Awful delivery — they say 25−30mins but food doesn’t come for 1hr. Understand that things can get busy, but they are unapologetic about it too. Happens more often than not. Decent food, but not worth the hassle

This place is a Joke! I ate doner kebabs in many places around the world and this is the worst I’ve ever ate.. we ordered the special lunch which has a chicken or lamb Gyro, fries and soda. The meat didn’t taste nothing, the pita bread neither, they just put the meat and one slice of tomato and some old lettuce… What a terrible place. New Yorkers, you need to start learning how to eat good… Go to Spain, Italy, France, etc… and learn a little bit.

Gyro was dry and cold when delivered. It was like loose meat. Maybe I got the end of the night meat! There is a reason it is only $ 7. Gyro nor hummus had any taste. Had to add much salt. There is a reason a good gyro is $ 12-$ 15. I was trying to have a cheap easy meal. Next time I will spend the extra money!

So while the food is nothing special, I’m absolutely surprised that two of three workers started yelling at us for snacking a «to go» order for a few minutes at their outdoor tables. First guy literally screamed while we were sitting and peeking at the food. A lady worker then spat at us when we nibbled. We calmly told both of them that we were waiting for a friend and was leaving in a minute or two. This is not how paying customers should be treated. We will not be dining here again. Highly do not recommend this place for anyone who enjoys dining in the city

Eat24 pickup of the Kadaifi $ 5.50(Shredded pastry with mixed nuts, syrups and ground pistachio toppings.) and Kazandibi $ 5.00(Also known as brown topped) were both fine, but stick with the savory items(«24÷7 Turkish kebab house best known for its gyros and adana, but the cold appetizers also make for solid DIY sandwiches, if you ask. Good for late-night or lunch.»)

HONESTLY, this place has fresh delicious middle eastern food. You can’t go wrong with any of their pocket bread sandwiches. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu & I can’t get enough! I crave this food & highly recommend you to try for yourself. Free delivery & open hella late!

I must agree with the«bland» complaints. There are no spices in this food – no flavor. All I tasted was grease. My sandwich was just a small portion of meat with very little lettuce and half a slice of tomato. Don’t bother.

In addition to loving a good burger or two, I also love to indulge on a good gyro. I had passed by Istanbul a few times going to the Apple store a few times close by. Finally tried them out a few weeks ago. I think I may have had higher expectations for them than I should of, especially since it is a Turkish restaurant and I guess especially since I am already used to great gyro’s from 34th street. The gyro’s at Istanbul were smaller and no where near all the meat and sauce that I get from the 34th street gyro place that I go to. Was it bad? No, it was actually pretty good but just feel it would of been better if it was… more. But that can be me just being a little greedy. It is a nice spot to take a date however if you’re out and about just coming from the Highline or just walking around Union Square during the day. Not giving up on Istanbul but not rushing back there too soon either… we’ll see what the future holds.

Service sucks food was lightly seasoned not enough meat cramped seating. This place should say they only cater to diabetics!

The food was so bland! The sandwich included under ripe tomatoes, lettuce, and meat. No cucumbers, onions, or spices. They gave us some hot sauce, but even that was so weak! On the plus side, it is super cheap.

It’s really just a basic, simple joint for a chicken sandwich. You get a pita pocket filled with chicken, tomatoes, and lettuce. The chicken is not very flavorful, and the white sauce and hot sauce are watery, not flavorful either. Plain and boring but at least this place is open late. The rice pudding was quite good! Cold, creamy, thick, sweet, and sprinkled with cinnamon. Satisfying!

I got the special lunch chicken gyro combo to go for $ 11.90. The chicken was tender and brown rice was so tasty! The downside is that I didn’t like the watery red and white sauce. The price is not food cart friendly but I also get a lot of meat. I will go back because I love meat.

I had an excellent dine-in experience with my friend from London. The food and service were great. I wish if they had a freshly made ayran(A yogurt drink). I would love to go back.

good for what it is, reasonable prices, clean food, basic turkish, not really a restaurant more like a lunch spot… good for lunch, good for dinner, good for whenever the hell you want a falafel, good if you are dead, better if you are alive, just saying… and remember baby, this is not caribbean, it s turkish, turkish, turkish

Excellent takeout & comfortable dine-in options. I opted to come here for lunch after seeing the good reviews on Unilocal. So, you should definitely skip those carts, if you’re feeling middle-eastern, and come here. I got the chicken pita sandwich the last time. At first, I was kind of disappointed when I saw the size of the sandwich, which was just slightly bigger than my tiny girly hands. Boy was I wrong. That was the perfect portion. They stuff the pita bread with a lot of chicken or the meat of your choice! It was so good that I did not even need the sauce. You should also ask for double the amount of sauce too. Just a warning, the sauce is lacking in texture and flavor. It is thin, watery, and tasteless. However, I could get over it because the sandwich is actually delicious.

Best Turkish Food in Chelsea /Meat Packing District area. They are also open 24⁄7 now and that’s the only Turkish kebab place in this area that is open 24⁄7. Their shish kebabs are delicious but they have more food to choose from. I know the owner for the last 6 years and I know he always tries. He tries to deliver the best of Turkey here in NY. He is really hard working man with over 20 years restaurants management experience. So I know he knows what he’s doing. The Thursday and Friday lunch specials are the best. If you like Mediterranean food I say you should try this place.

Terrible food. Yoghurt sauce was tasteless and too watery(normally I love yoghurt sauce). Meat was not seasoned at all.

I was headed home on Sunday around 4PM but I need some food since I hadn’t eaten since 8 A.M. I wanted the grilled chicken sandwich but they were out. So I ordered the chicken gyro. It was described as“freshly marinated chicken cutlets cooked on a rotating spit then thinly sliced”. It was served in a pita with tomato and onion. The chicken was tender and juicy. I was asked if I wanted hot sauc. That was a «yes» and they put a good amount on it based on the taste when I finally ate it. The cost was $ 6.75 plus tax so the total was $ 7.35. It took less than 10 minutes to get my food.

OMG this place is AMAZING. whenever I go out there, I always try the«liver cubes». You only get those on certain times. The food is really great and if you are a beer lover, do try the Efes beer.
