HARRIS Landscape Architecture

We recently built a new home in Westchester and hired Will Harris as our landscape architect. Over the years, we have used several «high end» landscape architects, but so often, they were more concerned with their reputation than our needs. Will is not like this at all. He listens, he asks questions, and he was not satisfied until we were satisfied. I felt like he was available at every step of the way. He returned all of my emails and phone calls within a matter of hours! And, even though we kept changing our minds over and over (especially my wife, I am embarrassed to say), he was very patient with us.
He designed a landscape that incorporated every thing on my «wish list». I can’t believe he was able to make it all look so easy and cohesive. Even though he is a landscape architect, we view him an artist of nature and an intellectual. I can’t believe that he knew every book that I have ever read, and I consider myself a bibliophile. He explained to us the rationale for each decision and the pros and cons of multiple options. Plus, he showed us multiple color options so that we had a sense of how the finished product would look.
His design included not only an amazing overall landscape, but also an outdoor living room, an elegant area for parties, a cutting garden, and other special touches that I would have never considered.
He worked alongside our architect, interior designer, and contractor and somehow got along with all of them. Not an easy task. My favorite recommendation that he made was the incredible fountain right outside of my study. I am just so happy and so is my wife and three young children. They love exploring the property with their friends which of course makes me so happy. Thanks Will.
