This was the worst hotel that I have ever stayed. They have no hot water and a complimentary porno channel!!! They provide no paperwork at check in or check out. I should have known to run for the hills when she offered to accept my payment in cash. What hotel accepts cash? I booked the room through Travelocity for 2 nights. I provided my itinerary to the front desk and she charged and booked me for the room. Only to find out the following night she only booked me for 1 night. Management called and woke me at 1am to discuss the discrepancy. He was extremely rude and instantly criminalized me by accusing me of trespassing. He threaten to put me out in 7 degree weather with a wind chill of –15 degrees AFTER I told him I would pay for the room but I had an issue with the lack of documentation and paperwork from the hotel. This boutique hotel is a great addition to the heights me and my wife had made last minute plans to stay close to the city and for the price of 149 it’s not bad at all. We and free wifi and breakfast included I will definitely be staying here again

I would say one star for this hotel is generous and that is only because it was clean. The people running the place don’t seem to know what they’re doing and they don’t even accept credit cards. How do run a hotel without accepting credit cards unless it’s a brothel? Unfortunately We had no comforter or blankets on the bed. I guess they expected us to use the bed spread as a blanket, which I could only tolerate because the hotel was so new. The towels were very rough and too small. Although it’s a brand new hotel the light in the bathroom didn’t work and it took ten minutes to get hot water. On top of that… the balcony door would not lock. Not too safe in NY City. The value for the dollar was low. They have the nerve to charge $ 149 and actually raise the rates on the weekend as if $ 149CASH wasn’t punishing enough. I think, unless you can’t drive or take the subway, your better off finding a hotel in another neighborhood… unless the Cliff Hotel dramatically improves their offering.

«This is the changing point of the heights» I gotta say I was very impressed walking past this newly built hotel! walking across the street this hotel caught my eye and I was actually waiting around to go to a Unilocal event(cause I didn’t really want to truck it back to the Bronx just to wait) so I decided, with the amount of time I had left to walk in and see what this place was about! «The lobby» It was extremely hot that day and I already had a button up shirt and a tie so coming into the lobby the AC hit my entire body instantly as the doors opened up! I noticed the front desked people were up front, they greeted me upon me walking in and I asked if I could have some water(I was dehydrated so I thought I asked) and they actually gave me a bottle of water! So that in itself was a awesome gesture in my book. So I took a seat the front lobby seats were colorful and literally so comfortable I was dozing off lol «The bathroom» So of course I wanted to do some sight-seeing so I walked around and found their bathroom and it was so clean and fresh I was more than happy to use it. «Rooms, rooms, rooms» From walking from floor to floor(cause I was walking around looking in the building) I noticed the rooms(thanks the cleaning lady) being finished and it was a descent size room with a king size bed, with a huge TV and the bathroom from what I saw was very upscale was very impressive! «The results/overall» I’d would love to throw events here! I noticed that they were more space for things to be done so in curious to see what in stores for this hotel. This place just opened and already they choose to open in the heights which could be a hit or miss but already they are making a excellent name for themselves here in the heights! I wish them all but the best and I will be back to try this place out!
