From her website, you can see that she’s a a leading specialist in American Folk Art, American Decorative Arts and Furniture and generalist household appraisals. I’ve always hated the phrase «overqualified» for a task or a job, because I think it’s anti-​intellectual and anti-​curiosity and anti-​knowledge. She embodied, in our exchanges about my furniture, this philosophy. She was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, personable and prompt in getting back to me. I think her advice wound up being more valuable than my valuables, but she was so respectful and full of knowledge and curiosity rather than snobbery. She was extremely helpful to me and also suggested resources for furniture repair and selling what I had. You can see from her website that she’s highly respected. She is also, my guess, highly liked. Qualified and overqualified for what I needed but just my cup of tea.
