It is a pleasure to work with Matt at Eric Goodman Realty. Matt always keeps me in the loop of anything going on in the building and has always been available to answer my questions. It is clear that he always keeps tenants in the front of his mind when any issues come up.

I worked with Matt from Eric Goodman Realty and he was extremely helpful and most importantly flexible in n helping me find the right apartment. Highly recommend these guys.

This guy Matt is totally useless. I made an appointment with him to check out one of their apartments. Right from the get go he had a bit of an attitude and wasn’t very friendly. He seemed to be distracted the entire time I was viewing the apartment. I was a very uncomfortable experience. Despite his attitude, I was interested in putting in some paperwork and a deposit so I could to hold the place. I was going to go home, fill out the application and email all of my documentation to him. I wanted to do everything quickly so the place wouldn’t get taken. I did what I was supposed to do but I didn’t hear from him for two days.
When he did finally get in touch with me, he gave me some lame — I was out of town — excuse. Then he told me he didn’t think I would be able to get the apartment because the landlord blahblahblah. Waste of time and totally unprofessional. I’m clean cut, I have a great job, excellent credit and I’ve never had a problem renting a place. How could he possibly know what the landlord was going to say if he didn’t even submit my paperwork. He sucks and I’m pissed I wasted even 1 hour with him.

We worked with Matt Goodman to find us an apartment. We Had a great experience. The firm is very professional, friendly and understanding. I Definitely recommend using Goodman Eric Realty for your apartment search.

I worked with Matt from Eric Goodman Realty on my most recent apartment and found the group to be professional and courteous, guiding me through a lot of the process with smiles and patience. I also noticed that the apartments that I saw that they represented were definitely of a higher quality than many of the buildings I saw during my whirlwind tour. They listened to all of my needs and concerns and replied quickly. I would recommend them.

I took a job in NYC on a whim and needed a place to live that was a) near my work on the Upper East Side and b) decent. I was very particular about what I was looking for. I worked with Matt, Senior VP, who turned out to not only be one of the nicest people I’ve met in this town (we all know how impatient and crazy NYC real estate agents can be) but also was extremely loyal, and wouldn’t stop until he found me the right property at the right price. He worked with me day in and day out to look at apartments (sometimes I’d meet him on my lunch breaks– he was very flexible) and get all the necessary information together to apply for one, and, lo and behold, I got it. I couldn’t be happier. Eric Goodman Realty (Eric, by the way, the owner, is actually in the office– a wonderful man who is always willing to help if there is ever an issue) is comprised of agents who are down-​to-​earth, and take the time to listen and discuss with their clients what is most important to them, and try to accommodate their needs as best they can. I dealt with some other real estate agencies in NYC who charged a fortune of commission for their (less than standard) services, and didn’t seem to have the same values as me (they kept trying to bait me into paying more than my budgeted amount). What a waste of time that was. I found exactly what I was looking for with Eric Goodman Realty, and I can’t express enough my thanks and gratitude to their staff, Matt in particular, who worked so hard to get me exactly what I wanted. If you are looking for an apartment around the Upper East Side, trust the company that is located right in the area for quality work and effort, and rest assured that your needs will be met with the utmost sincerity and professionalism at Eric Goodman Realty.

I am fan of Eric Goodman realty. I like Eric and Lena is an absolute sweetheart.
My only complaint is that my rent went up just because the new people moving in the building don’t know how to negotiate theirs and somehow that reflected mine come lease renewal. That being said, I really can’t complain. I love Eric like he’s family.

In a city notorious for unprofessional and sneaky real estate brokers, Goodman Reality does nothing to distinguish itself from it’s peers.
I rented an apartment from these guys a few years ago, and I recently moved out. Getting repairs done to my apartment was always a chore, and when they finally were «completed» the quality was second rate.
I guess you get what you pay for.

I always suspect 5 star reviews of anything in New York, since most places these days seem to forget about being just plain nice as a way to get business. Also overly enthusiastic reviews I tend to suspect come from the businesses themselves. Well surprise!: this is it, the real deal. I always believe that everyone should know when businesses are good, not just when they are bad, so I am writing this review accordingly. My experience: nice, patient people who found me an apartment that I’m very, very happy in, especially considering the apartments I was shown by other brokers.(one cute little gem that had a toilet in the closet and a makeshift shower hooked up next to the sink in the kitchen, no lie). Minimal hassle applying and getting leases signed. FAST process. My broker was Lena
