EverTrue Semi-Permanent Makeup Salon

I just came here last Wednesday for my first ever semi-​permanent makeup appointment. I was mildly terrified because, frankly, I’m kind of vain about my face and the thought of doing anything permanent to it is beyond nerve-​wracking.
Michelle was so wonderful and patient with me, even when I was the idiot client that locked the bathroom key in the bathroom. The whole experience was better than I thought it would be. Even though I knew it would look a bit scary at first, it still took me off guard. After a couple days, things settled down pretty dramatically and I absolutely love the results. I had no idea how much time I spent on my eyebrows every day until I didn’t have to do them anymore! I’m very much looking forward to my touch-​up appointment in six weeks.

My Bestie had a consultation here and I went along for moral support… and boy am I glad I did. I really enjoyed my experience with EverTrue and believe they do amazing work.
As soon as you enter you notice the beautiful décor and soothing music. It creates a relaxing feel and mood. We were instantly greeted by the receptionist who knew my Bestie’s name. I liked the attention to detail and personal touch that gave. It made us both feel welcomed right away.
When we walked in they also offered us water and took our coats. Considering we were bundled up coming from outside it was nice to get comfy.
While not large, the suite was very clean and pristine for a moderately small space. EverTrue did extremely well in making designated area to make the space feel larger. There was a check in area, a sit down long table where you could speak to your consultant and let them know your needs, a seating area with a nice grey couch and of course the make up area. What I loved is the table beds were laid along the back with the large windows letting in so much light. The light really made the place feel even bigger.
My friend was very pleased with her consultation. The woman helping us was patient and explained everything she did. She let us know that she would do the best to make the look work for my bestie’s face and she did just that. I was so shocked to see the temporary make up on her and I thought she looked so different (in a good way of course). She was super pleased with the work which made me even happier. Needless to say she’ll be back!
I was so amazed with the work done there, that I myself have started looking through their website to see if there is anything I could get done. I’ll keep Unilocal posted if I do!

Since I was old enough to realize what a little eyeliner across your top lid can do for you, I’ve been doing it damn near every day. And though my brows needed a fill in, too, I’d only take the time to do that every so often. As life has gotten busier and busier, I did both less and wasn’t happy about it. Enter Evertrue.
I wish I had known about this years ago! I got my eyeliner and brows done by Michelle and it’s the best thing I’ve done for myself in years. She’s a gentle artist. She listened carefully to exactly what I wanted and executed my wishes to the letter — after marking up the area to confirm shape and shade and after the awesome numbing cream did it’s work. Now, no matter how tired, overworked, and underslept, I wake up with perfect liner and brows. It doesn’t seem like much, but it’s really something to get those 5 minutes back every day — and to have this on the days you wouldn’t have done it to begin with. I figure 5 minutes a day about 5 days a week is nearly a half an hour in one week That’s 2 hours of your life back a month! Priceless.
Everyone there — consummate professionals working in a relaxing, elegant environment. So thankful to have discovered Evertrue.

Went in for the brow service and I must say I was very impressed by Jackie Lum’s work. I can say I am a very demanding and detail oriented customer. I want to know as much information and of course want it to be perfect. Jackie really took the time to listen to my concerns and answered all my questions. My eyebrow shape is amazing, I get compliments all the time. The staff overall is super friendly. They all have a very pleasant attitude. The salon looks like a small boutique is super clean and it has a spa feel to it, great atmosphere with calm music and minimal background noise. I am completely in love with the place and with my brows, so much so that I recommended two of my friends and they both came out as satisfied as I did.

My experience at EverTrue is always amazing! I’ve had two types of sessions with Michelle so far — the Bespoke Brows and the Eyeliner Perfection. In a nutshell, I absolutely LOVE the results.
First and foremost — the Bespoke Brows!
I’ve had semi-​permanent brows done in the past and I’ve always been happy with the results. Who wouldn’t love waking up and NOT having to fuss with barely there brows, pencils and eyebrow powders, am I right?! Let me just say that EverTrue’s Bespoke Brows technique brings #browsonfleek to a whole different level — the results are not just brows that look «shaded» or «colored» in. Each and every stroke is meticulously placed to give you a full, natural and perfectly shaped brow.
During my consultation (yes-​get a consultation!), Michelle shaped and penciled in what the stroke-​effect would look like. The effect combined with a slight arch and lengthened brow made a dramatically natural difference, if that makes sense! Michelle definitely has an eye for what will work best to enhance your natural features.
The procedure itself was painless and there was zero redness, swelling or downtime. I went to work the next morning and no one was the wiser. I received tons of compliments without anyone even knowing that it was semi-​permanent make-​up! My brows fully healed and peeled in 7 days but everyone will heal a bit differently. I love the results and I highly recommend Michelle and EverTrue.
Second — I had my first Eyeliner Perfection session yesterday, more to come on that but I’m really excited about the results!
What’s also great and rare about this place is that it’s semi-​private, super relaxing, and extremely welcoming. Ramon and Michelle are the nicest people you will ever meet! All around fabulous.

So shameful am I… thought I posted this a while ago when I uploaded my initial pics… I have since done my consultation, bespoke Brows and perfecting eyeliner and my perfecting session.
I had been looking to do something permanent for a while now after a very bad waxing job many ages ago… and continued issues with my brows not growing back to their glory has been a very expensive problem over time with failed sealants and brow pomades. So not remembering how I was exposed to Evertrue (either instagram or Facebook I guess on a random public posting blast) was glad nonetheless of the exposure. Having toyed with the idea of going to a traditional tattooist but afraid of the blue death or permanent «Resting Bitch Face» or clown brows (you all have posted said photos on your FB or IG and thank you for the laughter)…I just needed that pic to not be me!!!
August 14, 2015 — I am faced with the best consultation I have had in a long time… it was simple, quick and easy. I walked away bubbly and giddy like a kid on Xmas Eve. The environment was clean and comfy with a minimal spa… boutique hotel like feel. Ramon who greets you at the door is inviting and down right adorable (and plays the best tunes… some type of indie folk… blue grass music). Michelle Wu the brow Whisper is professional… yet open and just amazing… she explains the process in great detail and answers all questions and is wicked with them steady hands. And her eye for balance… did I say she is amazing!!!
August 29^th — my Bespoke Brows and Perfecting Eyeliner session arrives… I am excited and nervous… possibly rethinking my decision to do this… again afraid of having permanent «Resting Bitch Face» or clown brows… and because of my obsessive nature I have downloaded way too many brow and eyeliner pics and make Michelle look at them all before we begin and she walks me through the process yet again. And because Ramon is a darling unseemingly puts me at ease and may possibly may be more excited for me then I am excited for myself. And because the them of Evertrue is amazing and just downright awesome my brows and eyes are on «Fleek!!!» as the kids say lol.
The after care process was simply and doable. Outside of the slight swelling of my eyes which lasted for about 2 – 3 days and no issues for my brows at all. I must say because of Michelle’s expertise and background in diamond cutting and general eye for overall detail the healing literally only took 7 days.
My perfecting session was equally painless and thorough 2 months later.
There are no words that can truly express the joy of not having to spend ½ hr drawing in eyebrows that I mistakenly wipe away in an instance of flight and fancy because I forgot they are drawn in. The ease of walking out the door with did brows and a hint of eyeliner so that a basic no fuss face daily for work was worth a week of no water. And a sec to dress her up more dramatically is totally worth the investment.
I will miss Ramon and Michelle until my next visit in 1 to 2 yrs depending on the fading… I have never been without enough nice words for folk or a business in general since I have been Unilocaling.
Amazing they are!!!

I am a 10-​yr vet new york city hairstylist and a strawberry-​blonde with full eyebrows and was looking for a bolder brow color and a more defined shape like Cara Delavingne. Let me tell you, I’m totally satisfied! My brows are bolder and more defined and still a bit wild as I like them that way. All I do is swipe some colorless gel along then and they are fab. Maintenance is plucking a few strays. Note that the first four days out from application, your brows will be very, very bold, so keep your bangs long if you work in a more conservative field. Otherwise live it up like I did!

I had a wonderful experience at Evertrue Salon. Michelle Wu made me feel so comfortable and at ease as she explained the procedure and drew out how my brows would look when completed. A numbing gel was applied and after 15 minutes she began. Didn’t feel a thing and after a little more than 30 minutes I was walking out the door with a bit of healing gel, some care instructions and gorgeous bespoke brows. My brows didn’t even hurt after the numbing gel wore off. No need to be afraid, it’s painless and I am super pleased with my new brows! The salon space is bright and clean, very peaceful and Zen.
