This spot has some old school vibes and amazing food and drink. Their cocktails are strong and they were nice about us splitting up payment when it was crowded. Clearly a well run spot. If you want a quiet place to socially network, go to wework or the library. This is a fun bar. Good service tops it off.

The only reason I’m giving this place 4 out of 5 stars is because of the service. We hardly saw our waiter, and when we did he was unfriendly and impatient. Other than that, the food is delicious and enough reason to make me come back. My group and I shared the hurricane wings(best wings everrrr) and the giant pretzel. I also had the turkey burger which was delicious as well. Definitely give this place a try if you’re looking for some upscale bar food, it won’t disappoint!

Fine food. Rude service across the board. The bartender and our server were openly hostile right away. The bartender literally threw the check at us. A sad waste of an otherwise cool location.

I don’t usually write reviews for bars but… THATPRETZEL. get it! Yes, it is the size of your face. The cheese sauce they serve with it is amazingggggg. Bartenders were friendly and fun to my picky girlfriend and myself. Selection of beers on draught are fun and interesting.

This place rocks! In a low key way, until it rocks all night non stop. Depending what time you get here you will see two sides of Flatiron Hall. During the day it feels like a musty barn full of heritage burned into the wooden décor. It’s quiet inside with subtle light, allowing a great hidden place to grab drinks with friends during lunches or brunch time. But around 4pm, people start pouring in. And it gets packed. Not horrible, but close enough that you’ll have to shoulder to shoulder your way to the bathroom. It’s a fun lively place that allows you to not take yourself too seriously, while the mixologist takes their job very seriously fusing drink types and suggestions into something incredibly satisfying. Add their bites of pastrami egg rolls, Crunchy fried crispy hashbrown like tots, or a warm soft salt crusted pretzel and your night has just begun.

The brats & sauerkraut and the tater tots with bacon(baked into the tot!!) were super tasty! Our food took a little while to come out, but when we found out it was because my friend mentioned that she was allergic to shellfish, and rather than risk it even though there wasn’t really any shellfish on the menu, they sanitized a whole area to prep her food, all was good!

Tikka Masala Dumplings.(Drops Mic). A bit loud downstairs. Good for groups. One open table downstairs around 7:00 p.m. on a Tuesday with a 45 minute wait upstairs.

Aside from how loud it was(what can I expect from a gastropub /bar scene), it was great. Mostly took away a star because it’s difficult to catch up and talk to people you’re with when it’s so loud! Overall, it was clean inside, and the waitresses were very attentive. The appetizers were all great and unique, and they had a decent selection of beers. I would say that based on the apps alone, I’d try some entrees next time! The apps were uniquely made, even if they were generic sounding. Must try the giant pretzel, and the kobe beef sliders :)

Great spot with tons of space. Especially spacious downstairs with large mess hall sized tables to share. Cocktails are delicious and great craft beers on tap with old fashioned label-less tap handles. As an added bonus, I left my bag there and it contained some valuable items– they hunted me down somehow and called my work to make sure the bag found its home.

I might actually like this place if it weren’t for the crowd. On a Friday night, Flatiron Hall is bro central and was nearly intolerable. The décor definitely catered to the crowd with lots of wood paneling, a slightly speakeasy vibe, and a smattering of Halloween decorations. The bartenders are of course dressed like 1920’s newpapermen but felt a little like the B squad and weren’t very friendly. The beer menu was decent with a few good craft beers, but not super extensive. It might be a good place to hang out on a quiet day, but at night, be prepared for drunk dudes to spill beer on you, trip over you while«dancing», or try to steal your chair.

This bar is alright. Always SO packed and really difficult to get a drink, always pushed around. Food is pretty good. The upstairs is right– restaurant and bar and you can only sit if you plan on eating. Downstairs is a huge beer hall– lots of long tables for big groups. If you do plan on going here, j would suggest going early so you can grab a table.

I grabbed some drinks after work here on a Wednesday at Flatiron Hall and all the prime real estate was already taken by 5:15 pm. My coworkers and I had hoped to grab drinks at the downstairs bar, but it was closed for a private party. The upstairs bar is spacious, but gets packed quickly. There were several other offices there with the same idea we had! The service was quick and friendly considering the crowd. While I did enjoy the large pretzel we ordered, I did not enjoy my pilsner. It tasted as if the beer line wasn’t cleaned and I tasted some funkiness. No one else had issues with their beers. While I wasn’t a fan of the crowds, it does attest to the popularity of this place. I’ll probably come back with my coworker, but will likely steer clear of the pilsner.

A couple of us came in here for a nightcap and enjoyed our short time here. The bartender was really nice and helped our group find just the right drink. The ambiance is pretty cool as well for a tavern and they have flat irons all over the place(hence the name) which gave it a pretty cool industrial feel. While I can’t talk about the food as we only had drinks, I did see the menu and it seemed to cover the entire American genre of food. I will definitely try it next time I come in. Definitely a good place to grab a drink…

Ate here for the first time — the Flatiron Burger deluxe was a deliciously juicy and aromatic wonder, with bacon and garlic aioli, and I added mushrooms to top it off. For a $ 20 burger, it was good although the 3 thin slices of pickle to the side was a disappointment. Also, no ranch sauce to dip my fries in? Sad, but still managed to deal with ketchup. Space was great, not too crowded on a Tuesday night. The beer selection is interesting, had the fruit wheat and the choices seem to vary quite frequently.

This is a nice place to meet for late dinner or drinks in flatiron. They take reservations, there’s a relatively lively vibe, and they have lots of beers on tap. The deserts could be improved.

Went to a large birthday hangout here. Very cool space. Rustic art deco interior. Very spacious — we easily had a group of 30+ fit comfortably in the conveniently empty back space with a large couch running the back wall.(we came in on a Saturday night around 10:15pm) I had a hard cider and a burger. Cider was good; burger was juicy and fresh. However: SOBLAND! The meat was so flavorless. I cannot forgive this. I barely finished it. This is a great space to hangout, have a drink, or gather a large group for a semi-casual gathering.

3.5 stars but giving it four because I was given a birthday shot my first time here(it was actually my birthday, I promise) and it was all kinds of amazing. Butterscotch schnapps maybe? Whatever it was, by far the most enjoyable shot I’ve ever taken. Came here last Saturday night after a year-long hiatus. Woefully empty — could not tell you why. I mean, not dusty saloon tumbleweed empty, but not as busy as I would’ve expected. The upside? Plenty of options for resting heeled feet. The downside? Mingle game: 0. My first time here was actually on my birthday, which was a completely different experience. It was packed, loud and wildly energetic. The only thing I remember ordering was the famed giant soft pretzel, because every soft pretzel/beer cheese appetizer I’ve ordered since has not come anywhere close to the deliciosity of this one. With this as my gold standard, I’m pretty much always disappointed with anything else. I think that alone warrants a four-star review. And the birthday shot will also not be forgotten, of course. Basically just 2 ounces of sugar, but who cares? On Saturday, I realized how sad this venue looks when it’s not packed. It’s a massive establishment, which is bright and fun and exciting and all that good stuff at peak time, but when the lights dim and people empty out, it seems last call-esque — I’d say this happens around midnight/1am. Still, it a great space. No shortage of tables — some of them communal — so finding a seat is typically easy. Drink-wise, nothing really notable. I had an imperial saison, which was a great way to end the night, but certainly not the best beer I’ve ever had. This place calls itself a beer hall(hence the name), so I’m a bit surprised that its selection is as small as it is. That said, quality over quantity every time, so I’m not knocking them for perceived lack of options. Decent experience overall. Found a cozy corner to have a heart to heart with a good friend over a beer so can’t complain too much.

I really enjoyed this place. We recently came here for some after-work drinks and were not disappointed. All of their beers come from Greenpoint Brewing, so while that may seem like there isn’t much to offer, it’s quiet the opposite. I was eyeing the oatmeal stout but ultimately went with the IPA, which I surprisingly liked. They also have Angry Orchard for you cider drinkers out there. The space is huge with hightop tables, some booths, and a spacious bar area. Once the sun goes down, they also lower the lights inside. Plenty of TVs showing sports and news. The staff is friendly but don’t expect them to check in on you all that often. I also appreciate that the tables have hooks for bags. Restrooms are clean. Everything about this spot just«works», especially since it can get crowded yet it won’t feel cramped thanks to how spacious it is.

Great spot for happy hour, or late night. I do happy hour with the coworkers here quite often cuz its down the street. Big tables where we can fit 20+ people. Lots of apps to share. Our favorites are the giant soft pretzel and the tater tots. The tater tots are out of this world good. Like a fried ball of potato and cheese heaven. Pretty much best tater tots ive ever had. Also like the fried deviled eggs. Beer here is awesome. Sizes range from a pint to a liter, thats a hell of a lot of beer. And a great selection. All beer brewed by greenpoint brewing specially for Flatiron Hall. Really like the IPA. Also great cocktails. Ive had the jalapeño mojito I think it was with the house infused jalapeño el jimador and its quite good. Fun to go here with groups late night as well. Place is always popping with all kinds of patrons.

Very loud, second only to Bestia in Downtown LA. Despite yelling to talk, my party of 4 had a wonderful time. Everything from service to apps to beer to food was great. Prices were lower than expected, this is NYC! But perhaps the best thing is what we keep talking about days later: TATERTOTS. 1. Crispy Tater Tots($ 8.50) — Bacon, Aged Cheddar & Chives. Like a crispy mashed potato ball. Amazing. Best I’ve ever had.(5.0 stars) 2. Warm Giant Pretzel($ 11.50) — with homemade cheddar ale cheese sauce and honey mustard. Best in class, thick and soft, perfectly salty.(5.0 stars) 3. Chicken Wings Sticky sesame chili sauce($ 10.95) — great sticky sauce, drumettes were cooked to perfection, but the wingette was slightly uncooked. Edible, but still.(4.0 stars) 4. Bratwurst and Sauerkraut($ 17.50) — 3 medium size sausages with grill marks, cooked perfectly, with soft sauerkraut and sliced potatoes. I’d get these again, anytime and anywhere.(4.5 stars) 5. Beer($ 9 pint) — tried both the Orange Blossom Light and the Red Ale. Orange Blossom light had hints of orange and lavender, and was honestly okay and bit odd with the lavender(3.5 stars). The Red Ale had a hoppy bite, and although not my preference, it was okay.(4.0 stars) Even though the place was extremely busy, Rebekah, remained calm and friendly. Which, of course, encourages a relaxed and fun environment. After all, she could have been running around like a crazed lunatic.(5.0 stars) Downstairs, they have a beer and whisky room with a small bar. Loud(of course), packed, great energy.(4.5 stars) Overall, I loved it.
