Hyatt Times Square New York

Hotel is super modern and chic. The concierge are very polite and helpful. The revolving door spaces are large, which is nifty. The rooftop bar has an awesome view of the city. We stayed on the 51^st floor and the view is awesome through the floor to ceiling window. We love staying at Hyatt hotels when we travel because we can expect a hassle free time with them.

+ SERVICE SERVICE SERVICE is excellent. Front the front desk/​check in to management they were friendly and efficient. I made several request (extra towels, early check in) and they were able to accommodate me. THe staff was communicative before I arrived & during my visit to ensure that my request & room was as paid for.
CONS:

+ Towels could be softer/​fluffier
+ Bar is expensive (even for NYC)

Stayed at the Hyatt Times Square 3 nights. My room was on the 23^rd floor. Room was rather small but that was not an issue for me. The room was set up so the lights automatically turned on when one enters — which was cool.
Room was a tad warm when I arrived so I turned on the AC — digital controls for an old central HVAC based system. It took a long time to cool down the room.
When I entered the large panel HD TV was on with a message welcoming me by name — kind of neat. There were a number of HD channels — but not all were HD. Free Wifi access throughout the hotel. Internet access was reasonably fast.
Room was clean and comfortable, including the bed, which did not kill my back.
The room included a mini-​fridge — which I always enjoy having.
Staff at the hotel are very friendly and welcoming. The Bellmen out front always smiled and greeted me. A couple of times when I came out with my computer bag — they asked if I needed a taxi. I advised them that I had ordered an Über — I’d show them the license plate of the Über in the app and they would watch for the car.
There is a restaurant in the hotel on the main floor — named T45 — they serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee to go, full bar, etc.
On the top of the hotel is Bar 54 — a very pricey bar with a good view.
You can eat breakfast at T45, but if you are looking for other places to eat breakfast — you can also get breakfast at The Red Flame, Cranberry Café, O’Lunney’s, Dunhill Café, and Connolly’s Pub. All very close to the hotel.

As always almost all Hyatt hotels I’ve been to are amazing. This hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. If you stay here and need snacks or anything that a convince store has, there’s a deli down the road almost right next to it called cranberry deli which has prepared food of all types, deli sandwiches, and everything a convenience store has. (Medicines, drinks, and snacks) very convenient. And open 24 hours.

Excellent hotel in the heart of Times Square (for better or worse). Room was spotless and beautifully appointed, and all employees I interacted with were friendly and helpful. I did not get a chance to try the rooftop bar, but look forward to checking it out next time.

We headed to NYC thanksgiving weekend with my BIL as his treat and picked this location Bc all of the other Hyatts were booked up. We were here for two nights and enjoyed our stay. We felt very comfortable. This hotel is not too extravagant or over the top. Here are the pros and cons of this hotel:

Overall, it was a nice stay and we decided that the next time we stay in NYC we will stay away from Times Square. It’s just too crowded and hectic. Takes forever to drive to this location due to the traffic. Hyatt is a nice hotel chain and we will be staying at another location the next time we’re in town.

This hotel is absolutely fabulous. It wasn’t inexpensive but the staff, breakfast and room accommodations make it all worth the money!
We came into town for one night and appreciated the location and professional demeanor of the staff.
I would recommend this to anyone visiting the city that needed a comfortable and clean hotel.

Hotwired this just a few hours before our flight. We stayed in the room with the living room and jog bed, and it was very nice. Service was great, and the rooms were spacious, and modern.

We booked a room at the Hyatt Times Square over our recent trip to NY for the NYC Marathon.
The location was perfect, right in the middle of the city. The staff was warm and inviting from every aspect and we couldn’t have felt more welcomed.
The front bellman was prompt and respectful and always had the best info on nearby attractions and points of interest.
The hotel is clean, and up to the finest standard. Even though it’s located in the heart of Manhattan, the hotel remains quiet and inviting.
Our rooms were furnished with modern contemporary designs and decorated in the nicest fashion.
The bathroom was my personal favorite. With dual shower heads, including a rainfall, it was the perfect place to unwind after running the marathon.
I highly recommend.

Well appointed room with a fantastic view, very helpful and friendly staff. The concierge was very knowledgeable about all of the attractions and transportation, and we were able to purchase tickets for everything we wanted to see and do while in the city.
Perfect location to be in the middle of everything! The view from Bar 54 was amazing! You could see Time Square, the New Year’s Eve ball, and so many gorgeous buildings from the rooftop!
My seven-​year-​old loved the complementary cookies!

Checked into the hotel on 10÷24÷15 at 0200 am and was assigned room #1109. Upon entering the room we noticed it was an ADA room with no tub. I immediately called the front desk and requested a non-​ADA room. The receptionist informed me #1109 was a «standard» room and it would cost and extra $ 75.00 per day to upgrade to a «deluxe» room. I double checked my reservation and it did not indicate no tub. Since we had a long flight and it was late we decided not to make a big issue. I’ve stayed at Days Inn hotels to five star Westin hotels and have never heard of such an upgrade.
After a restless night of sleep or lack of we woke up with sore backs. The pillows were flat and provided no support. For Hyatt standards the bed also lacked support. The next morning when I walked out the shower the bathroom floor had a mini flood from water overflowing from the ADA style shower, which created a unsafe slippery surface. After spending $ 300.00+ per night the hotel should provide better service and product to their valued customers.
The only reasonable conclusion we could find was since we were probably the last guests to check in for the night our room was given away at a higher rate and we received what remained.
If the GM for this hotel happens to read this review please go experience room #1109 for yourself.
The positive were the doormen at the hotel. They were approachable and answered our questions and provided helpful tips to get around in the city.

We stayed at the Hyatt Times Square our first two nights in New York.
We got to the hotel super early, the staff were super friendly (reception and cleaning). Thankfully the hubby is a platinum member and we were able to get early check in.
Our room had a nice view of the city. We were closer to the top and also got to check out the view from their rooftop bar (more awesome).
Like any hotel in the city, they do not have a pool. The traffic is terrible, but that’s the city.
Overall, if you can afford the splurge of staying in the heart of Times Square, this Hyatt is a pretty nice.

I stayed in the hotel From Saturday to Monday — found an amazing price.
I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay at;
first and for most — the location!!! oh, man. The location is just perfect. Literally on the times square. And you can get else where with the subway which is about 3 minutes walk.
Second of all, the room was so clean, decorated very nicely.
The staff was friendly (although I didn’t have much interaction with them).
Bottom line — I would definitely go back there. Especially when staying there cost me about the same as taking a place from airBnb.

This hotel is newer and the customer service is great. Staff is very friendly. The bed is very comfortable.
The location is in close proximity to time square. It is very convenient to walk to time square, penn station, Bryant park, 5^th ave, Rockefeller center and Central Park.

Nice outdoor seating and friendly staff but food options and menu was fair. The best part was the nice outdoor seating and the ceased salad with chicken was good! This is not a review of the upstairs seating.

Took the family to New York for our vacation. Wanted to stay at Times Square. Glad we stayed there. The room was excellent. Large room with two queen beds. Very clean. Nice view.
The only complaint is the bar on the 54^th floor. Bad service. We waited 30 min to get drinks when it was relatively empty. The waitresses were terrible. They would just walk around and not wait on anyone. We weren’t the only ones complaining that night. We complained and they gave us a free round which was ok (2 drinks = $ 64). But for the room, I would definitely stay again. Just won’t go to the bar. Great view just terrible service and really high prices.

Stayed here for a week and absolutely loved the service and cleanliness. The lobby of the hotel isn’t too large, but the rooms themselves are very reasonably sized. The hotel is luckily located in a slightly calmer part of Times Square, so you can still have access to all the convenience of being in the area while avoiding the complete craziness of the place.
I also used the gym everyday while I was here and absolutely loved it! It was fully equipped with everything that I needed (cardio machines, mats, lightweights, etc.) and had plenty of clean towels. My boyfriend, who prefers using heavy weights, thought the gym was just average.

I have stayed at this hotel at least 5 times and it always has been a good experience. The staff is friendly and always help with any requests for upgrades, early check ins and late check outs.
The rooms are great and super clean.
The gym comes in handy :)
I haven’t tried the restaurant inside the hotel as the location of the hotel gives access to so many restaurants around. Loads of shopping areas easily accessible as well.
This has now become my Goto hotel in New York.

We reach the hotel at 4pm and the luggage guy response very quick to carry out luggage without saying anything, then we checked in took a second in that I can’t imagine how fast it was. They provide me with all of my request like high floor and away from elevator. We went to the room the best thing is only 11 rooms in the floor so it so quite. The rooms are fully new furnished. The strange thing they do have a paper named «HYATT has it» just circle at the items and they will provide that. They do have a complementary WI-​FI in the rooms.
I would like to thank the manager of today he gave me late check out because of my surgery.

SECOND STAY AT HYATT TIMES SQUARE: FANTASTIC
I just returned from my second stay at the Hyatt Times Square and I have to say, it could not have been better. Well, the weather could have been nicer but I can’t blame the folks at The Hyatt for the cold & rain.
The last visit I experienced, and wrote about on TripAdvisor, I ran into a couple staff members that were not very outgoing or welcoming. This trip was the complete opposite as I was greeted at the curb by a friendly, helpful Bellman. As I entered the building I was again greeted by staff and directed to the front desk.
The female front desk agent who checked me in was very friendly and professional. She stamped my key card envelope with #POTF — She said, «Part Of The Family.»
I upgraded this trip to a suite for the extra space as I had work to do during the stay. I have to stay, if you are able to, get an upgrade and relax. I was fortunate enough to get a corner room and the views were awesome. (Request 4901)
Being on the 49^th floor I was concerned about long waits for the elevators. At no time during the 4 days did I ever have a long wait.
THE ROOM
The living room has a very comfortable couch, side chair and a work desk. Unlike other hotels in the city this room came with a ton of outlets for cellphones and other electronic devices. There is also a great view from the living room windows — windows that open too by the way. If for some reason you don’t like the view of NYC, just draw the drapes and the room can be blacked out. (Note: Do not pull the drapes, there is a string behind them to open or close them. I found that out the hard way.)
A small refrigerator is also provided in all rooms and comes in very handy.
The bathroom is large with an interesting enclosed bathtub /​shower area. (see photos) As I said in my previous review the water pressure in the shower is awesome, especially while using the wand.
The bedroom is also a good size with a comfortable Hyatt bed. You will also find plenty of outlets in the bedroom. There are two open outlets on either side of the bed for the guest to use. The telephone power cord goes under the desk to another outlet. There was plenty of closet and drawer space for your clothes and other items in the bedroom and even a hook on the wall for a jacket or two.
There is decent wifi in the room and also in the lobby area of the hotel.
THE RESTAURANT
One night I grabbed a burger and fries from the hotel restaurant located in the lobby and took it back to the room. I was shocked by how good they were, the burger was full of flavor and fries were crispy just how I like them. I highly recommend you try a burger while you’re there.
ROOFTOP BAR
I stopped in at the Rooftop Bar just to see what was going on up there and was glad I did. It has a very relaxed vibe, not loud and crazy. There are no velvet ropes and security guards posted at the elevators that can intimidate people. I am looking forward to my next visit with friends so we can go spend time up there and enjoy the view.
HOUSEKEEPING
The Housekeeping Staff is outstanding, friendly, accommodating and professional. I usually sleep in late, certainly past the time they would show up to make up the room. I will call when I leave the room for lunch and when I return the room has always been made up for me. While going for ice one day I overheard a housekeeper singing while making up a room close to the ice machine. She had a very good voice too!
LOCATION
Just steps from the Times Square area and many Broadway shows. The hotel is also right next door to Connolly’s Irish Pub & Restaurant — great food & a Phenomenal staff.
Check out the photos of the room, rooftop bar, gym and grounds. Then go ahead and book your own stay — ask for a corner room if possible and of course the higher up the better.

Ist es Zufall das alle nur von der Bar im 54 Stock begeistert sind? Nein definitiv nicht. Ja die Bar ist toll oder sagen wir mal die Aussicht ist toll aber des wars dann auch schon. Ich finde aber die negativen Seiten dieses Hotels überagen einfach:
* Kostenpflichtiges W-​Lan ist in der heutigen Zeit einfach ein absolutes NO-​GO!
* Ich hatte genau 2 einfache Bitten an die Rezeption die beide mit einem netten NEIN beantwortet wurden. Super nicht wahr!!! Der Service ist einfach nur schlecht, mir fällt kein anderen einfaches Wort ein. Unfreundlich und schlecht. Nur der Doorman lächelt und hilft. Und wagen Sie es ja nicht den Concierge etwas zu fragen :) das ist kein Witz, es waren 2 verschiedene vor Ort die von mir angesprochen wurden und beide haben genau die gleiche Vorgehensweise, was den Gedanken aufruft, ob die des vllt so gelernt haben? Ich komme und begrüße den Menschen und dieser bleibt mit beidem Händen an seinem Laptop und dreht nur ganz leicht die Augen zu mir rüber, auf die Art «du störst mich gerade aber was wills du?» Als Gast sollte man sich nicht störend fühlen, oder irre ich mich da? Schliesslich soll man doch zufrieden abreisen und wieder kommen.
* Das I-​Tüpfelchen ist es dann, das der Concierge einem den Weg zum Flughafen falsch erklärt!!! Gehts noch??? Die haben sogar so einen kleinen Flyer entworfen und uns gegeben wo die Ubahn und Zugverbindungen zum Flughafen drauf stehen, und dieser ist falsch!!! Sorry aber ich kann des nicht verstehen. Der Zug E fährt vom 8ave./42str. ab und auf dem Flyer steht 7ave./42str. Sicherlich ist des nur eine Strasse aber sollte sich eine so große Hotelkette nicht mit so etwas auskennen??? Wobei des grad mal 3 Strassen vom Standort entfernt ist und warscheinlich sogar einige Mitarbeiter diesen Zug benutzen. Fällt da keinem auf das diese Flyer falsch sind?
Ich habe den Fehler gemacht, mich von der Neueröffnung und der Bar ködern zu lassen, aber des Millenium direkt auf der anderen Strassenseite war viel viel besser und freundlicher. OOO und es gibt keine Lobby :) da ist nur der Eingang wo 3 Hocker und né Caoch stehen, des wars!
