Staff was great and they are one of the few places that do the implant birth (which I’m digging). I had a different provider but I am definitely thinking about switching.

This is unequivocally the worst practice I have ever dealt with.
Came here a year ago after finding them online but finding out much more information since reading all the terrible reviews.
It is impossible to get a prescription refill here, which is extremely irresponsible to patients and they deserve to be sued. Nobody knows what they are doing and I never even realized the so called ‘doctors’ and nurses are only in training.
Avoid at all costs — the only positive here is that it forced me to find my new wonderful family practitioner in my neighborhood.

Made an appointment with Dr Sarah Karp at their facility on 16E 16 St. NYC. The building seemed relatively clean, not new modern. Filled out the paperwork when I first got there, paid my co pay and sat down and waited. and waited and waited and waited. There were only about 6 other people in the waiting room. After about 1 ½ hours of waiting I decided to leave and informed them I didn’t want them to be my PCP. Really, if I made my clients wait for this long I would be out of business. Stay away from this place. I didn’t even argue about the co pay the co pay, they are obviously in need of money.

If you want the «doctors» to judge you and write in their notes about you, on your record!!! bizarre things about your personality, then by all means go here. This place is filled with paranoid unqualified «doctors» in my opinion. They have little knowledge of how to understand a person. Patients that go here are deemed «off», because it is a low cost or low class place and the doctors in charge are not that bright.

I’ve been with this clinic for five years and I am tired of the BS. When I had my full time job around Union Square, it was convenient for me to go. But then I realize a couple of odd things with this place and I wasn’t satisfied with the service. I realized that all the «docs» were still residents, I was like, «ooooooh, okay, I see what I am dealing with now. Lack of experience.» When I had any issues, I felt they were following some textbook format and they would tell me my risk factors were low (normal BMI, young, female), I was fine. When I would jog (even till this day, maybe I just me being out of shape) I would get chest pains and I can’t really breathe properly. I had an EKG done and everything was within normal limits. So the doc told me I was fine, but it still kept happening. I never followed up with it because I would exercise at home and i would actually feel fine. I would go to them for other things, and I jut felt alot of the docs were just inexperienced with only a sprinkle of them that were decent. Now for prenatal care, the clinic was awesome. I would give them four stars. They have prenatal groups and I was part of one so at least we were able to communicate with other mommies. They check our vital signs and every month was several topics that we discuss. Fathers are also welcome, so that was cool, too. They sent me for my regular sonograms to BI antepartum unit. I had a low risk pregnancy and gave birth without epidural so it was awesome. After my son was born, this place was on my shitlist again. Looooooooong waiting times (even with appointment, I am talking waiting over three to four hours, that isn’t normal). They also took Medicaid patients, so this clinic see everyone (which is fine, because I was on it once in my life). But I was never able to see my regular resident docs that I grown to like for my son because their year was over so I was seeing everyone else which I wasn’t too fond of. EVen for my son, he was misdiagnosed for something he had but you know, the nurse practitioner was honest to admit she didn’t know and gave us a referral to NYU Med Ctr. Everything is fine with my son, now. But I am too through with this clinic, and I really rather someone with experience. Going forward, for any future pregnancies or medical issues, I am going some where else.

I wish there was a way to give a zero rating. This is a horrible facility. Poor customer service, doctors are never available. they do not return calls, have had incorrect scripts written, waiting times are long and the staff is extremely unprofessional. Maybe because they’re located in Harlem they think it is acceptable to operate in this manner, but they are sadly mistaken.
I’ve tried on numerous occasions to work with them. Each time, I say, «today must be an off day.» But, after several off days, I’m done.
Unfortunately, due to changes in my income and I don’t have the insurance I used to. I am accustomed to a certain level or care. Most definitely, a certain level of organization, professionalism and customer service from a medical provider. They fail on all accounts. Each person passes the responsibility of addressing issues to someone else and there is always an excuse for the overall inefficiency and ineptitude experienced.
The one glimmer of hope is the dental service. I have never had any issues with them. They are prompt, follow-​up on care and treatments, confirm appointments and the dentists respond to patient inquiries both in person and via phone. Too bad this culture is not transmitted throughout the rest of the «institute».
I truly wish my other doctors accepted my current insurance because the agony of this place is enough to drive someone to the hospital or chose to neglect their physical wellbeing altogether.
