Funico Studios

We recently were married this past June and had a fabulous experience with Funico Studios! Alice’s communication was great and our photographer Jimmy was beyond amazing. He was able to manage to take quite a few amazing shots as a single photographer. He was very easy going, accommodating, and had tons of energy to take some great shots the entire day/​night! Couldn’t have been happier! Thanks to Funico and especially to Jimmy!!!

When I was interviewing photographers for my wedding, I knew immediately that Funico Studios was the best choice. Alice was the first person I spoke to and once I told her what I was looking for and what ideas I had, her vision matched exactly with mine, especially with her and her husband’s past experiences. When working with Alice, I felt she genuinely wanted the best possible outcome for my wedding day and put a lot of effort into ensuring it happened. As the wedding approached, I got to work more with her husband, James, who was really able to complete everything and add some really fun, creative ways to approach everything that day which I never would have thought to do! They were both extremely accommodating throughout the entire process and on the day of the wedding they were both very nice people to be around. They were never «in the way» of family and guests to enjoy our special day, yet always there to capture the moments. My husband and I also hired their videographers who were also really great! When Alice sent me a demo of their prior work, I fell in love with what they would be capable of doing for us! I highly recommend Alice and James and will be recommending as well to our friends and family for future occasions.

Friendly, responsive, extremely talented, not intrusive, down to earth… We met Alice first who could not be more welcoming and sweet. You can tell she really cares what you are looking for and want to work with you. I must admit when I was looking at the website and the albums in person I figured there was no way we would be able to afford them because these photos were in all honesty artwork. They are flexible and willing to work with you not against. The day of the wedding James and his assistant we early to set up which was so amazing, way less stressful for me! James was fantastic with everyone from the flower girl to the crazy groomsmen. He really wants to let you enjoy your day and pulls you away minimally. You will NOT be disappointed if you go with Funico, they are so responsive to emails and calls, flexible, and create awesome quality photos that you will love forever.

Funico Studios was one of the Photographers our venue had recommended to us.
My mom made an appointment and went and met with Alice, the wife of this husband and wife team. Alice has a warm and friendly personality. She talked about their experiences photographing at Snug Harbor, our wedding venue site. She showed us many samples of books, pictures and canvases her and her husband James shot over the years. They had beautiful work. We met with a few others online thru other friends and family recommendations but I already knew I had made my choice. We made it official and signed with Funico. I couldn’t have been happier.
My husband Joe and I had a very small intimate wedding with around 70 guests in early September. Given the small guest list, everyone stood out and we were able to get great shots of almost everyone. We were married outdoors on probably the most humid day of the summer. It was extremely hot. Poor James literally sweat thru his shirt! But that didn’t stop him; he was everywhere, snapping away.
James took a nice assortment of formal and candid shots. We were married and had our reception outdoors in Sung Harbor, so we had a lot of natural botanical backgrounds. Funico told me they knew the Snug Harbor facility well and they were true to their word. James knew all of the best areas to photograph on the premises.
About six weeks after the wedding, we were able to view all of our photos online. We just finished choosing our favorite shots for our Wedding photo books. I cant wait to see the final products and actually hold the final products.
Couldn’t have been happier with Funico Studios. Amongst all the chaos of that day with other vendors, I had zero to think about or worry about with my choice in Photographers. Total professionals! From the planning they did with me to day of execution I left it all in their hands and I couldn’t have been happier.

We absolutely LOVED working with James and Alice this past May for our wedding. They saw the exact vision we had wanted in our photos. The photography was incredible, and they really knew how to position everyone in the perfect spots to make the most beautiful photos.
In addition, Alice and James were such a pleasure to work with. They were very warm and welcoming to our ideas, and worked very hard in understanding exactly what type of photos we wanted before our wedding day. They were also very good at responding to our phone calls, emails, etc., without making us feel like we were a bother.
On the day of our wedding we couldn’t have asked for more patient or talented photographers. Alice and James have such an eye for photography, and while it felt like they weren’t there, they captured some amazing shots! My husband and I highly recommend Funico studios! Thank you Alice and James :)

Alice and James photographed our special day. They went out of their way to accommodate everything that we wanted, including all the locations to take photographs, even if it meant that Alice needed to drive to Brooklyn the night before and park the car there to arrange for transportation after the event. They beyond anything we could ever ask for. Highly recommend Alice and James to make your event personal and very special.
