Love Hibba NYC! I’ve been coming here for awhile for a variety of waxing/​threading services and have never had a complaint. My friends have also all had positive experiences here. Recently, I applied to be a volunteer for brow reformation and was selected! It was an awesome experience and my brows already look amazing. I’m so happy I was able to do this and I felt like I was in good hands. It takes about 5 – 7 days for the brows to fade into their natural color but I’m already getting compliments. Highly recommend!!!

I visit Hibba about every 2 – 3 weeks for an eyebrow threading appointment with Nilam. She is a total sweetheart and knows exactly how to make my brows look perfect. I am so glad I found Hibba and have been visiting them for about two years now! I don’t trust anyone else with my brows, these are my go to ladies!

I’ve only done eyebrow threading here, and very happy with their service. The girls actually listen to what you want, and execute it. The place is busy so an appointment is necessary even for eyebrow threading, but they also have accommodated me without one, but with a short wait.

I pop in once a month to have my brows cleaned up by threading. The staff always do a wonderful job! My brows never look too thin which is what I’m normally afraid of.
Threading is a bit uncomfortable, but not as uncomfortable as waxing my brows. The procedure is pretty quick and precise.
The space is very clean and decorated in Hindu sculptures and paintings. Bollywood music is lightly playing in the background. It has a nice vibe.
I’ll keep coming back for my monthly maintenance!

This place is amazing. I’ve been coming to Hibba since 2013 religiously. The service is always great and clean. The staff is super friendly. Natasha does great eyebrows and brazilians. Be sure to catch the pack deals as well. They are super affordable and I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else.

I’ve been going to Hibba well over a year now, and Neelam is my favorite aesthetician. She once said she treats every patient like their own daughter, and you can tell by how sweet she is. In a pinch, I’ve gone to other aestheticians for last minute appointments, I’ve never had anyone at Hibba who wasn’t well trained and efficient. The décor is funky, colorfully painted, and the place always smells amazing. They also have well-​priced package deals that I take advantage of.

One of my favorite places and such a great waxing experience! I’m a stickler about clean environments and this is one of the cleanest for waxing and threading. I’ve tried sugar waxing and found that it doesn’t last as long as hibba’s traditional waxing method. The staff is nice, very informative and professional. Not to mention their waxing packages are amazing and inexpensive

At first had trouble finding the place, but once I got in I was glad I came! Chose it based off the reviews of others on Unilocal and the price point was great ($ 15) compared to others nearby for just brow threading. I was immediately serviced and my brow technician was excellent. Great calming atmosphere, would definitely come back to this place. Complimentary brow filling with pencil was a great touch.

Great service, great value for money. I had a brazilian sugaring and it was the least painful I’ve ever had. Sonia was very professional and kind. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

So I have been coming here for years now. I remember going to Hibba when she only had a chair in a hair salon. I come here to get everything done (brow, lip, underarms, Brazilian and leg from time to time). I look forward to my appointments each and every time. I remember my first Brazilian, Hibba was more excited than I was. I will have to say, everyone’s tolerance for pain is different and reaction to wax is also different from person to person. I have never had a problem! Again, I have been coming here for… 6 to 7 years.
Neelam has been doing my Brazilian and underarms for over a year now and she is awesome! Always makes me feel comfortable and at ease. The process is always quick. She is very thorough as well. I will recommend and will continue to recommend this location to my friends.
Lastly, the packages are worth it!

I’ve been going here for threading and waxing for awhile now, and I’ve never had a negative experience. The wax they use is all natural and the waxers are always friendly and ask if the temperature is OK.
I always leave with my eyebrows looking fantastic, and with the packages they sell it’s always worth the price! For me it’s a bit of a journey to SoHo but for HIBBA it’s worth it.

Hibba reached out to me and apologized about the incident as well as offer me an appt with Neelam. I had a great experience with Neelam, their senior waxing specialist. She suggested to stick with the green azulene wax for me skin. Everyone is different and everyone’s skin is different as well. I’ll definitely be back to finish out my packages, and it’s a great go to place. I really appreciated Hibba messaging me and trying to correct the bad experience. It’s great when business owners show that they care and reach out to their customers. Definitely a happy customer now!
Previous: The packages are a really good deal here. I love the azulene wax that they use, but I tried the sugar wax/​sugaring recently and had a bad experience with skin being ripped off along with the wax, and that would explain why the session was more painful than usual. I still have remaining sessions left in my waxing and threading packages so I’ll be back to try the regular azulene wax again and hope that all goes well. I’m not sure if it’s due to the person providing the service (like using fewer strips for larger areas instead of more strips for smaller areas) or if I’m having a reaction to that wax (even though sugaring is supposed to be for more sensitive skin). No complaints with the threading — it’s similar to a lot of other places like Thread or Pinky’s in the city. They play good music, and it’s a very cozy vibe.

I love Hibba! She is the best for eyebrow threading. She has such a great sense of not only where your eyebrows currently are and how to work with that, but she can come up with a long-​run strategy for you to grow them to get the best shape for your face. She’ll also tint them too if they need it. And she’s just generally really cool and friendly, which is always nice.
You can book appointments online, which is awesome (and super convenient) as well as buy packages of services to save some cash. Hibba herself rotates around the three locations, so if you can only go to a particular location, you should look at booking a bit in advance as her schedule seems to fill up fast.

I wish I could give zero stars. This review has been a long time coming. I’ve contemplated for an extremely long time about whether or not to write, but I’ve finally worked up the courage.
Early in the year, I decided to go to Hibba for a Brazilian based on recommendations from a friend. The ambience was nice enough, and I felt at ease walking in. However, that was the end of the good.
The process was excruciating. I’m no stranger to waxing, but it never hurt this much in my entire life. There were parts where I actually needed the technician to stop because the pain was seething. Some of it actually got on my leg because I almost jumped up at one point. I should have just stopped, but I shrugged it off to it being just a sensitive day. I paid and I walked home, all the while still in intense pain.
A few days later, there was still swelling and I went to a doctor to get myself checked out. Turns out that the pain was actually due to the wax being much too hot, and that the swelling was due to burns. I received after burn cream from my doctor to help heal the skin.
Unfortunately, there were a few spots that didn’t heal so I am left with permanent burn scars. Two to be exact. I was also scarred from waxing for almost the entire year until I found the nicest place in the garment district where I’ve had no problems.
So please, please be cautious when coming here. They have wonderful reviews, but my situation was both scarring and tragic. Now I am left with burns for the rest of my life.

Introduced to Hibba by a friend and love the threading work as well as its fair price. The packages are worth it and you don’t have to decide on the package until after you’ve seen their work. The facilities are all clean and filled with friendly staff. I had one great threader and one great waxer. I’m excited to refer this to all my friends and to return for future appointments.

First place where they take their time to clean and fix your eyebrows I love the fact that they are patient with all of their clients. I wish I knew about this place sooner, I have very thin eyebrows and every time I went to get them threated they will leave them way too thin and sometimes one eyebrow was shorter than the other, it was just a big hot mess.
Last month I went to their Columbus Circle location for their grand opening and Neetu explained to me what I had to do for the next 2 weeks for better eyebrows, I had to come back but decided that their SOHO location is more convenient because it’s closer to home.
I called Hibba-​SOHO yesterday to see if they had any appointments available on such a short notice and the receptionist booked me in without a problem and was very sweet over the phone. I got there 5 minutes after my appointment thinking I wasn’t going to be able to be taken care off but I was just in time because Neelam just finished with her prior client. I just have to say that Neelam is the best all-​around she went into detail about eyebrow care and post care for my Brazilian wax and made me feel as if I was a Queen. Overall great service that even though it takes me 40 minutes to get there I will come back because they are that good; I even purchased a package online from them after I got home.

I was only here a few hours ago, but I need to sing Hibba’s praises now. I only get my eyebrows done sporadically – typically I just tweeze to maintain the shape afterwards as opposed to making regular trips. BUT, after finally getting my eyebrows threaded after years of waxing, I’ve been convinced that this is a worthwhile investment.
Not much room for commentary here, because everything was so damn efficient. First off, it’s a lovely little oasis in the heart of Soho, which can be overwhelming if you’re not there with an agenda (at least for me). The ladies at the desk are accommodating and sweet – they don’t try to rush you in and out before you have time to even think about whether or not you’re satisfied with the service.
If there’s such a thing as a «threading powerhouse», ii would be Hibba. This woman is completely deserving of these rave reviews. She’s incredibly quick, which was a bit frightening as a first-​timer. She’s certainly not prioritizing speed at the expense of thoroughness – I think she’s just that good. Whether I’m convinced or brainwashed at this point, I don’t think I’ll be going back to waxing unless I have a traumatizing experience here. Hibba noticed that my eyebrows seemed a bit too trimmed down, and told me it was pretty clear that this was due to waxing. I had no idea! She then gave me a little lesson in what appropriate brow maintenance looks like, which I’ve never had. So I got a bit of education out of this experience too.
A couple general notes:
–You can buy packages, which shaves (no hair pun intended) a ton off your price per session. I opted for the 5 package options since I’m a newb, but they offer larger bundles as well.
–They also having full body waxing, if that’s your thing. They recommend threading for any facial hair, but if you want a side of bikini wax with your eyebrow threading (this is a restaurant review site, after all), it’s an option.
–You can book appointments online – just be aware that if you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment, you’ll be charged (they ask for a credit card to have on file as part of the booking process).

Wow, the service is WONDERFUL.
This place is right across the street from the Prince st. Chobani store. I was pretty confused at first, but yes it is upstairs and they have to buzz you upstairs.
Convenient location, honestly. You can shop all day, then get lunch and your wax in Soho.
You are greeted by a lady at the desk. She’ll take your name, then offer you water and candy. It’s amazing that your first full bikini wax is only $ 28. Absolutely worth it.
They also have plenty of packages that you can buy online.
You can also make an appointment online, which is extra convenient, given that you definitely need an appointment for a wax. These ladies are busy! This place is a true gem. Neelam did my bikini wax and she was fantastic! She’s so sweet! I definitely recommend her.

Their system is modern and you can book online, and they usually take you within 5 minutes of your appt or keep you updated. I enjoy going there because they keep the conversation going and are so genuine!
