Has a little bit of everything. From wires and kitchen stuff to dishware and lottery tickets. Not your typical discount store.

This discount store is a little pricer than the .99 cents stores but it gets the job done. It is a little tight on space, but they have a good selection of stuff. I usually come here for party supplies like plastic cups and table clothes. It’s also good for holiday wrapping paper and decorations. Some things here don’t really have discount prices. Overall it’s a convenient store to have right by the subway entrance.

This is a convenience/discount store. Fair warning — it is not for the claustrophobic or for the Feng Shui enthusiast. It is however listed in Hoarders Hot Spots and Everything You Didn’t Know You Needed Journal. This store is right by the 30th Ave N train stop and is open 10 am — 11 pm daily. Forgot your umbrella? You guessed it — they have it — along with other long stick inventions including mops and brooms. They take credit cards and you can pick up a soft drink and a Lotto ticket if you are so inclined. It has some reasonably priced items and some inexplicably over priced items. I stop by on my way home whenever I have a need for a new shower liner, strips of Velcro, a stack of plastic cups, an extension cord, you get the idea. For every little felt piece for under chairs sold at half the price of Home Depot, there are $ 70 paella pots that you can find cheaper at Bed Bath and Beyond Expensive. I enjoy it for the deals that I find and pass on the rest.
