Foot Locker

Two weeks ago I ordered a pair of New Balances that weren’t in stock at this store. Procedure goes, place the order, pay in-​person and have them delivered to the store or your house (and for free if you join their email list. Why not? That’s what junk emails are for.)
I pay $ 40, get tracking info, and two days later it’s in transit. Great! Except four days later it’s still in transit. Two weeks later? Still in transit (read: stolen). I returned to re-​order my shoes. Why? Because it’s a good deal, I received quality customer service, and it’s not Foot Locker’s fault that my shoes were stolen.
Despite the inconvenience and frustrations, I can’t blame Foot Locker. All staff was helpful and knowledgeable. They have killer selection of kicks and I’ll probably be back.

I am very upset with the service in this shop, I spent there 45 minutes trying to get the seller attention… but nothing… then I called him and he looks like very bored and with no lack to go downstairs and bring me two pairs of shoes. He basically throw my shoes in the air… was is that. really…not anymore

Jelissa the cashier was very nice. That Erica person was rude and on edge and had a terrible attitude. She should not be in any type of customer service business. She might as well should have snapped her fingers or clapped her hands while she spoke to me. Ghetto.

The employees at this location are the saddest excuse for customer service people I have ever seen. I just went in here a few minutes ago to pick up an online order and it was a nightmare. I get to the check out desk and Whitney (?), who was working with a customer before me finishes with the customer and sees me and walks right out from behind the desk like she didn’t even care that I was there and goes back on the floor to LITERALLY start texting on her phone. Then, the other piece of work who was left behind the desk to help, Britton, looks at me with disdain like my mere presence was inconveniencing him. A total jerk. I say I’m there to pick up an online order, he ignores me, until some other nice girl takes over and goes and gets my belongings. Then, as I’m waiting for the girl to come back with my box, the two winners Britton and Whitney start talking across the desk in front of customers about how they hate each other. LOL… are you friggin KIDDING me? Also, my boyfriend asked to try something on, and another associate acted like it was a huge chore from him to take my BF back to the fitting room. These people are PATHETIC; the worst excuse for employees I can imagine. I was appalled at how little they care about their jobs. Look, I get it, you hate that you have to take the train in from Bed/​Stuy for $ 11/​hr but this is your job. I will never be going to that location again. SUCH. JERKS.

Upon entering it seemed they had a nice variety of shoes… However buying any was not an option. There were plenty of employees there to assist however we were being slightly unreasonable requesting shoe sizes and prices and (gasp) to even try some on. One of the shoes we wanted didn’t have a price tag and so stupidly we asked how much they were and the employee said «look at the price tag» to which we replied «it’s not on there» and he responded by saying «then I don’t know». We then asked to go ahead and try them on and he brought out the wrong shoe and walked away and we never saw him again. I hated all the inconvenience we caused … I hope he was able to spend the rest of his shift free of customer requests and able to chat with his friends …

Good location in Union Square, not bad selection of shoes for men, women & kids. However, not enough seating for people to try on shoes, & they don’t have many of the sizes. They found a 4.5 for my son in the yellow suede Pumas that he fell in love with, but unfortunately when they pulled the box, only 1 sneaker was in it & they couldn’t find the other one. They did order them from another store & shipped them to my house at no extra charge. They arrived in 2 business days (way faster than the 5 bus days they quoted) & my son LOVES THEM!

I have been there twice now and both time l had bad costumer service. I wanted to try different shoes, but nobody helped me. I had to wait so long, before some worker slowly walked there and asked what do l want. No smiles or asking how the shoes are fitting. When l wanted to try another pair, l had to wait again, because he went away. Workers showed no interest to the customers and l wasnt the only one who felt that way. Im giving 2 stars only because l finally got what l wanted. I havent seen so bad service in others Foot Lockers!

Tried calling Footlocker today to query them on their online guarantee. Their telephone system is as dysfunctional as their Customer Service! What a #fail company… and their return policy (which is a lie), remains the unchanged online. I’ll be keeping neighbors shopping in Union Square updated on how my complaint to the NY BBB plays out.

With the amount of visitors to the Herald Square area, good deals on sneakers at Foot Locker (FL) won’t last long. Inventory tends to be depleted in a very short period of time. The same applies to main store on 34^th and 6^th, the new FL on 34^th and 5^th, and the store inside the Manhattan Mall. The latter two stores are quite lacking in selection to begin with.
Located on the corner of 14^th and 6^th, this FL carries a majority of shoes you would see at any of the three stores in the Herald Square area. Located a few blocks removed from the glut of shoe stores near the Union Square area (including DSW, Shoemania, and Run by Foot Locker), there are definitely less visitors willing to walk two avenue blocks west. As a result, there is a higher chance you will score a pair of shoes in your size here that are not available in the aforementioned FL stores.
A pair of the red Nike Air Presto shoes on sale caught my eye at the 34^th and 6^th location. Unfortunately the sale had already gone on for a few weeks, and they did not have my size. After visits to several neighboring FL stores and the FL website, I was ready to give up hope. At the end, I decided to make one last visit to this location, and the extra effort paid off! Not only did they have my size, the sales rep said they had several more stock.
So the next time you want a new pair of kicks, keep this location in mind should the main FL stores run out of your size. Who knows? You might get lucky like I did.
