Worst place eveeeeeeer! I came here during new year, it’s reasonable the price is high. However，I will not complain about the money I spend but the worst service I’ve ever met in my life. The front desk reception Latin girl is suuuuuper rude!
I totally understand her overloaded work on Christmas and New Year period, so I didn’t expect a big smile nor a sweet word «Sir» after a tired longtime travel. At least While I asked her «Can I have a pencil „when she asked me to sign the check, surprisingly she said“ You didn’t see it, it’s on the desk?»
OMG! I was so angry that I wanted to call the customer complaint center till her male coworker CONVINCED her to say me a sorry.
So I recommend the visitors, Airbnb is more than best, don’t waste your money here!

Jazzy hostel, convenient location, separation from rooms, close to many famous NYC historical sites like the Late Show, Central Park.

This was my first experience at a hostel, so I was a little unsure as to what to expect as far as quality is concerned. I knew that it wouldn’t be a hotel by any means – not even on motel status – so luckily my expectations weren’t high. But, again, my first hostel experience, so keep that in mind when reading my review.
The location is excellent. It’s right in the middle of everything in the Times Square District, which made it really convenient when roaming around the city.
The staff were pretty nice. Young, «hip,» friendly people… it got to be kinda hectic sometimes, like people didn’t really know what was going on, but I was patient so it didn’t bother me much. There’s 5(?) levels, I think. I stayed in a 6-​bed shared room…3 other girls were there with me. The doors are keycard entry only, which is great security-​wise. There are lockers in the rooms, and it’s air conditioned (which I guess isn’t standard in all hostels?). I stayed on the 3^rd floor – lots of steep stair climbing, so you definitely get a bit of a workout in trying to get yourself together here.
There was one bathroom on each floor with one toilet and shower. Inconvenient, but not a big deal. I expected that. What I did NOT expect was for the bathrooms to be out of service on at least 3 of the floors… there were lines and many, many upset, funky people walking around there. Luckily, I was checking out, so I put my backup plan into action (thanks Mom!) and just decided to shower when I got back to my side of life. A girl checking out ahead of me was pissed off, and she was trying to get some of her money back… the guy behind the desk didn’t really know how to compensate her for it. He offered to give her a free visit next time she came – which she was okay with, at first – but I think he expected her to know when she was going to visit. She told him she had no idea, and that’s pretty much where the conversation ended. He had nothing else to offer for our troubles, and she was already upset about the situation, so she didn’t push it. So they have the customer service skills… just not the resources, apparently.
Oh, and it’s a very social block too – when I got back in around 1am, it looked like the Village had landed on my street… I was expecting somebody to start singing the theme song from Rent at any second… I thought it was pretty funny, but people might be… I dunno, uncomfortable? It only bothered me when I was trying to go to sleep. But I guess that can be expected when sleeping in a hostel… in NYC… in Times Square. lol I plugged in my iPod and was in la-​la land shortly thereafter.
Oh yeah, only ONE outlet in the room as well. Pretty inconvenient in a room for 6 people.
There’s a small cafeteria area downstairs – you can make your own food and store things in the refrigerator. I think you have to wash your own dishes as well, but I didn’t eat there, so I’m not 100% sure.
The whole experience took me back to my days at band camp… except not AS fun. =) It’s a decent option if you dont wanna spend a grip in a hotel room, and don’t mind subpar facilities.
