Four Points by Sheraton Manhattan Chelsea

Quite frankly the best experience we’ve ever had at a hotel!
We were so impressed with the entire staff at this hotel. They went way above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Little things like coming up personally to help us figure out the room safe and helping us set our temperature. Can’t thank them enough!
The room is a great deal for the price, and the location is amazing. Glad I cashed in my SPG points for this experience!

Not only did they upgrade us without asking, I had to go to the emergency room and they helped me get there and when we got home had a beautiful hors d’oeuvres surprise waiting in our room wishing me good health. location is great
The staff is great!

One of the cheapest rooms you’ll find in lower Manhattan. They have good service but nothing exceptional. The walk to the ½/​3 trains (the ones that come most often) are a 3 block walk. It’s pretty close to time square (around 2 stops on the subway).

rooms were small, clean and efficient. the bed was super comfy, amentities adequate, sounds and smells minimal. bar was lively though as the saturday night we were in town for our buddys birthday was trumped by a couple bachelor and a few bachelorette parties

Staff is very nice. Lao did a great job with our bags. But very disappointed that they put us in a room with only a shower (no tub) without telling us — ¾ bath. That shower also had hair in it when we walked in and the shower floor is discolored/​yellow. Probably not staying here again.

I arrived late to the hotel as a family member was in the hospital so I was just going to sleep and shower. I was warmly greeted and upon request given an upgraded room since I was a platinum SPG member. Really exhausted I got on the elevator and went up to the 17^th floor. Keys didn’t work to get in the door. I called down to the front desk they immediately sent someone up with new keys. I walked into the room and was hit with a damp mildew smell. Figured once I turned on AC the musty smell would go away. After a bit I Called down, they were very apologetic and offered me a new room, which stupidly I didn’t take as I was exhausted. Very stupid as the room got hotter and moldier smelling as the night went on interrupting badly needed sleep. The night staff was very nice about everything.
In the morning I called down and spoke to a woman not as nice regarding my situation. I explained I haven’t had an asthma attack in 6 months, always carry an inhaler and had to use it twice during the night. I was feeling very ill. I was advised with attitude they would look into the problem when I check out as they were not given the opportunity to investigate yet. So on departure I was really upset and told them I wanted a refund. I also advised them I had disgusting pictures of the AC unit which looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. Mold and dust both present on the unit. Again was told they needed to look into it. I requested a call after they evaluated the situation. I received a call later in the day with an apology and they confirmed that the AC was not cleaned and were shocked at the condition of the unit and that the unit was so clogged they were amazed it blew any air. I was surprised they even admitted to it. I was told I was being refunded and was assured this would not happen to another guest. SOMEONE WAS NOT DOING THEIR JOB regarding maintenance. Someone should be inspecting these rooms regularly. Ten hours later and my breathing is still compromised. Would never stay here again. I should have gone back to Four points Sheraton Times Square, great experience there. Was a little further so I opted to reserve here.

Great! We booked last minute, as the hotel we had been staying at was gross and we needed to switch ASAP. The staff was super friendly, gave good directions and tips to what to check out in the neighborhood. Our room was clean, modern and quite comfortable. Complementary breakfast in the attached restaurant was pretty good — I’ve had better food, but for it being included in the price, I’m not complaining at all. The neighborhood felt pretty safe and the location was fairly convenient — while we did need to take the subway/​taxis up to the Times Square/​Central Park areas, there was plenty to explore in Chelsea.

Our room was clean and small– no different than most hotel rooms in NYC. Bathroom was clean. While there, our toilet overflowed. Staff apologized profusely, and cleaned everything, fixed toilet, and gave me extra Starwood points for our trouble. I didn’t want to move rooms because we were staying right next to my sister’s room, but I’m sure they would have moved us if I’d wanted to move. It’s not a fancy hotel, but the location is good, and the entire staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I’ve probably never stayed in a hotel with a more helpful and friendly staff. Such a good price for this hotel, too. Not nearly as expensive as most of the hotels in NYC at the same level. If stay here again and again. I really can’t say enough about the staff– they made us feel like we were at home– welcoming us back at the end of the day, and telling us to have a great, fun day when we’d head out in the morning. Had my two boys and niece with us. Great hotel for the kids.

I’ve stayed here a couple of times for work and it’s just great. The location is wonderful (Chelsea is just a great place to be) and the staff are so so welcoming and friendly.

I stayed here for three nights while taking a road trip from Boston to New York City. The wife and I just wanted a place to rest and get ready in the morning. Since we didn’t have much time to do any exploring, there was complimentary internet in the lobby and room service available at a discounted rate. The restaurant on site was a tad expensive, but the staff were knowledgable and guided us to a few decent restaurants in town. I would most likely not stay again, as it was too far from the attractions, like Times Square or Canal street, but luckily we drove and parking was free.

Small. Good location. Below average service especially since we are starwoods gold members. We requested early check in and arrived to a room that wasn’t ready. The desk said they’d call when the room was ready and never did.

My husband and I stayed here last weekend with another couple. It was his first trip to NYC and the staff made him feel comfortable and welcomed in the big city. The front desk staff were engaging and readily provided directions when we needed them, greeted us warmly as we left for our day of sight seeing and also in the evenings when we returned, and they stored our luggage after check out until we caught our train home. The room was very clean and housekeeping responded quickly to our request for more towels. The location was convenient to Penn Station and other attractions in midtown and Chelsea. We would definitely stay here again.

This was the second Four Points I have stayed in, in NYC and this one was by far better. I was still upset that they did not have a mini fridge I could not bring food back and keep it over night. The staff was friendly and the location was wonderful, we were in a short distance to some nice parks and the Highline. The room service was decent and it wasn’t super over priced, only thing is I wish there would of been more options for desserts. The view from my room was decent as well, was able to take some good photos.

Great location! Walking distance from Madison Square. Good customer service. Nice room.

We stayed here during our visit to NYC in February… during the record cold streak. We chose the Chelsea neighborhood as it was conveniently located to most of what we wanted to do on our visit. The rooms were small, but comfortable, the staff was great and luckily we controlled our own heat, so the room was kept at a comfortable temperature for us since it was so cold outside… and we live in the desert! Overall, a convenient location and a good value for NYC!

I would give this place a solid 3.5 stars. I stayed here on a work trip last fall. The location is ideal. It’s near Times Square, and it’s easy to grab a cab from any of the streets nearby. There’s a few coffee shops within walking distance, a pizza place on the corner, and a grocery store a block or 2 away. There’s also an outdoor bar right outside the lobby.
The bed was super comfy, wifi was fast, and the room was very clean and modern. I shared a room with my coworker and with 2 beds, the room is a little cramped, but it’s New York City so what do you expect?
The one thing I didn’t like was all the noise you can hear from outside. I could hear sirens and people shouting all night so it was hard to sleep.

Arguably the best value in Manhattan.
I spent 5 nights here with my girlfriend over x-​mas and we both left saying how much the hotel contributed to the overall trip.
Here are the reasons I highly recommend this hotel:
First off, the location is as good as it gets. You can walk everywhere; midtown, west village, east village, flatiron, etc. And if you don’t feel like walking, you can grab the subway 1 block away. It is also close to Penn Station for trips to/​from JFK.
Second, the price is right. When other hotels were charging $ 500+, rooms here were $ 200 – 300. And this was over Christmas, one of the busier times of the year.
Finally, the attitude of the staff. Every time we walked in/​out of the lobby, the staff greeted us, gave us coffee/​water, and asked if there was anything they could do for us. It all starts from the top with their General Manager Lee. He is friendly and professional. As evidenced by his responses to reviews here and on other travel websites, he is on top of it.
Thanks to Lee and all the staff for helping me win major points with my GF on her first trip to NY.

I stayed here for a weekend with a friend last spring, and I have to say that it was a refreshing change from the other hotel I had been staying at for work earlier in the week.
Good location, near Times Square and easy to catch a cab around the corner. Service was very friendly, and even though the rooms are small (they ALL are in that area), it was nicely decorated, beds was comfy and bathroom was nice.
I would definitely recommend staying there if you want something in that area.

Doesn’t meet expectations. Room felt dirty. The sofa and carpet were stained and in bad conditions. The bathroom didn’t have space to put one’s toiletries. Internet was impossibly slow. The printer of the «business center» was broken. The breakfast was shameful. No mini bar in room, and the so called vending machine only had a few sodas.

We were blown away by our stay at Four Points Chelsea! The Hotel was beautiful, well kept and super cozy. Service was spot on! We were very appreciative of the flexibly check in and check out. Saved our lives! Staff were friendly and professional. We got a refrigerator upon request and were even able to borrow an umbrella when we needed it the most.
The only negative I would note, is the expensive breakfast at the restaurant… $ 18 for sausage and eggs was steep — but hey, you pay for the convenience!
