Too little, too late. I loved this store and am so sad to hear that they closed. Where else could you get a pair of vintage Chanel mules for $ 150?
Rents in NYC were always ridiculous, but the unfettered greed has gotten out of control and the city is losing its soul because of it.

This shop’s closing was handled terribly. I only realized they were closing because I walked by when they were clearing out the store and loading garbage bagged designer goods into a mini van. Asked why I never was notified. Was told they didn’t know because multiple emails were sent out. Really?! I double checked and never received one. Owner claimed they’ll be coming back to the area in an office rather than retail space (no lease yet) yet in the meantime she’ll be selling online and from her large apartment in Brooklyn. Not convinced any of this is ever going to happen. Their Facebook page actually blamed consignors for «not reading their emails or looking in their spam» and being «hacked» for the store’s failure to appropriately communicate the closure. Really? Took all my other items back even though they encouraged me to leave them. Finally (May 23^rd) the website has been updated with a contact number for consignors. Hope everyone works out their issues with Fisch. Sad to see this place go under such frustrating conditions.

This tiny jam-​packed consignment shop has a stellar collection of the best designer pieces in excellent condition. You never know what you’re going to find. Their bag collection is especially top notch. While I’m generally satisfied with the service I receive, the disorganization many have spoken about can be extremely frustrating for a seller. Multiple promises of callbacks from staff that never come and inordinate amounts of time waiting to find my items to return requiring multiple trips to the store are commonplace. Thankfully, I’ve never had trouble getting paid but I so wish the staff here would get it together. This easily could be 5 star location if they just worked on a better merchandise tracking system. The crew at Fisch have a great eye for designer and one of the most eclectic collections of high-​end resale in the city.

This store is a SCAM… l dropped off 12 items of luxury. Chanel jacket, Alexander Mcqueen, Prada, Burberry, Valentino, etc… they owe me a check and l was told to come in and pick up my check and l was going to pick up the remaining items that were not sold and to my surprise the store was evicted and the remaining items of mine were STOLEN by the owner. l was given NO notice about the closing in any way shape or form. l have reached out to Terin (the owner) via email, text and phone with NO response whatsoever. If anyone else had this issue please comment because this IS NOT ok !!! Erin is a THEIF !!! she still has about $ 6,500 worth of items of mine. If anyone has a different contact number for Terin please @ me

This is possibly the most fun store in Manhattan! I have never found more exciting items than I have in the space in Chelsea!!! Fantastic customer service and I cannot wait to come here again!

The worst place to sell! I have been waiting for my things to be returned for 8 weeks now. Every time I call, I get the same song and dance, they are still working on my return. How long does it really take to find three things. This has happened to be before as well. Will never sell with them again!

I have been shopping at Fisch for the Hip for the past 9 years now, and Terin and her staff (a shout out to Harvell!) couldn’t be more pleasant. They keep me well-​dressed in some of the best designer wear for men (Hermès, Saint Laurent, Dior Homme), which are oftentimes in pristine condition. The items that I have bought in the past have been rare finds, so I always try to stop by when I am in the neighbourhood in Chelsea.
The boutique is located right across the street and a block down Seventh Avenue from the original Barneys New York store, and is a gem of a find. I would highly recommend shopping here for any fashionista who knows his/​her designers, as they are all featured. Moreover, Terin has curated a very good handbag collection in the back of the store that often features Hermès Birkins and Chanel bags.
The store frontage is rather narrow, so keep an eye out for the designer goods that adorn the window display! Do stop back often, as the store receives quite a bit of designer goods from consignors who have direct ties to the fashion industry. You won’t be disappointed with the treasures that you will find!
I just added a few more pieces to my Spring wardrobe this week. Terin and Harvell are always so hospitable and offer their honest opinion on the clothing that I try on. They know fashion as well as my tastes, so I trust their fashion sensibilities. If only all retail stores in New York City could be staffed with people like Terin and Harvell who really love fashion and enjoy chatting with their customers about fashion. It makes the shopping experience even more enjoyable and personal.

I’ve know this store for over ten years. I have purchased thing I can’t find elsewhere and am always drawn to some item when I stop in. Recently I consigned five items. What a surprise when after a short time I stopped in and was given a check for a pleasing amount! I strongly suggest stopping in and discovering a NYC treasure! And the staff has always been friendly and helpful a major plus.

This store is a small hidden gem with a selective collection of items that are high end and high quality but for just a fraction of the cost. I had a pleasant shopping experience with friendly, helpful staff, and walked out with a current season burberry coat for 60% off department store price. Ask about seasonal discounts as winter coats might be marked down additionally. Also take advantage of the 10% Unilocal check-​in offer! The store is hard to miss strolling by, but once you’ve been you’ll never forget where it is!

Highly!!! Highly disorganized! The owner is a mess and often times I see her dog laying on the clothes. I don’t know about you but that is disgusting in my opinion and unprofessional. i am a dog lover but i would never have my smelly dog on merchandise i am selling, let alone «luxury» merchandise.
As a consignor, you may find yourself miserable here. Teri-​ann as i said before is terribly unorganized. She has a tendency to blame this and other negative attributes on her associates. When your item sells she doesnt or hardly notifies you. you literally have to pop in or stalk her for your earnings. A couple of times i also heard her complaining to customers about negative reviews on here and asking them to come on to Unilocal and write something nice… how dishonest?! I have even been to the shop while she stalked an African American couple until they got upset and left. she later told me they were planning on stealing and i just felt that was racist and i saw no proof of what she claimed.
Anyhow,
most times you can find good merchandise, i have found good pieces here but as of late she has been overpricing the items. Also, if you are thinking of consigning, she puts a higher price than you guys agree on but give you half of the initial price you Agreed on and call it a buyers fee.
lets just say a lot has changed since her old locations closed, and not change for the better.

I am a regular at this store — which attests to the high level of merchandise they sell. Lots of unusual items by the best «A-​list» designers. Not just Dior Homme & Prada, etc., but also Ann Demeulemester, Rick Owens, etc. I am rarely walking down the street without at least one item from FFTH, sometimes more.
In the past, I had some less-​than positive experiences with personnel, but the management has been proactive in addressing this. On one visit, quite a while back, I watched a customer purchase something and then leave. The moment the door had closed, the staff members started mocking his teeth and his clothes. But again, I think they are improving the customer experience.

A good deal… a very good one!!!
I’m not an avid buyer of products in consignment shops, but Fisch of the Hip is a cool place to stop by. They carry brands such as Chanel, Prada, Hermes, Celine, Chole, Alexander McQueen, Comme des Garçon, Louis Vuitton and several others — clothes, bags and accessories, for men and women! Their items are hand picked and in good conditions, so there is no need to worry. You may find something great at an amazing price…

First of all, I wanted to thank the staff member in Fisch for making my day. I’m always greeted with a smile and friendly conversation everytime I’m in the store. It’s an absolute delight to the rough, on the go life in NYC to see people who are so kind and generous with their energy.
If you’re lucky enough to have been shopping at this store as long as I have through their 3 different locations, then you know this store is the definition of the word LUXURY. It belongs on Madison Avenue and not because of the prices, but because the merchandise is of superior quality. The presentation is well though out and highly organized.
I’ve been blessed with finding Oscar de la renta coin necklaces, a Givenchy shark tooth necklace, KJL, a Clara studio earring and bracelet set, and even more recently a John Hardy sterling silver an black sapphire ring here. Amongst countless other items throughout the years.
I absolutely love this shop, you feed my addiction as a treasure hunter! LOL
Thank you for always finding me lovely treasures and giving then to me for so much more reasonable then anywhere else in the city!

I stopped off at my usual consignment boutique and found an amazing jkt by Alexander Wang. Harvell and Terin made me try it on and it is so amazing. From the runway made it more appealing. I asked about the Layaway program as I just spent a bundle at the shows. Terin offered me a great plan to pay the jkt off and I was so grateful.
I am also a Consignor and hope to sell my items and I can use my credit and Consignor discount towards this amazing piece. I have known Terin for several year and know she always does right by me. I have never received less than 50 percent of the selling price and twice a year she gives me 60 percent back.
I am a true believer and love this store.

This is probably my favorite consignment store in NYC. Terin and her staff of fashionistas always get the best of the best (i.e. Hermes, Dior, Proenza Schouler, Balenciaga, etc). The last time I was in, Cheryl, helped me find three gorgeous dresses 2 Helmut Lang’s and 1 Stella McCartney. Of course, even though they were prices really well they were a little out of my budget but what I didn’t know was they have a LAYAWAY program! Cheryl and Terin allowed me to put the bare minimum down and three months later I was paid off with 3 new dresses. Not only do I buy here but I consign; unlike most places, they give me half of what the value is which is really fair and ideal.
If you want great pieces to buy or you want to sell your merchandise, this is definitely the gem to go to.

Great consignment. They carry a lot of Dior Homme in mint condition at a reasonable price. Staff is friendly and product-​knowledgable. I found better garments here than INA.

Beautifully merchandised with a special treasure for anyone, the customer service dazzles just a bit more than a stingray Dior minaudière I had my eye on as a gift for a friend.
