HSBC Bank USA N.A.

On Sat 1÷18÷14 I drove to the nearest HSBC branch with Saturday hours to cash my payroll check since this where the Company I work has it’s finances.
Branch was quite empty so no much waiting.
A lady calls me up to the window and so after a greeting I handed her my payroll check and asked to please cash it for me.
She helded it in her hand for nearly 3 minutes looking at the check and at her computer monitor.
So I figured let me place in the window my drivers license along with my job ID since she isn’t asking.
She immediately grabbed them and started to jump her eyes between my IDs her monitor and my payroll check. And another 3 minutes goes by and she says why here from so far?
REALLY??? If she was well trained she would be more sensitive to realize all her branches are closed on Saturdays within miles and miles. So I realize is not her fault she probably does not know any better so I replied I just happen to be visiting a friend nearby while smiling. She smiled back and said no wonder.
I asked her why was it taking so long since there shouldn’t be a problem since we are a huge Company that works with the State and has millions of dollars in the account. She smiled and said I know and walked away with my check after I asked her if I should endorse the check, to which she repplied no yet and walked away.
After making me wait for an extra 15 minutes she comes to tell me she could not cash my check, which is from her Bank, because supposedly there is a warning in the account.
I found this absurd and requested to speak to the branch Manager.
A lady by the name of Daranie Edward was siiting at a remote desk and didn’t even bother to stand up and greet me. She then proceeded to in a very unprofessional manner to explain the same thing to me. I already knew this. Her story and her teller story were both unacceptable. This isn’t my first time cashing a payroll check from my job so this made no sense.
I explained to the Branch Manager it was unacceptable and I will follow up to check her story the very next business day. She repplied you do what you have to. REALLY!!! Customer service is horrible and the branch Manager is a glorified individual handling the wrong job position.
