I love goodwill thrift shop, it has awesome specific clothing I have never tried before. The environment is beautiful and has tons of cool things like antiques and other's things you can improve your home improvement with. The guard is very persistent in how he does his job, he is professional with his behavior, and he shows concern for others' safety, especially when he catches theft, one awesome guard. Whoever he is, he deserves a promotion and two thumbs up for his dedication for keeping the community safe for us.

Before with the environment, The guard does his job, he makes me feel safe in the store along with my children and whoever is complaining about the security guard is an ungrateful individual knowing the time we're living especially. You should be ashamed!

This Goodwill is going through an identity crisis. Why is a Brooks Brothers 1980s dress $ 20??? You’re a thrift store, not a vintage boutique, and you get your clothing from DONATIONS for FREE. Ughhhhhhhhhhhhh

Have to much stuff? Need to move? Or want someone who deserves your cool items? I honestly saw some dope stuff! This guy was giving his skis to them! I gave them my lap top to use for re used electronics parts for the kids! I’m all about this! Your «trash» is always someone else DIY project or treasure! I’m all about this stuff! It was hard to fill up bins and take to good will, but in the end you are always going to get more stuff! Say bye to the stuff you haven’t used for a while! Drop them off here! They take everything.
This location is «prime». Love it! Easy to find, and overall good product coming into this location!

And if you are a GOODWILL STORE fan, like I am… check out their newest place, open two weeks ago… off Fifth Avenue at 14^th. Clean, super friendly, real busy when I stopped in… LOTS of donated stuff from stores, wide selection of sizes including larger/​plus, a kids’ section, on and on. A Paradise for us thrift shop devotees!

Haven’t been to this location in a few years and noticed that the quality of the merchandise and the store itself has gone downhill. I did find a few items for my niece, but nada for me. The staff was courteous and respectful. However, that white goon security guard, kept following me, as if I was going to rob the place. Not very nice and he was being pretty obvious. A very unpleasant experience! I am not used to this kind of treatment. I am never coming back here again.

Decent enough chain thrift store. There was a large selection of clothes, home goods and books. The staff seemed to be ok here but they seem to be on the move constantly, you almost have to jump in front of someone to get help. Its cool you can donate here, something that is not always readily available or as easy at other thrift stores. I found a accesory here that I was searching other spots in the area and I found it here for cheap. So its a good example of possibly finding exactly what you looking for at a good price. This location itself was ok, but a bit messy.

We stumbled upon this place and found a gold mine… It’s clean, neatly organized, and free from mildew odors! ****Note… If you are carrying large/​shopping bags they make you check them and they have Security.
Also, they have two fitting rooms if you want to try on the goods… Beware… My friend went behind someone who happen to smell like feet and overcooked chicken., hehe… haha…
They had trendy dresses, skirts, shirts, shorts for less than $ 12.99…accessories priced at $ 1.99 and swim suits priced at $ 4.99… Hey you can’t beat that. my friend purchased a dress for $ 7.49. It happened to have a blue tag …½ off sale… I would suggest everyone to check them out…
Of course we will return…

This place is pretty great. It’s cheap, it has a huge selection, and if you wait for the window sales, you can get some insanely priced high quality items. Don’t go with expectations that you’re going to find something awesome — go here to either look for something random that inspires you or go here to look for something and then get out immediately if you can’t find it.

I’ve been here a few times. Cant fairly comment on any regular gems discovered because its out of the way for me. But I can agree, remembering my hand full of visits and being a thrift shop hopper in general, that there are a lot of rules and restrictions and attitudy employees at this branch. But I’ve concluded that people in jobs of service (particularly retail) often feel less than; so getting strict with stupid rules of standing here, not there — boosts their egos in some type of way. Obey their only authorityyyyy!!! (not)

There’s too many rules here and nothing is organized. Go to Buffalo Exchange on 26^th instead.

OK Goodwill. Pretty hit or miss, and haven’t found any very good selections. Tops selection for women is very limited compared to other Goodwills in the city. But, this place is worth a stop considering it’s in close proximity to other thrift stores in the neighborhood.

This goodwill is just OK.
I’ve been here a few times and the selection isn’t terrible for women. There’s a great selection of dresses But I agree with some other reviewers that a lot of items seem overpriced, especially the lower end pieces from brands like H&M, Target or GAP, etc. I’ve also found a bunch of these «overpriced» items have holes, rips or mysterious stains.
The main reason I give this place 3 stars instead of 4 is because some of the staff members are so fickle. All the cashiers and younger employees seem nice, but the security guard and an older lady are often rude. Neither of them have given me a problem yet but every time I’m in this store I see them give someone a hard time for no real reason. They are strict with their 3 items in the dressing room policy. Why 3 and not 6 makes no sense to me. If they find out you’re in there with 3+ items, be prepared for banging on the door and snippy language from a staff member.

Not bad — but not overly impressed either. It seems like the clothing was overpriced for what I normally buy at Goodwill.

Was screamed at by an employee and had my personal items thrown out the dressing room door because she thought I had more than three items with me. She was wrong, but still called me a pig.

I love thrift stores. I was really hoping to find a really good deal, but I was kinda disappointed. I was expecting great deals and a great selection, but the selection is very small (especially sizes, mostly 0 – 2 & XS-​M in women) and priced higher for the quality. I purchased two cardigans, and one shirt and the total price was $ 24.00. I’ve been to thrift stores that I would walk away with more clothes for less than $ 10.00. Although the prices are definitely not ideal, I wouldn’t just diss the store and say it was a completely negative experience. I liked what I got, and got a student discount. One thing I will complain about is the fact the I waited around 10 minutes to try on my said 3 items, and AS SOON as I got in, a woman (an employee of the store) with a throaty, foreign accent yelled at me to hurry up. Also, one of the cardigans I got had to be washed three times to get the really unpleasant, musty smell.
I put pricey but because in my experience, this shop is a little more pricey than most thrift stores I have come across.
In conclusion, if you have the money to spend and time to search through the store, you’ll like it. I also noticed the store had quite a few higher end brand clothing and shoes. Lots of heels if you’re looking!

Sticky ooze on items and a rude security guard.
Today, I picked up an item that had some sort of orange gunk on it, and got it on my hand. I went up to the staff to ask about using a bathroom or a sink to wash my hands. The security guard kind of dragged his heels, but said he’d see what he could do, so I followed him to the back.
The public restroom was «out of order», so he went into the employee restroom and got a dry towel. I told him I’d feel more comfortable actually washing my hands off, since I have no idea what this stuff is, and a dry paper towel won’t get it all off. He says «See that sign? Employees only.»
At this point, I’m getting seriously annoyed since:
a) It was because they failed to inspect and clean something that I now have a mystery substance on my hands, so it’s up to them to make that right.
b) The public restroom was out-​of-​order. Since you owe me a sink, where else is it gonna be?
I was pissed at him blocking the bathroom, and it was starting to escalate, but luckily another employee showed up with some purell. That’s still not as effective as real soap when it comes to infections, but whatever, it’s close enough.
In short, go here if you haven’t licked your daily subway pole and feel like being mistreated.

This was my go to donation shop when I lived in Chelsea. Every season, I bring several bags here and it is very easy to drop off and get a receipt. I occasionally browse around the store. And the store is clean, but why oh why are things organized by color!!! A giant rack of all black or red dresses isn’t that fun to rummage through, especially when the sizes are all mixed in together. Please consider organizing in small, medium or large. That would be a lot better.

I’m a fan. The prices are always so darn reasonable! And I’d have to say the place is pretty organized and clean for a typical Goodwill unlike the ones in Texas I’ve often frequented. The selection of clothing is significantly better as well. I can see why.
I went in with hopes of purchasing a bad ass coat of some sort but alas, failed at that mission. No worries, I walked out with a barely used BCBG max azria jacket instead. Win!

Maybe it’s because I just moved to the city, but good lord the prices here are high. It’s still a Goodwill for crying out loud. Store isn’t that big, but has a good selection of contemporary clothing. Tops are around $ 7-​$ 15, Jackets $ 20+, so you better dig out something spectacular, or might as well go to a regular store and buy something brand new.
I managed to find a necklace from Anthropologie for $ 4 and a copy of Water for Elephants for $ 2 though. Oh and 10% off for students, woohoo!

Love This Goodwill. I bought a pair of cole haan Nike air red hot stiletto heels which retailed at the time for $ 200+ for only $ 39 which is steep for a thrift store, but definitely still a bargain compared to retail. I believe they were a sample pair.
Also bought a beautiful brand new Monique Llhulier (sp?) white bridesmaid dress. I believe I paid $ 50 for it and was going to use it as my rehearsal dinner dress, but ended up selling it on eBay instead and it went for more than over twice that. Either way, great bargain!
Only complaint is that the security guard was creepy. Seemed to like watching me put on shoes.
