Good banana location for the city. Isn’t ever HORRIBLY busy, but always a buzz of people. Staff is hit or miss. Clothing selection is decent, but I usually can find a lot of things at other locations that aren’t at this one, which I always found annoying. But otherwise, great location relative to the other around.

It’s wierd. This is the closest big name clothing store to me yet I’ve rarely bought anything in this store. Maybe the last was a gift certificate???

decent Banana location (nothing special). friendly, helpful staff (they don’t make a fuss of having to go into their stock room if you need a size that’s not on the floor).
i would NOT, however, recommend using their on-​location tailor service. yeah, it was nice to pay only $ 10/​pair to get my new work pants hemmed, and convenient to not have to make an extra stop at my regular tailor, but it was not nice to get my pants back and find that they were definitely shorter than the saleslady measured. i didn’t make a fuss, as they were still wearable, but for an $ 80 pair of pants, not cool.

I really like this location. It is laid out really well, they have a huge selection. The racks are neat and there is plenty of sales staff to take your clothes and set up a dressing room for you. The bathrooms are also reasonably clean.

This is my favorite Banana Republic in the entire city. In fact, besides going to the the one on near Lincoln Center perhaps once or twice, this is the only B.R. store I go to, NYC or otherwise.
I go in with the full knowledge that I may leave the store content in my purchase, yet crying because $ 150 has just left my bank account from the mere purchase of a shirt and a skirt.
With mens’ on the ground floor and ladies’ on the top, the second floor boasts all things shiny and chic. It is well-​maintained and clothing displays are rarely messy or «looked through». Personnel are harder to find on the floors, I’ve found, but they are there and friendly if you need them. The dressing attendants are also helpful at getting your right size or giving an opinion on an item you are trying on if you are shopping solo.
I may have to put up a little bit of cash when I go here, but sometimes, you need to be a classy lady in the work place, and a few well-​chosen B.R. pieces sure make a lady look fine! I’d rather pay a little more for quality products, indeed.

We were looking at men’s suits, and received fantastic advice on what would fit best, which is difficult for slim guys considering read-​to-​wear.
The size and model combo weren’t available, so it was nice not to be pushed into buying something we didn’t want.

Nice clothes, but way too expensive and nothing is ever really on sale. Not really affordable if you are on a budget. If you don’t mind getting your eyes ripped out of your head when you get the bill then go here. Better off going to Macy’s when a good sale is on.

How can I be the first person to review a Banana Republic? I’m guessing that as soon as the nearby Shake Shack opens, everyone will discover it.
It’s not significantly different than any other BR, perhaps a bit bigger. My husband and I went b/​c he had some coupon. I left him to roam in men’s downstairs, while I went upstairs.
The jewelry is nice and there’s a lot of it. I’m sure it will seem original until you run into someone else wearing the same piece. No one spoke to me while I was there. I got several versions of the tight smile that comes from salespeople who know there’s nothing over a size 12, so why bother actually speaking?
My husband, of course, was being treated like a prince. The men’s department is well laid-​out, and there’s a shoe section in an alcove in the middle. Bathrooms are hidden in the back, just before the elevator.
Salespeople are very attentive, Miguel in particular. He ran off to get different sizes and explain various cuts. He got my husband free shipping on a shirt they didn’t have in stock. And the whole store was 30% off. I recommend waiting for one of these sales, which happen regularly.
There are some higher-​end women’s pieces in the men’s department, either for cross-​dressers or for wives/​girlfriends who are hanging around to help their significant others. Maybe I’ll start shopping down there; I was certainly treated better.

I can honestly say that there is one individual at this location that makes the customer service from good to great. I shop there every Thursday after one of my appointments and I must say that there is a big difference on how I feel about my experience when she is there. Her name is Miss Kelly. She takes the time to tell me about sales or assist in outfit making. But the difference between her and Suzie Q sales associate is that she is truly about making the customer feel good about her selections. She just doesn’t try to pile onto your purchase. If she doesn’t like the way something looks, she will offer other suggestions without even having to say so… and she will even bring them to you! Her smile and good nature makes it such a pleasure. I look forward to shopping on one of her working shifts. So, thank you Miss Kelly. It shows that you still have a passion for what you do… even after 15 years.
