George Yang, M.D.

Dr. Yang and his staff were extremely nice. That being said, it turned out that he was pushing an expensive product on me that wouldn’t even have worked for the type of scars I have.
The whole consultation felt like a sale pitch for Bellafill, a permanent acne scar filler. I have boxcar acne scars and kept asking him if it would work on those types of scars. He promised me it would, but when I did more research later on, it says on the Bellafill website that it only works on rolling scars. It would have been more than $ 2000 wasted.
Originally, I went in for a consultation for scar subcision; not Bellafill. Consultation is not free. I wasted $ 150 on it. Dr. Rappaport offers a free in person and virtual consultation. I wish I had know Dr. Rappaport offered free virtual consultation before I went to Dr. Yang. If you are thinking about subcision, know that it only works on rolling scars. You can tell if you have rolling scars by stretching out the scar area with your fingers. If the scar looks like it has disappeared, you have rolling acne scars.

I went to Dr. Yang on referral and was delighted. I echo everything everyone prior to me has said. Dr. Yang has great attention to detail and does not desire to do an adequate job, his desire is to do an excellent job.
He is indeed kind as previous patients have written and he takes the time to explain not only what you are having done (I had filler on the upper and lower lids) but also the greater picture. He wants you to understand the mechanics behind the procedures. Very thorough indeed.
I would recommend Dr. Yang to anyone who asked me for a referral, just as someone did for me.

Dr. Yang is one of the kindest and most detail oriented doctors I’ve ever had. I saw him for upper eyelid fillers because I had some hollowing of the eyes after an eyelid surgery by another doctor. He was very honest and spent a lot of time explaining things to me. He is also very skilled and did an excellent job on my eyelid fillers and I am so happy with the results.
On top of that, his office assistant is so kind and very helpful with scheduling and providing directions to the office.
I would highly recommend Dr. Yang as a cosmetic surgeon because I think he is trustworthy, kind an compassionate, and highly skilled. I think he genuinely cares for his patients, to give them the best possible outcome.

Talented. Patient. Charismatic. Artistic. These are all the qualities that are essential for any plastic surgeon to have. I just had my consultation for a potential mole removal right under my eye and wow, I’m surprised Dr. Yang doesn’t have much Unilocal reviews because he is amazing! I haven’t had my procedure yet, but I think I can really trust him with my face.
I plan on getting my procedure in September and I will surely update this review!

I saw Dr. Yang recently for upper eyelid filler. I had been noticing sagging in one eye lid (upper) and a hollow look in the other eye-​lid.
Dr. Yang injected restalyne filler into both my upper eyelids and into the upper brow region. The procedure was relatively quick (although the consultation was quite long) and it was painless. I was amazed at the difference – which can be appreciated immediately. My eyelids have returned to what they were 15 years ago! The result is smooth and plump and very firm. Eyeshadow/​eye make up now glides on easily without the crepey/​loose skin look. Both eyes now are completely symmetrical.
I found Dr. Yang to be extremely meticulous. He takes multiple before and after pictures and ensures that your facial position is the same (no false lighting or position changes to enhance the «after» result). He also involves you in the decision making and feedback process. I found him to be honest, ethical and a very kind person in addition to an extremely skilled practitioner.

I must admit I have never written a review before but after my experience at Dr. Yangs office, I felt compelled to write a well deserved one.
After years of being self conscious about my unsymmetrical upper eye lids, I finally decided to do some research to resolve this issue. I came upon Dr. Yangs website and was impressed by his work and immediately called to schedule a consolation.
When I called the office a very, very helpful and pleasant woman by the name of Mae answered the phone and I told her the reason I was calling. She took the time to brief me on my future appointment and answer all my questions and then emailed my paper work in preparation to meet Dr. Yang.
The day of my appointment I walked into a clean, tiny lobby where Mae was at the front desk and warmly greeted me. She kept me company as we chatted a bit while I waited for Dr. Yang.
As Dr. Yang came out to meet me, he also welcomed me with the warmest smile and that was only an indication of how the rest of my experience was going to be. He took me into his room where he let me vent about all my insecurities relating to my eyes. How I have been embarrassed for years, how it effects my self esteem and that I have a mass collection of pictures only taken from my right profile in attempt to hide my facial flaws. He gave me an opportunity to talk and really listen and understand where I was coming from, why I was upset and my objective of this appointment. I also expressed to him how I have never had any «work» done before. I was really anxious, nervous and stated all my concerns.
I can say he completely alleviated all of them with his friendly and thorough consultation. Step by step he explained what the product was he would be using, how he would be doing the procedure, what to expect the following days to come and allowed me to see his portfolio of clients before and after photos. He took so much time with me it was a nice feeling because he genuinely cared.
The consultation ran over an hour. I don’t know if that is typical but we were having a good time talking and going over things, I didn’t mind at all. By the time Dr. Yang was done explaining everything I was pretty much begging him to finally do the procedure. I was incredibly surprised it didn’t hurt for a second. After every injection he would analyze my face. He was so meticulous and precise it was a very comforting feeling.
Just like that, I was out the front door to carry on with my day. I had a follow up appointment scheduled for the following week. After coming back and being thrilled with my results we decided to use the rest of the syringe for my bottom lip. I don’t think anyone could have done a better job. My eyes are basically identical now. I feel like a million bucks! When taking pictures I willingly and happily face the camera dead on! I don’t even care when I haven’t gotten any sleep because I wake up fully confident that I know, I look great now.
I fully intend to be a returning client of Dr. Yangs and would like to get my lips done more fuller in the near future. I couldn’t speak more highly of him and his little staff; not only on a professional level but also personal. The care, consideration and attentiveness all started on the phone and carried through my entire experience at this office. For anyone considering traveling from outside the Manhattan area I would absolutely advise coming here to see him. Money and time well spent!
