I had heard of Gloria from Downtown Lunch and his compliments to Gloria were so good, I couldn’t walk by her cart without getting something good to eat. Which resulted… on a rainy day to be the Fiesta Nachos(love the name!). Honestly, BIG portions for the price and it was so happily enjoyed by my co-workers(who saw me with it and asked for some bites). Yes, it’s not as great as nachos were the cheese is melted all over the chips but Gloria is smart to put the cheese on the side(no soggy chips!) and the fresh guacamole was really good. The star of the nachos actually. All-in-all, if her food is this good, I wonder how amazing her burritos and fajitas are!

Gloria’s Mexican Food cart is a good deal if you’re looking for some quick/cheap/basic Mexican for lunch. The burrito«special» with beans(black or refried) and rice comes to $ 6.50.(They have beef, pork, chicken and veggie options.) Don’t get me wrong, it’s not close to something you’ll find in California or even some of the options in Queens, Sunset Park or Midtown on 10th Ave. for Mexican. But it’s satisfying with friendly service and a nice option to have in the Financial District.
