I found the experience shopping in the store is quite annoying. The design and quality of their merchandises are more about personal taste and affordability, and I won’t comment on that. But when I was looking for a bed there, the salesmen I had some conversations were quite rude and only would engage in talks like«here is the order, you should sign here», otherwise just walk away. Not only the first young guy was like this, but the other senior staff behaved the same way. No welcome, no goodbye, no smile, only order book is there for you. I wasn’t expecting a fantastic shopping experience. And I fully understand the eagerness for the deal esp. when someone’s income heavily depends on the commission. But if you only talk to clients’ checkbook, I wish you a good luck with a good business.

I came here on a Friday to purchase a cheap mattress. I was told they would deliver my mattress the following Sunday, but called on Saturday to tell me they wouldn’t arrive until Monday. When Monday came around, they delivered the mattress an hour late which is impressive considering I live around the corner. The deliver was fast and painless, and for the price I paid this service should be expected.

I was drawn to this store a few weeks ago, by the handful of attractive and very affordable shelves by the entrance(the 15“x15“x80″ one was only $ 100). Once I returned home and fully absorbed my then tragic furniture situation(mostly plastic from Kmart), I knew my apartment was overdue for an upgrade. The cheerful and approachable salesperson, who spoke both English and Cantonese fluently, helped me quickly find great furniture candidates. They had about eight kinds of shelves, and ten types of TV stands(plus all the other essentials). The next-day delivery came roughly on time, and the delivery saint carried the furniture up all flights of stairs and constructed and placed everything within a half hour, while conversing with me and getting snapchatted, which is amazing, because it would have taken me the rest of the day, possibly more if I didn’t cancel my date again. My room smelled like sweat and wood dust for maybe an hour. You should order furniture from here just to see these amazing craftsmen at work! Be sure to have some cash on hand, for the tip.

I came across this traditional Chinese furniture store because I am tired of the wear and tear problems of IKEA products, and plus I don’t have a whole lot of budget for my new apartment, this store gave me a great deal on the set of Sheila couch and closet with a reasonable price. The store is not big but decent, some products are one of a kind. Definitely ask for recommendations from the sales, they offered me samples of catalogs and possible custom designs for furniture that is going to look great for my room. They are not pushy, easy check out I’m happy with my decision! I have to give my Props to them, especially the delivery men for doing a great job! They came just when I expected, very punctual, professional and respectful. I will sure be back for future purchases.

My experience with the service in this store is nothing but negative. Customer Services with the installation was horrible. There are cracks and scratches all over the furniture’s. Cracked slats was setup on the bottom of the bed. Replacement slats for the bed did not fix. No proper tools used on the replacement slats. Instead off using a saw to cut the wood they used a power drill to cut the wood. All I see was drilled holes on the slates. Night Stand was cracked in front between the two drawers. Asking them to replace the night stand was a nightmare and still is. Still waiting for a call from them. Their excuses about the defective furniture’s, it comes from the manufacture. What an excuse!!! Do not purchase any furniture’s from this store!!! Anything free is not worth it.

Best quality for the money. I just received my furniture and very very happy. They have similar things to their competitor Downtown Furniture, but they are priced $ 40-$ 60 cheaper. They always have sales and lean more towards sleek modern contemporary furniture. Main reason why I love their furniture: it’s all super HIGH! I have super high ceilings with less floor space. Their furniture caters to it. There is a white and espresso line of furniture that are all the same height. They have cheap large sliding wardrobes cheaper than IKEA’s Pax wardrobe and bookcases that are as high as the Billy bookcases with the height extensions. I am planning to buy nice storage boxes to put on top of all the furniture or even nice display cubbies for books and art. Tips: 1) Ask for the sales rep Jimmy, he speaks English well and knows the furniture. 2) If you are serious about purchasing, then offer to pay in cash… trust me, do it 3) Ask for English speaking delivery men and watch them put the furniture together. They know what they are doing and assemble it fast, but sometimes they will not realize you want something to open one way or a shelf higher… and it is hard to redo it yourself without breaking something. PLEASE tip delivery men well. at least $ 15-$ 20/hr for each guy if they are super fast. 4) Ask for stock checks if you want more than 1 of something. They usually carry 2 of the bigger items 5) ASKTOLOOKINTHEIRFURNITURECATALOGUES! They can order furniture that is not displayed! Also they a book of high end designs that look like they belong in a museum of modern architecture. They must be ordered and the furniture is made on order basis only. The delivery and assembly fee is free if you spend a certain amt.(couple hundred?) and that makes all the difference. At Ikea, you need to wait on long lines and then pay money to get it delivered and you need to spend your own time putting it together. On top of that if you are a decent person you will tip the Ikea delivery people as well. Also, don’t be overwhelmed by pushy salesmen in asian furniture stores. That’s how most of them are back in the motherland so they carry that style over. They like to cater to you and follow you one on one as you browse the store. It’s a cultural difference, nothing personal… a little annoying sometimes, but useful at times.

I walked around Chinatown today to find affordable furniture without breaking the bank. Rumor has it that these furniture stores here will deliver for free and install for you as well as long as you don’t live too far away. Since Ikea charges at leas $ 99 for a piece of big furniture, I know Chinatown will be my best bet. Hong Kong Furniture Co has the best deal of all. I did find all the stores here will let you negotiate somewhat. The furniture all looks pretty much the same too(I feel like they all come from the factory, or at least they look that way lol) Anyway, eventually this place offers the best deal and the most friendly service so I would recommend coming here if you are only looking to buy a couple pieces of furniture, don’t own a van and or don’t want to install yourself.

Most Chinese furniture stores tend to sell things that are of IKEA quality and of Chinatown prices. Hong Kong Furniture Ltd. has a good array of the Chinese variety with less emphasis on eastern style furniture and more of a concentration on contemporary stuff. There isn’t much in this store, given how small it is and how limited the items must be, I would be surprised if they had more than 3 things of the same kind here. But for those searching for furniture that isn’t in the regular furniture stores around the city, this may be a good spot to look. There are some good deals to be had here. The last time I was here they had a 50% sale up, but for all I know the 50% price could be the actual price. Whatever the price tags say, feel free to try to negotiate a little. Most of the time sales associates will budge the price a tad much like a car sales person. Just be firm and show that you want it by committing by not going over budget. Most of all, do it in cash. Yes, I’m totally serious.
