Happy Dogs at Stuyvesant Town

My dog mini poo Riley loves this place, he has been going since he was a little pup. Once he had all of his required shots. When we first sent him we were worried he was only around 6 – 7 pounds but, he was totally fine, the dogs are well supervised, and you can watch them on camera via the internet. Riley must have been to happy dogs over 50 times. We usually send him once or twice a week. He even did a night over when we went out of town for a weekend.
He used to look back when I take him now he just goes. He even walks there when, its closed. A The staff loves dogs and my dog is well loved when he is there. It is much better than a dog park and much safer. All of the dogs have to go through a temperament test so if they are aggressive they will not pass. It is very important for your dog to be properly socialized, this is the best way to do it. We love happy dogs, you should definitely check it out, they have amazing deals for first time customers.

Love this place. Everyone at Happy Dogs is so friendly and cares so deeply about dogs. From the first day there, they instantly recognized my dog and me as soon as I walked through the doors. When I go to pick up my dog, they immediately know which dog to call for. the facilities are clean and you can always watch what is going on via the webcam. my dog LOVES going to Happy Dogs and pulls into that direction every time we go in the vicinity. they open every day and their pricing is very reasonable.

The worst part about moving away from Gramercy is losing Happy Dogs.
Our Vizsla, Parker, LOVED it here. The staff couldn’t have been nicer, they always treated her with such excitment when she would arrive, and I could see from the photos they post on Facebook and Instagram that they were really interacting with her and playing with her a lot. She’s a big time snuggler and she was often on someone’s lap (she’s 60lbs, FYI).
Parker definitely liked being here more than she liked being home, that’s for sure. She always came home tired from all her fun. We would drop her right at 7AM before work and pick her up between 6−7PM. That’s a long day for a dog to play, but she was always fine and happy and excited to go back.
The staff would also cut her nails for us when we asked, give her a treat and a scratch, feed her with our specifications, check on her more frequently when we noticed she didn’t feel well. There’s a camera in the playroom, so if you are really worried about how your animal is being treated, you can always check in. It’s gentle, honest play from start to finish.
We have used other dog day care centers for boarding and full days of play, and this one is far and away our favorite.
I’m so sorry to leave it behind as well as our old neighborhood. If you have a dog and need a place to take him or her, this is it. I can’t say enough nice things about the facility and staff. Oh and of note, they have a small outdoor play area. Yes, in NYC, a little bit of sunshine for your dog. I always thought that was such a nice touch.
Happy Dogs For The Win!

My review is for the wonderful service I received at Happy Dogs at McCarren Park, and most recently, Happy Dogs at Stuy Town. Ever since I moved to New York, I have relied on Happy Dogs for impeccable service and personable treatment.
I recently moved from Brooklyn to the Upper East Side and while I’d prefer to find something closer in the area for my pup, I make the trip down to Stuy Town so my pup can stay with the amazing folks at Happy Dogs. They provide updates while I am out of town so I know my little man is happy and healthy. They really care about dogs and they care about the humans that bring their animals to the facility.
The prices are incredibly reasonable for the service they provide. They are always excited to see my dog, and he comes back tired and happy. If we lived closer, he would be there every week for daycare. But for now, I know that they are there when I need them for longer stays. And I trust them completely to give my puppy-​dog the best vacation while I am out of town.
Highly recommended!

Sometimes, I think my dog likes this place more than she likes my apartment. I can’t blame her however, Happy Dogs is filled with a staff that loves each and every dog. To add, she gets to play with her friends all day in a safe and supervised environment. The staff is always quick to answer any questions or concerns about my dog– they understand how it is to be a dog mom/​dad. It’s apparent that my dog loves Happy Dogs because as we turn the corner onto 23^rd and 1^st she starts pulling her leash to get there faster!
Additionally, my dog has stayed there dozen times overnight and was always well taken care of. I used to check the webcam constantly, to make sure she was ok. I don’t even check it anymore– I know she’s in great hands.

Happy dogs at Stuyvesant is absolutely amazing. my French bulldog, Romeo, has been attending daycare here since 2013 and he loves it. The staff is so kind and friendly. They truly care for the dogs and it shows whenever I pick up Romeo! We are moving to CT and are so so sad to leave them but will be back to visit for sure. Highly recommend them!

Happy Dogs is a wonderful home away from home for our two dogs Buddha and Bronx. The staff is fantastic to our boys and flexible with our schedule. Great place!

It would be hard to find a better dog daycare than Happy Dogs! For the past year they have watched my dog, Lucy, every weekday. The staff is always professional and friendly, and most importantly, responsible and caring. I highly recommend Happy Dogs to anyone in the area who needs a dog daycare… you can take your dog here without any hesitation or concern.

This place is the best. Your dog will love it and the employees are the best. I highly recommend it.

This place is great! My dog loves it here so much that I’m jealous I can’t hang out here all day. The staff is friendly, helpful and well versed in dog care. The owner is quick to respond to all questions and she truely cares about your dog, and you!

This place is great! My Chihuahua comes for daycare every now and then when he stays with his Grandma, who lives around the corner. If I lived on the Eastside, this would be my preferred daycare place (and I have tried all of them)… They are kind, considerate and caring… and take caring for your loved one very seriously.

I was in NYC earlier this month for work/​vacation. Because of an unexpected work function, I couldn’t bring my dog whom went with me on the trip. Having used Happy Dogs before, I came to this location since it was closer to my hotel. The owner Jen was there and she actually remembered Milo from last time (cute dogs always get the girls). The staff were super friendly and accommodating since Milo can get a bit shy around strangers. The one thing that really stood out to me was given there were so many dogs in the vicinity, you couldn’t really smell them. The place was kept very clean, like the other location.
When I had to pick up Milo a few hours later, he was so tired from playing with his new friends. Would I come back next time I’m in NYC, you bet and same goes for Milo.

Checked out the facility here for the 1^st time since we re thinking of leaving our dog here next month… Unlike the other places, the staffs here are so knowledgeable and friendly, everything is very organized, clean and tidy. We saw a lady checked out her dog at the front and she said this was her try out day and the dog is sooooo happy lol The pricing/​promo packages are very reasonable too! Definitely taking our dog here when we go on our trip!

The Happy Dogs staff have continuously taken incredible care of my little guy Scout from the day we stepped through the door. The facility is well taken care of, completely affordable (I’m a graduate student/​tutor so that should give you some perspective), and their staff is perfect; this trifecta in NYC is hard to come by. The staff is extremely well versed in the care needed for all dogs but at the same time they give your family member (they’re not just pets) individualized service.
I have personally had the privilege of working with Lucie, Celeste, Jorge, Ashley and Jennifer (the owner) and I feel extremely thankful to have known them and grateful that Scout had the ability to be part of their Happy Dogs family. They have picked up and dropped off Scout enough to know how to curb his habitual run-​like-​a-​crazy-​dog around the apartment routine. They are prepared with methods in house and in their facility to calm dogs and get them ready for appropriate play. He’s boarded, been groomed, walked… honestly you name it, they’ve done it for us and they’ve done it extremely well. I am so sad that we are moving, but I know if we’re ever back in the area Scout has a place to call home. Thanks again to Jennifer and the staff once again!

I can’t say enough good things about Happy Dogs at Stuyvesant Town and the people who work there. Our dog pulls on the leash in the direction of Happy Dogs when we head out the door in the morning, always happy to see his favorite pack leaders and best doggy friends.
I know he’s having a great time all day long, because clients have access to a webcam of the facility during daytime business hours and I’ll see him curled up for a nap with friends or running full-​speed in a chasing game. Happy Dogs also posts adorable candid photos of the dogs on Facebook and Instagram (complete with even cuter captions).
The boarding service is crate-​free, and the unlimited monthly daycare package includes a free bath. The staff really get to know each dog, and it’s comforting to know that he’s getting lots of love from the pack leaders when I can’t be home with him.

Our dog has been going to Happy Dogs nearly every day for almost a year now, and he loves it. The entire staff at Happy Dogs truly cares about dogs, and makes every effort to keep families informed about any changes in health or behavior. I have full confidence when I drop off our pup that he is being well taken care of and will have a great time!

An update given the expected response from the owner of Happy Dogs. That our motivation was monetary is simply disgusting. We also noted the updated vaccinations and did NOT request that amount be paid by Happy Dogs — only for the injury that DID occur in their facility. Jennifer was not present when I picked up our dog the day he was injured and she did not see that he refused to allow me anywhere near his belly to view the puncture. Video tapes would show him jumping up and down, excited to see me, yes, but they would also show him not allowing us anywhere near his stomach wound. Jennifer is not a veterinarian nor is anyone on her staff and yet she seems to think she has more experience than trained vets do. If her response to our rating doesn’t say it all (continuing to deny that his happened under her care — and if it was NOT a dog bite, then our dog was punctured on something within her facility which is maybe even more appalling) then I’m not sure what does. Stay away from this place!

I travel a couple times per month for work. It’s great to have found a place in the city that I trust for boarding my Border Collie. My pup couldn’t be happier when we turn the corner to go into the front door. Usually we are inseparable, but she trots right in. I check the webcam on my phone a couple of times per day. It’s great to be able to check in on her. Before I found Happy Dogs, I had taken her to Biscuits and Bath. They’re about $ 20/​day higher, they do not have on-​site boarding near me, and they don’t have a webcam.

The staff here is competent, personable, and warm. I would trust my dog with no one else.

We have been taking our frenchie Rufus here for several months and have been very happy with everything at Happy Dogs. The place is clean, cheerful and well run. The staff is very friendly and you can tell they love dogs. Rufus loves coming to day care and runs inside each morning ready to play. The staff is also great at giving daily updates on how Rufus is doing. Love this place and highly recommend them, Rufus also gives them two paws up!
