The Greenwich House Outpatient Chemical Dependency Program offers a broad range of services to those in need of care. Our specialized program tracks give individuals the support they need to overcome their addictions, regain self-​sufficiency, integrate into society and build rewarding lives. Evaluation and assessment are conducted onsite, and admission can take as little as one day.

We accept Medicaid and participate in many commercial insurance and managed-​care plans. We can verify your coverage and obtain service authorization, where applicable. Fees can also be calculated on a sliding scale.

History

Established in 1902.

Greenwich House started in 1902 to improve the living conditions among the predominately immigrant population in Greenwich Village, at that time New York’s most congested neighborhood.

From its beginning, Greenwich House committed itself to the individual as a dynamic stimulus for cultural enrichment and individual growth. Today, the House remains a Village bastion committed to save, sustain and expand vital social service and arts programming. The House has offered continuity to its neighbors, sustaining the programs that have proven to be of persistent need and value and implementing new programs to meet the urgencies in behavioral health, arts education and social services.
