Dr. Gary Evans is an NYU graduate. He graduated from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 1983. Following extensive surgical training, he went into and remains in private practice. Dr. Evans specializes in all phases of Podiatry including: Podiatric Medicine, Corrective Foot Surgery, and Sports Medicine. He is board certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics, and is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

Dr Gary Evans himself is very pleasent and highly proffesional, his staff on the other hand is impatient and unprofessional. They never get back to you as they promise, you have to chase them and they respond to simple questions over the phone regarding pricing, etc. with «Sorry, we are too busy to check it».

Highly recommend Dr. Evans. He is a great Doctor with excellent bed side manner. He was able to help me. His office staff worked very hard to make sure I saw Dr. Evans at times that were convenient for me. Also, the employee that performs the PT is extremely nice and very helpful.

Dr Evans is a expert podiatrist and I cannot say enough about him to do him justice! I had 3 surgeries last year under his care — which had the potential to be MUCH more complicated and painful than they were — and I could NOT have been in better hands. He extended himself and was completely accessible for any discomfort, pain or just to answer questions. He is the epitome of professionalism; his bedside manner is outstanding; very informative and willing to review all data and options with the patient for a mutually agreed upon, yet beneficial, decision; not to mention his lovely staff… these ladies are extraordinary: pleasant, efficient and display fantastic customer service to every client that walks in that office
I had need of x-​rays done on my feet by another podiatrist. He was overwhelmingly impressed with the results of the work done by Dr Evans. When I told him who had done the work, he immediately showed a high level of respect and identified Dr Evans as one of the best in the city!

Great Podiatrist!!! I live over an hour from NYC so I can’t always get to him right away. After dealing with other Doctors with a foot injury that can’t be solved going to Dr. Evans always correctly diagnoses the injury and then fixes it.

I thought Dr. Evans was a good guy but he’s misdiagnosed me TWICE with athlete’s foot when it was clearly something else. He would of course have known this had he done an actual foot scraping or microscope test but nope, he just looks with his eyes and takes guesses. You know who else can do that? Me and google search. Needless to say I wasted time and money on all those stupid creams that did nothing when in fact the answer was a cheap bottle of vaseline in my medicine cabinet. Needless to say, I won’t be coming back here because as much as a nice guy he is, I need solutions to my problems. I don’t pay him money to have a friendly chat so he could prescribe me more expensive creams and lotions that don’t do anything.

I didn’t see the doctor, but this office sells BioFreeze which is a little hard to find in the city! You don’t need to be a patient, but call ahead to be put on the visitor list for security.

After about a month of heel pain, I began looking online for podiatrist reviews. Unfortunately, many doctors seemed to have pretty poor reviews. Dr. Evans had the best reviews on Unilocal,ZocDoc, and some other sites. I just saw him this morning, and he was very nice and helpful. He was very thorough, answering all of my questions, showing and explaining my x-​rays to me, and suggesting a course of action. Since I just went this morning, I can’t say for sure whether my heel pain will be cured, but I am very optimistic! His staff was also very friendly and helpful.

Great doctor! A colleague recommended Dr. Evans after I complained about a weird sensation in my tendon. I was able to get an appointment the same week and walked out knowing what was going on and how to take care of it.
Dr. Evans was very thorough and knowledgeable, willing to listen and give advice. He’s great at explaining medical problems in a way that you understand, but without being condescending. A very friendly and easy to talk to professional, Dr. Evans is someone I’d definitely recommend to anyone who asks.

Holy cow, Dr. Evans cured me! Last year at this time I had to hop on one foot to his office because my plantar fasciitis was so painful. I honestly thought I’d never run again. But through a program of taping, stretching, a single painful but effective cortisone shot, and orthotics, I’m now totally healed and running with no problem. Not only is he a skilled practitioner, Dr. Evans is patient, kind, and great at explaining problems. I recommend him without reservation.

I probably could’ve saved some money on my out of pocket purchase of the orthotics elsewhere. I chose to purchase them from Dr. Evans instead because I believe he would ensure they would be the perfect fit for my feet.

I loved Dr Evan’s, he is very gentle when he exams your feet, he is also very attentive when you’re telling him what hurts. I had a construction related injury due to excess pressure on one foot, he took care of the problem by creating custom made insoles. The only reason that I removed one star was because his office is in a very secure building and on various occasions I wasn’t placed on a list of patients they expected in that day. So, you have to wait until they confirm that you have an appointment before they let you upstairs which in turn made me late for my appointment. Other than that Dr. Evans and his staff are great. One more thing, bring exact change if you’re paying with cash, they don’t always have change.

I recently injured my Posterior Tibial Tendon and was referred to Dr. Evans by a coworker. Dr. Evans is absolutely wonderful. He is nice, caring and he takes the time to explain everything to you about what is going on with your situation. He will do anything to avoid surgery (which seems to be a favorite course of action among all doctors) as he feels that in the end it really is a last resort. His staff is very friendly as well and when dealing with disability and workmen’s comp are very patient! He’s the best!
