Bill Koenigsberg founded Horizon Media in 1989, his proactive, hands-​on approach with clients has helped forge the strong relationships that have paved the way for Horizon’s growth and success.

Under his leadership, Horizon has grown from a fledgling agency which began on one floor of a New York office building to a marketing powerhouse with close to 750 employees, representing more than 90 clients, and with additional offices in Los Angeles, San Diego and Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

With billings over $ 4 billion dollars and 800 employees, Horizon Media is the largest and fastest-​growing independent media agency in the world, representing clients such as GEICO, Capital One, United Airlines, A&E Networks, Weight Watchers as well as numerous others.

With over 30 years’ experience in the media industry, Bill Koenigsberg’s role at Horizon Media, which he founded in 1989, begins with setting leadership standards and enforcing a client service and strategic philosophy… the hallmarks of the company’s success.

Bill is regularly sought out by the industry press for his authoritative insights into marketing and media trends and is often asked to sit on industry conference panels. In 2001, Bill was the recipient of the prestigious Advertising Age Media Maven Award. In 2006, he was honored as Media Executive of the Year by MediaWeek Magazine and in 2008 and 2009 he was featured as one of the industry’s top 50 most influential executives in the business in the annual Mediaweek 50 report. He was also nominated by Min Online in 2009 as one of the most 21 intriguing people in the media industry.
