If you want to see grown men swinging a key on a string, wearing Justin Bieber tights and looking at themselves in the mirror constantly then you’ve come to the right place!
Arrogant wannabe movie stars with dreadlocks, nose rings, nipple rings, and a chain hooked to their empty wallets. I brought my daughter to NYC for a shopping spree and not one of these Jack wagons was of any help. Good riddance! There is a good correlation between your attitude and career advancement.

Came in here looking for a plain button-​up. They had a good selection and as most people know, when you’re on a clothing budget, it’s hard to beat them. And I spent less than I was planning, no complaints.

The cashiers here are pretty friendly and welcoming. The selections are great, as well as the prices. Be mindful, they don’t have gift boxes here.

Come on Sundays that have holidays attached to em and it won’t be a hot mess. Things will be organized.

All the clothes are pretty but most are made of bad material not only that but the staff are very rude and are not that friendly. There not as I guess friendly as some others at least. I wouldn’t like to exactly say what they said but I will say they have a very rude tone of voice in general, then again some h&m stores are better than others. Other than that I love there style but not so much the «vibe» from the workers. Even though the workers arent supposed to be the problem nice, happy, upbeat workers make me want to come back. Its still a nice place to pick up a little something if you pass one by.

Being that it’s the holidays, I will give the cleanliness a pass– shoppers are hella crazy and tend to throw sweaters and socks everywhere– so rude.
The sale this season is just like past sales. You’ll be a lucky duck finding your size on the clearance racks. The jewelry area is very neat. Whoever is in charge of that area, great job on being a perfectionist. This location has a floor for home goods, which is grand.
They even have personal stylists to help you find the perfect outfit/​wardrobe.
Definitely would go back to shop more.

This is the best H&M. It is a huge. They have a beautiful housewares department. The clothes racks are never jammed full of too much merchandise. You can easily walk between displays. The clothes aisles are clear and clean.
My daughter is the shopper. I follow her around. They do a great job selling to her. For me, I may need to use the bathroom. It is a real adventure. You go to the second floor fitting room. Then you wait in line. When the fitting room attendant gets to you she takes you back a hallway. That’s where she enters a code in the door. It opens to one toilet and sink. At least I got to go!
All I can say is H&M is doing something right. They have stores every couple blocks. I give them four stars for nice work. Just not my style of merchandise. Too many synthetic fabrics. I go more for 100% cotton!

I usually expect ZERO customer service from H&M staff in NY due to bad experiences I’ve had in the past. Tonight I was at this location to return a bag I purchased online. I was at the 3^rd floor and before lineing up, I asked an employee if I can return things here, she said yes. I was in line for almost 10 minutes, when I got to the counter the cashier (His name is Guy) said that online returns are on the first floor. I mentioned to him that a staff member told me I could return my item here. He apologized and personally brought me down to the front of the line on the first floor where he asked his co-​worker to process my return. Guy, was such a gentleman and clearly a great asset to H&M, I give him ¹⁰⁄₁₀ for customer service, The other staff member that helped is Sandy, she was extremely friendly also. Thanks to these people I had a very pleasant experience even though they were very busy and under pressure. Thank you Guy and Sandy.

As an old boss once called it, «Hit & Miss.» There are definitely some funky, cool, and cheap clothes to be found and had, but you need to bring pounds of your patience.
This H&M’s main selling point is its enormous size. There were so many clothes to check out on multiple levels that I got too exhausted and just focused on my top priority. When waiting for a fitting room, don’t wait too much inside the fitting room area or a man will bark at you to get back for safety reasons. Um, okay. I found something that I bought partly because it was cheap though it wasn’t quite I had in mind. I wanted to shop more but I was done for the day.
There was a stupidly long wait to check out. Poor guy was doing his best handling the European girl tourists, but having one person staff the register on a floor is not smart.
Bring your sanity!

Normally H&M’s in the city stress me out due to the number of people, and as a store in general H&M is SO hit or miss. However, I once passed this location and not only did I see really cute clothes but it wasn’t that crowded! Wish I could remember the time!

Es de las tiendas mas grande que tiene Nueva York en cuanto a esta marca se refiere pero eso no es sinónimo de calidad. Al entrar a la tienda salude a uno de los guardias de seguridad quien no respondió a mi saludo, después de eso le pregunte por la sección de ropa de niños a lo que me respondió de mala gana. Fue lo mismo cuando salí de la tienda solamente me miro de arriba así abajo y no volvió a responder a mi saludo. La única persona amable en da tienda fue la señorita encargada de caja quien era muy amable y sonriente.
Qué lástima que tan conocida marca tenga trabajadores con tan pésima actitud.

By far the best H&M I’ve EVER been to. 4 floors of greatness! Always neat, clean and stocked. Every member of their staff seems friendly and helpful. The kids selection is incredible. It’s so hard not to buy every single item in the kids department. Wide selection of jewelry. Security guards greet you on the way in and out. The wait on line for the fitting room or cashier just depends on how busy it is. If you go before lunch time you can get out quick.

This is the NYC flagship store which is 5 floors and supposedly the square footage of a football field. This ensures that you might be able to find something you’re looking for and they have your size unless the style is on its way out. They even have a floor for personal shopping although I don’t know if that’s really necessary, c’mon its H&M!

Much better selection than Columbus Circle, but still a bit of a frustrating experience with long waits for fitting rooms and not much help to be had.

I may be biased as a brand new employee here at H&M, but everything about this company from it’s company ethic, credo and products, to the way it treats it’s customers and employees, makes H&M a fabulous all around experience!

Disclaimer: this is my personal opinion of what shopping is like in NYC — in general. Not specific to this store but to all clothing stores.
First of all, this H&M is the worldwide flagship store. The new, NEW flagship store will open soon around Herald Square.
I love their selection here — they even have items you cannot find online like the Olivia Wilde inspired collection. the store is spacious but due to tourist & local crowding, the shopping gives me great anxiety.
The other noticeable characteristic is that you will find more security than there are staff! When you do happen to locate a staff member, chances are they will give you the «eeks… sorry this is not my floor so I’m not sure» response. On the plus side, they manage to keep the store looking quite organized so it isn’t difficult to locate a size or style on your own.

The new must-​go flagship store since the previous one few blocks away has been shut down. Same great deals as usual, same great variety as usual, but is it me or anyone else thinks the sales are kinda uncaring? Been there a few times, never been asked if I needed help, even while I was apparently looking for something my size.

This h&m is HUGE! It had 4 stories full of merchandise!!! The fourth floor has a home and décor section, which is really cute. It’s located right on 5^th Ave so it’s also a very popular location.
It’s a really bright store with happy employees that greet you when you walk in!

Usually I wouldn’t venture into midtown just to go to an H&M. But this particular location has a HOME SECTION!
Located on the top most floor they’ve got pretty pillow covers in every color, fancy glass dishes for holding candy, and boxes, baskets and bowls for every room in the apartment/​house.
The price point of the home goods are similar to the clothing and accessories found in the rest of the store… and the quality is generally pretty good. Although I haven’t purchased anything yet — I think its inevitable.

Great greeting with a real smile, lots to look at and all of it priced well for quality.
My friend K said she really enjoyed the experience of shopping here and that’s saying alot.

I came here today to buy a suit. Not usually a fan of these types of fast fashion because there is little incentive for the employees to help customers esp since they are not commissioned. They always insist all the sizes are out but I really asked one employee to see if there was one more size of a jacket and she found it in the back for me. But I really had to be pushy for her to look.
Also some of the racks were too stuffed so it was difficult to find my size even on a slow day. Many of the employees were just kind of walking around doing nothing or engaged in personal conversations with one another as well. But a good selection of mens clothes – just wish the employees take more initiative and the cut was more forgiving especially in the suit department. There was a nice hoodie I almost bought as well but I don’t really need it right now.
Also music is a little too loud and brash. When I shop I need something calmer.
Maybe next time I’ll try the personal shopping service.
