I’ve now taken several old prints here for framing and have been very pleased with the results. The guys here give you lots of helpful input on design, steering you away from the wrong frames or matting colors. Custom framing is famously expensive, but FO9 is comparatively reasonable, and definitely less pricey than Lee’s Art Shop. Timeframes are also shorter – I’ve gotten most of my orders back within a week. They are generous with the hanging hardware as well, which is great for me since I can’t ever seem to hang my pictures right the first time.

These guys are really helpful and very friendly. Nice to see a family business doing so well. I brought in two photos to get matted for large frames i already owned. They gave me a fair price and when i went to pick them up, they had done «little extras» of cleaning my frames, screwing on a wire to use to hang it, and reinforcing the back of the store-​bought frame. They didn’t have to, but it was very thoughtful and worthy of 5 stars in my book.

I’ve had several things framed here — a series of three prints, a newspaper cutout, and three other numbered prints. Selection has been wide, assistance was always friendly and directed based on how much I wanted to spend, and turnaround has been fast. They even delivered.

Wow, very impressed by this place.
I was looking for a shop to frame the photo booth prints/​wedding program from my best friend’s wedding. Obviously a weird shape that would require custom framing. I decided on Framing on 9th because of the great Unilocal reviews and was very pleased with my choice.
Most importantly, I was able to consult with Mike initially to figure out the exact layout, look, frame, and matte I wanted. He has a great aesthetic-​style, and I appreciated his input.
He initially quoted me a price that included custom matte cut-​outs to frame the photos and program. However, the quoted price was out of my budget, so we decided to just lay the photos on top of the matte. It didn’t look as good, but I was satisfied, especially with half the cost.
To my absolute surprise and wonderment when I came to pick up the finished product, I found that Mike went ahead and gave me the custom matte cut-​out finish. And he did not charge me any extra cost! So incredibly generous, and the framing was superb!
I will definitely come again.

These guys did an excellent job framing my college diplomas! They glued and sealed them perfectly in the frame and even made a custom border for one that was a little small for the frame. They are very professional and took very good care of my diplomas and the frames. Would recommend anyone to go here!

Prompt service, did a great job, and when I noticed they had forgotten to put a hanging wire on my piece, they were apologetic and turned it around within 24 hours. Would definitely recommend and use their services again.

I don’t have much to add beyond what’s already been said. I moved out to Brooklyn a couple of months ago and had some work done at a frame shop out there. They were both slower and more expensive. These guys got my prints framed in a week and were much cheaper. The guys in the shop are knowledgeable but not pushy. Highly recommended.

Mike framed our ketubah from our wedding. He did a great job. Not just with the framing but he was a huge help picking what frame would go best and with what matting. He did it for a good price, even though I just noticed I could have gotten an extra $ 15 off. But it’s ok he gave us better quality glass for no extra charge. Would definitely recommend.

I chose Faming on 9th after doing a wealth of research on framing businesses in my neighborhood and I could not be more thrilled with my choice.
Mike was so friendly and knowledgable. He listened to what I wanted, offered helpful suggestions, and made great recommendations on how to best showcase the artwork that I brought in to have framed.
The work was done quickly and for the price I am thrilled with the quality. Both pieces are already hanging up in my apartment. I plan on only having my work done here from now on and I’ve already been recommending them to friends.

This place is fantastic! Incredibly helpful staff, professional care and quality. I went to Framing on 9th on the recommendation of a friend. There were five pieces that had been sitting around the apartment and it was time to do something about it.

I placed two orders for photos to be printed, mounted and framed for our office, and Mike was extremely helpful. The turnaround was really fast (much faster than other framing stores in NYC) and the frames turned out exactly how I wanted them — without me even having to go to the store.

My favorite framers! I brought a very expensive and very large (60″ x 44″) print here and Mike was great! He has a great eye and helped me choose a beautiful frame that complimented my print. He advised me not to use matting on this style and he was right. He was fast, pricing was very competitive and then he even delivered it to my apartment free of charge.
It looked so gorgeous hanging in my dining room, I brought 3 smaller pieces to him 2 weeks later and again he did not disappoint. This time he used matting and helped to advise the perfect size for the frames so that the tryptic really sings! The prints look way more expensive than they really are.

Mike and Latif know frames. I ordered the MTA Art prints from the MTA museum and Framing on 9th did an incredibly amazing job framing them. Super friendly, amazing service, the BEST prices compared to everywhere else. Don’t go anywhere else. I live in Forest Hills Queens and still go here for my framing. I added some pix above!

Another satisfied customer! Louis was able to print 2 very large photos and create custom mattes for 2 existing frames that I had purchased at Pottery Barn. Best of all, he had them ready for me in 24 hours. I paid $ 108 for all services. They also have some great stuff already framed and matted for sale. I will definitely be back next time I need framing and matting!
