I think I just got one of the best hair cuts ever ! Service is friendly and super professional. Alexia is just fantastic and I highly recommend you to go to Fellow Barber Soho.

For years I got 15 dollar haircuts and they were fine. One day I decided to go to Fellow Barber in williamsburg and they gave me a haircut that exceeded my expectations and now is my standard. Yes 45 bucks is a lot for a haircut, but the experience is pleasant, consistent and it is honestly a better cut that makes me look better. Out of my indulgences this one sticks because it’s once every couple months and they do a really good job here. I’ve gone to every location and they all do a great job.

I usually don’t write reviews, especially to places that I have been going to for a while. I came here for a haircut (iv been growing my hair out for almost a year) i was very specific about what i wanted yet the barber seemed to totally disregard it and do his own thing. He started chopping off my top and when i told him to stop he didn’t and told me it looks good, not to worry… Well now im back to a short haircut and i needed to go to another barber after the fact in order to fix the monstrosity of an uneven and generic haircut he gave me. YOU’RE IN A SERVICE INDUSTRY SERVICE YOUR CLIENTS BASED OFF THEIR WANTS… YOUR OPINION AS A BARBER SHOULD BE KEPT TO YOURSELF AND YOU SHOULD NEVER DISREGARD THE CLIENTS REQUESTS!

I have been a customer for more than a year and have had excellent hair cuts at Fellow Barber. However, their recent policy of requiring full credit card details to make a reservation is absolutely ridiculous, and until the policy is reversed back to being able to phone in for an appointment I will not be going back.
Call me paranoid, but why do you need to store my CC details for a haircut, especially when it seems everybody and their brother is getting hacked and their data stolen from merchants lately? This is a bonehead requirement.

Awesome! Go and see Mike Scissors! He is awesome. Been in NY for a year and have been looking for a barber I can trust and he nailed it. He knows his stuff and corrected the mistakes in previous cuts. All staff we were really friendly.

I have been a customer since 2006. I loved my haircuts from Mike Haar; a true ‘Craftsman’; he is a true 5 Star Barber.
HOWEVER, as of January 18, 2016, Fellow Barber has instituted a ‘must have credit card’… ‘reserve an appointment online with a Credit Card only POLICY. I not pleased with this new POLICY will no longer be a patron of Fellow Barber as of TODAY. This process of getting a men’s haircut has become much to complicated for my liking… I will not provide anymore personal information online except my phone number to schedule a haircut/​shave/​treatments.
What’s next? Fellow Barber Rewards Cards?
Please revert back to the previous arrangement to ‘Schedule a haircut online by providing your Phone Number’ or you will lose me as a patron Fellow Barber.

Place is awesome, they only hire the best! The place is a bit expensive, but for the talent there it’s worth it. Definitely use the online check in system. Wait times can get ridiculous sometimes.

The best haircut I’ve had in my life came from Fellow Barber SoHo. I didn’t have to wait more than 10 minutes, everyone was fairly amiable, and from a poor description of what I was going for, my barber (I think it was Luis) gave me my favorite haircut. Only rating 4 stars because the price is three times higher than I normally pay for my cuts. You get what you pay for!

Excellent service and experience. Making an appointment was easy and quick. I went in for a beard trim with Katrina on my break at my job on 6^th Ave. and Canal. I was in and out in about 20 min and even had enough time to grab a bite before heading back to work.

Favorite barbershop in the city but you have to ask for Xavier. Ive been going to him for the past couple year and the dudes the only guy I trust.

He has been cutting my hair for 3 years now and I can honestly say all of his haircuts are fresh/​on-​point. He is dedicated to getting every little detail right and his skills are unmatched.
He is also a very friendly person and is always in a good mood.
The shop itself is fine. I wish they would accept appointments but they’ll tell you how long the wait is and I don’t mind killing time in Soho.

Any negative comments are ridiculous. Most of them are from people who sign up for Unilocal to specifically complain– not a valid reflection of this great place.
Luis has been cutting my hair for almost 2 years now and I wouldn’t trust anyone else.

I went here for the first time a month ago and got a great haircut by Ashley.
I called earlier today and asked if I needed or if they took appointments. The guy at the reception told me she was working and I could just walk in because they don’t take appointments. So I stroll over after work and walk in to be greeted by a girl who tells me Ashley is booked for the day. I ask her why I was told otherwise over the phone a few hours earlier and she shrugs and says sometimes the barbers book their own appointments. How is anyone ever supposed to return after a good haircut if they are being lied to? How can someone be so inconsiderate of a customers time? I won’t be returning. I wouldn’t recommend going there unless you are okay just going there once and okay with being lied to and wasting a trip to the shop. There’s other reviews for other locations that mention shoddy reception. Check them out and think twice before buying into the hype.

I’ve been going to Fellow Barber in Soho for a few months now, and I’ve never looked better — grooming-​wise, at least.
The staff here is expert and friendly. The atmosphere stylish and cozy. Wait times have been minimal in my experience. (I usually go midweek afternoons.) And the prices are reasonable for such quality work.
My hair isn’t the easiest to manage, with a few ornery waves, an equine thickness and two (yes, two) defiant cowlicks. Even so, every cut I’ve had here has been better than the last.
The straight-​razor shaves, of which I’ve had two, are a treat. Though not usually one for self-​pampering, I can see myself going for another. The whole process felt appropriately traditional: spritz, oil, hot menthol towel (!), warm cream, shave, repeat, cold towel, lotion. Both times, I left the chair baby’s-butt smooth and smelling, quite literally, like a rose. (That’d be the rosewater.)
The shop itself is in the heart of Soho, but, rest assured, it’s socked away on a pleasant, cobblestoned side street, hidden from the tourist hordes that swarm Broadway.
If you do go, I’d recommend asking for Ashley, to whom most of the above praise is due. I’ve been a customer of hers for a while and have found her to be an absolute ace with the scissor, clipper and razor, not to mention an unfailing pleasure to chat with. A rarity among stylists, Ashley is a dedicated, all-​around pro who manages to outdo herself with every cut.
So here’s to continued success for Fellow Barber. I’m happy to call myself a regular and look forward to many more visits.
