History

Established in 2014.

It’s not easy to get delicious healthy food on the go. That’s what Field realized while traveling cross-​country in pursuit of a professional cycling career. «For me it was about eating quickly and healthily on the road so I could get back on my bike and compete. But I found eating well to be about as difficult as biking 130 miles in a day.» With that, he saw a new challenge: making great food accessible to all.

As a seasoned chef, Field founded Fields Good Chicken on the belief that our food is only as good as the quality of our ingredients. This means selecting local, antibiotic free chicken, fresh produce, and artisanal bread, and making everything in house from scratch. It means chicken that takes hours to prepare before it even hits the grill.

Great food takes time, thought, and passion. Because like Field, we all know that the best ingredients combined with innovative preparation by skilled chefs leads to the most delicious chicken.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Field spent the better part of his 20’s unintentionally making his parents extremely nervous. He quit his job in corporate finance at Amgen to pursue a career in professional cycling. In need of a way to fund his training, Field took a night job making salads at a local restaurant and worked his way up to sous chef. Over the years, Field developed a passion for high quality ingredients and simple, thoughtfully prepared food. He also learned how to sauté a mean piece of bass while cooking at Restaurant Kelly Liken in Vail, CO.

After receiving an MBA at Cornell University, Field brought his passion for the restaurant industry to NYC. With 8 years of experience in the back of house, front of house, and restaurant finance, Field decided it was time to realize his dream of creating food that is both healthy and delicious. Fields Good Chicken is the product of over a decade of pursuing passions.
