very good at understanding what is important and tries to capture those emotions. We learned about Jenny Futography from a recent online coupon and decided to take a chance and have her take our «imminent arrival» photos. I’m glad we did!
Jenny came to our home and immediately set us at ease. She’s extremely personable, and in no time we started the photo shoot in the nursery. Lots of great background images, and an initial round of Mom and Dad photos.
Next we packed up and headed to a nearby park for round two. Jenny took at least a hundred photos of us in various natural, casual positions around the park and was a great help at keeping us relaxed and feeling like this photo shoot was just a natural extension of our day… we were very impressed.
If that wasn’t enough, we then had a change of clothes, and did a third set of photos around a staged picnic.
After a few days to allow for processing, we received some very nice prints, and a DVD with all of our pictures as completely useable full-resolution digital images with no watermarking or other weird artifacts.
In the end we had an album full of amazing pictures, and had a great time to boot. We couldn’t have been happier with the service Jenny provided and would recommend her to anyone looking for really wonderful professional photographs.
Can’t wait to work with her again now that we have a new baby to take some pictures of too!
