Jay and Elvis were fantastic! Not only are they both incredibly artistic, but they are incredibly pleasant and fun to be around. They shot our pre-​wedding and wedding photo shoots, and did a marvelous job. Highly recommended!

My fiancé booked Jay to take photos when he proposed to me. Jay was pretending to be a tourist taking photos of the park so I didn’t suspect anything until it was happening and it was a wonderful surprise. Afterwards he took photos of us around the park– he had ideas of what would make the best shots but also humored us and took photos where we wanted. A week later we had the full upload of all the photos and another album of the highlights. He was a lot of fun to work with and the photos turned out really well, would recommend him to anyone!

Jay and his team were the best!!! After searching for hours (and days) online for a wedding photographer, we were in awe of Jays work. Our first meeting with him, we sealed the deal. I hadn’t even wanted to meet with anyone else to compare for pricing. During our casual shoot, Jay and Elivis worked with us to make us feel comfortable in front of the camera and they were so easy to work with! We felt more like friends at the end… They took the time to get to know me and my husband and put personal touches on all of our photos. Jay and is crew (Steve and Elvis) were absolutely great! After our engagement photo shoot in NYC (Central Park and then Dumbo) we were sold. He is so easy to work with and his style is so unique. He is able to capture all of the traditional moments you want, but then able to go above and beyond with finding different angles to make it even better. He is very professional and quickly is able to understand what makes you look best. He listens to your ideas and blends them to make the thoughts you have even better. My wife and I chose Jay Seth to photograph our casual engagement shoot and then our wedding reception on April 4, 2015. We couldn’t have been happier with him. Jay has decades of experience, and he has a great eye. Our engagement shoot was in New York City, and the photographs are absolutely beautiful. If there were a gazillion stars on Unilocal I would give it! Jay Seth and his team are beyond amazing. I had been following his work for the past 10 years and knew I wanted to hire him for my wedding. Jay Seth is a legendary photographer! We were so lucky to have him photograph our special day. He is beyond brilliant and talented. My husband and I got really lucky with Jay Seth. We got married a week before we took a red eye into NYC for a company party. The day before we flew in I decided to do a spontaneous trash the dress shoot in Central Park. I emailed a few photographers on Unilocal and Jay was the first to respond so I appreciated that. He was very accommodating with me constantly changing the time of shoot since we were very tired from the previous flight in. We met at the fountain in front of plaza hotel and Jay and his assistant were very punctual and professional. They are great at what they do and made us feel very comfortable from the very beginning. It was a fun day and we’re very happy with the pictures. We received our pictures in less than 24 hours. I’m shocked because my photographer in CA that did our wedding won’t be done with wedding photos for over 2 months. You won’t be disappointed with the quality and professionalism of this photographer. Good job Jay Seth!

We booked Jay shortly after our engagement. He was the photographer for quite a few family weddings, and he was highly recommended, and now we know why. Picking a photographer to capture one of the most important days in your life is one of the biggest decisions you will have to make, and Jay and his team exceeded all of our expectations. Jay’s prices are competitive, and is definitely worth every penny!
We had our engagement photo shoot, which gave us an opportunity to establish a great rapport with him and his team. Both my husband and I are not used to the photography experience and felt awkward in the beginning. Jay was able to make us relax and laugh after a few minutes. When we saw the photos, we couldn’t believe that was us. The background, composition, and colors are like art work, while we still look happy and real in them.
At the wedding, Jay knew exactly what kind of pictures he wanted to shoot: from traditional, posed photos to romantic, artistic and creative photos. All of them came out well. He was very quick and was able to take all family pictures within the short time frame we had. It was wonderful to work with him and his team and we would recommend Jay to all our friends and family.

This is how I found Jay–
After several weeks’ research (oh yes, I do mean research, I made a comprehensive document around 10 photographers that I narrowed down to, with notes about their styles, price, ratings, studio location, some samples, available dates, etc) on photographers in NYC area, my husband helped me to further narrow the list to 5. Jay is the second photographer we visited, and I decided there is no need to keep researching any more. :)
We met Jay and Elvis three times for shooting, two times in casual outfit, and one time in wedding dress! Most of all, all of the pictures are not only really artistic but also conveys the really true us. I think I am pretty picky in photos, but I love Jay’s work very much! I am extremely happy with all of the pictures, so we schedule shootings with them time and time again!
Secondly, what I really love working with Jay and Elvis is that they have a way to elicit just the right emotion of you. For me, I think the wedding pictures are to convey the happiness and harmoniousness, so at least you want to feel comfortable and like the artist you are working with. Jay and Elvis has the right amount of humor, politeness, and professionalism, and I would say it is so entertaining and enjoyable to spend every minute with them.
Thirdly, I think they are really trying to discover and capture the real you. They REALLY THINK FOR YOU! There was once when we were about to leave when finishing the shooting session, but Jay and Elvis suddenly discovered that my feet would be worthy another picture. They proposed that we should do a feature of that, and I posed. They went all the troubles to take their devices out, and THINK, and try to shoot me till they captured the right light and angel. These pictures turned out to be among my favorites! I think if they were not that acute in observing us, be that serious and that careful, they would not even pay attention to this moment, and I would not have missed those favorites!
Fourthly, I think every picture they shoot is creative works. It is creative and nice, but it does NOT reach the degree that you would think the pictures are too novel or even crazy. I had checked some works of other photographers when I was researching for us, but I think some pictures by other photographers are just like — yes, it would be something that look good if it is hanged in a museum/​gallery. For pictures that capture my life, I would prefer the ones shoot by Jay and Elvis, — the ones that make you feel it is something about YOURSELF, instead of a commercial poster about someone else.
I sincerely recommend Jay and Elvis to my friends, because I truly think they are great people and artists. In addition, I think I would not be so happily married if my wedding photos were not liked by me. I feel very lucky it is such a great memory!!!

Selecting your wedding vendors is a tedious process and probably the most important in the wedding planning process. Once you select your vendor, you are not just working with them on the day of your wedding but throughout the planning process and many times even after. Choosing Jay Seth Photography was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! They were prompt with their email responses before and after the wedding. They never made us feel like they didn’t have time for us or we were asking for too much. From the engagement shoot to the wedding day, every detail was captured so beautifully. Jay’s entire staff was extremely helpful in planning our attire and style for the engagement shoot. For our engagement shoot, they brought many props to enhance the creativity in the pictures. My husband is not a huge fan of taking pictures and thinks it’s a waste of time so I was a little nervous about the engagement shoot but he actually had so much fun taking the pictures. thanks to Jay and Elvis!
For our wedding day, this staff was amazing and did not have to be managed or directed for anything. They were professional and on time for every big moment through out the day. Their high spirit was commended by many of our friends and family members. Jay’s humorous and loving personality made everyone feel comfortable during the picture taking process. Every single person was captured in their own element.
Planning an Indian wedding can be extremely time consuming because you want to make sure every detail is seen through and every tradition is not forgotten. We spent a year and a half planning the small details that went into our wedding day and are so happy every time we look at the pictures that ALL of those details were captured by our photographers. When I look at my vidaii photographs, I can still feel that emotion. When we look at the picture of when we first saw each other, we still get goosebumps. When we see the pictures of the first dance, speeches, dance floor wildness, and everything else… we relive the experience all over again. This is all thanks to Jay, Steve and Elvis for making sure these moments were captured to be our everlasting memories. Words cannot express how grateful I am for hiring this team and would definitely recommend them to everyone!

Jay did our wedding back in September 2013. The pictures came out absolutely amazing and everyone that has seen our book has said that they’ve never seen anything quite like it. Also, our relatives in India that couldn’t make the trip over here were in absolute awe of the photos. The final product was definitely A++
Going with Jay, you know you are going to get a great final product. But I think the reason why our pictures came out so great is because Jay did a great job of making us feel comfortable and ensuring that we were having fun. We had a fun time taking pictures with him and it definitely shows. Also, he keeps a tight schedule which is a huge plus on the big day.

We met four photographers who were all talented, but it was Jay’s personality that drew us in. He was so easy to work with and his work is incredible. We had our engagement photoshoot in Brooklyn and he knew exactly which locations and what poses would make us look our best. On the actual wedding day he was patient, respectful, and all around fun to work with. If anyone looked tense during photos, he knew how to put them at ease. Even though we would question certain poses, the results were nothing short of amazing. Our photos look beautiful that we have so many favorites. We truly enjoyed working with Jay so much we gifted my sister and her husband a photoshoot with him as an anniversary gift. I would recommend his services to anyone.

Jay photographed our wedding a few years ago and we couldn’t have been happier with him! He is always professional and quick to respond to inquiries, and we obviously also loved the quality of the photos! He was creative and flexible (taking photos we wanted him to take) and he was such a pleasant person to be around. One really great thing is that we did not feel like he «got in the way» like some photographers do on the wedding day. In the end, we were THRILLED with how our photos and album turned out.

2) He’s incredibly professional and reliable — we’ve all heard the horror stories but you can rest assured that Jay and his phenomenal crew will be there, ready to capture every moment of your special day. Jay was actually rather ill on the day of our wedding and yet he still managed to bring his A game — I kid you not when I say that just about every proof we received was frame worthy!
3) It’s of paramount importance to have a good rapport with your photographer. Unless you’re either a working model (or a ham), strain will inevitably begin to show, especially with more posed/​formal shots. Jay is extremely personable and will say/​do just about anything to get you relaxed, happy and in the moment — a critical skill for someone trying to capture that moment in an aesthetically pleasing yet realistic way!
4) This man has the patience of a friggin’ saint. It’s usually the client pushing the photographer for the final album (s), photos, etc. ASAP — in our case, roles were decidedly reversed and Jay very gently goaded us to make decisions, edit, etc. I’m sure there were times he just wanted to shake us but he somehow remained graceful and tactful throughout!!!
5) There’s an elegance to Jay’s work that makes it less niche wedding photography and more artistic photojournalism. Our album doesn’t look like a kitschy, pedestrian mess… there’s a timelessness to it that I think will have friends an family oohing and ahhing for generations to come.
Planning a wedding is a highly stressful endeavor but if you’ve got the best vendors — a photographer like Jay Seth for instance — you can confidently leave it to the pros and know that you won’t be doing anything except enjoying one of the most important milestones of your life! :)

If you’re looking for the BEST in class photographer in the wedding industry, LOOK NO FURTHER. We highly recommend Jay for the job. He took the time to get to know our immediate family and bridal party and went the extra mile to capture hundreds of photos, many from various angles and points of view. For instance, when we were looking back at our wedding photos we found that he had taken one of our mandap on the beach from a birds eye view. Our family thought he rented a helicopter to take it… it was that breathtaking!
Jay’s assistants are skilled in their own right. They’re down to earth and gave direction that everyone understood. When the team works together, it’s as if their thoughts are in synch and they stealthily capture shots in tandem. One assistant says «chin up and turn around» while the other was already prepared to take the shot that the other was planning. It’s uncanny how they operate in tandem.
Since we had a big Indian wedding, there were naturally family members and friends we forgot to take photos with. Jay and his team of experts photoshopped photos for us that looked so REAL. We all tried to think back to when those were taken, but later Jay told us it was his little gift to us since he knew we had missed out on those shots.
Lastly, Jay is the REASON my husband and I are together. We met at a photo shoot 8 years ago and he paired us up to do shots as a couple. He said, «You two look great together. I want to take photos with both of you.» Years later, here we are, happily married, re-​living our special day as we look back at the photos Jay took of our wedding. Thank you Jay for being our matchmaker and freezing this moment in time in our lives with beautiful photos. You’re the best!

We hired Jay as our wedding photographer at our SF wedding. He shot our casual shoots in NYC and SF too. He was easy to work with and knew how to work with different background, scenes and lights to make us look more attractive! I like how he made us laugh so the photos would look more natural.
He was very professional and delivered products on time as he promised. We had a great experience with Jay and all my friends and family love our wedding pictures!

As best man for my friend’s wedding I was given the task of finding a wedding photographer. I got a referral from a co-​worker of mine whose in-​law hired Jay as their wedding photographer.
Overall the bride and groom were very satisfied and quite impressed with Jay’s professionalism and delivering quality photos and a wedding albums.
On their casual shoot the bride and groom mentioned how Jay made them feel relaxed and fun behind the camera. I was also able to flip through their wedding book and it was top notch quality. It wasn’t one of those cheap albums you get made in overseas in China or India. It was made to last and laid out very nicely.
