History

Established in 2011.

Born from the west coast festival scenes of Burning Man, Lightning in a Bottle, Symbiosis & Coachella, our fashion forward styles convey the fun-​loving sophistication of the urban jet setter. Our clientele believe in standing out from the crowd embracing eclectic identities with their various endeavors. The spirit of the Gypsy wanderer is brought home to New York where the best in world culture is widely embraced.

After roaming the world exploring various movement arts & dance traditions I was smitten by the local fashion in Asia, Europe & Oceania that we seldom have access to in mainstream USA. Inspired by the artisan leatherwork & craftsmanship I witnessed abroad I began frequenting festivals up & down the west coast plying my hand selected imports to customers in search of something unique, sophisticated but still affordable. In 2011, I opened my first boutique in the famous hippie corridor of San Francisco’s Haight Ashbury. Striking a chord in the vibrant club & live music scene – another store in Austin, TX opened the following year. In 2015, the Gypsy brand landed in the Nolita neighborhood of Manhattan offering East Coasters a carefully curated selection of eclectic brands that move with the season & their diverse lifestyles. We are so proud to offer a touch of the west coast burner vibe right here in NY!
