Graceland is next door to Gracefully; owned by the same people(they also own Adinah’s). Anything that both places sells, you should get here. It will be cheaper. It’s convenient for minor grocery items, such as a bell pepper, some fruit, tortillas, plastic bags etc. The last time I came in for a block of cheese. As I walked in, a short, stocky gentleman was saying«…next time I’m going to call him a [bundle of sticks]. F*ckin’ [bundle of sticks].» Then he walked toward me and said, «Get out of my way.» And pushed his arms out awkwardly wide so as to bump into me, even though there was plenty of room to get by. When I laughed, he turned around, looked back and said, «Don’t like it? I’ll kill you.» It’s a good thing I liked it. I’m too young to die. So aside from having my life threatened by a rotund, homophobic gentleman, Graceland is A-OK. An extra star for the guy who sells flowers along the outside wall. I once asked him if I could buy just one flower; he said they don’t really do that. But then after a moment, he asked which one I wanted… and clipped it for me, and refused to accept any payment at all! I like that guy.
