Eugene Shulimovich Hand Engraving

Mr. Eugene is a sweet heart. I walked in yesterday wanting to make a simple gift a little more personal and he did not disappoint. I explained what I wanted and showed him the font in which I wanted it and he did just that. It was his last day before going on vacation and he did me the favor of engraving the piece within an hour. I was beyond pleased with the result and I am sure my friend will love his gift. I in NO WAY recommend going to this establishment for engraving services. He completely destroyed the piece I brought him! I picked it up the day before Valentine’s Day as a present for my boyfriend and I can’t give it to him nor is it remotely salvageable!
I purchased a gold-​colored tie bar that I wanted engraved with my boyfriend’s 4 initials. The problems I have with the quality of work are many:
1) I stressed that I wanted the initials on the far right side of the tie bar. He never wrote down my instructions and engraved them in the middle! I would have been willing to overlook this were it not for the fact that…
2) He SCRATCHED THE METAL! There was a BIG scratch in the middle of the tie bar! In the middle of the engraving! He tried to tell me it wasn’t there before telling me that it was «covered in scratches» when I brought it to him – LIES! I am very detail-​oriented and thoroughly combed over the tie bar before purchasing it.
3) He discolored the metal! By trying to remove the scratch that he finally conceded was there, he wore down the plating so that the gold color has gone off ¾ of the tie bar! It now looks old, cheap, and tarnished (and it was in perfect condition when I purchased it at J. Press!).
I can NOT give my boyfriend his present in this condition! Scratched, discolored, and incorrectly engraved. I’m furious and disappointed beyond words!

Had a pair of vintage binoculars that i wanted my husbands broadway debut date engraved on.
Was a little nervous dropping it off (since whats done is done) but it turned out great!
Took about a week but had it when i needed it. Would def go back.

Mr. Shulimovich engraved a lighter for me, a Christmas present to my godson. He gave a lot of good advices and engraved his initials, in only a few hours and for a great result. It looks amazing; and the engraving made it the perfect personalized gift for Christmas.
If you have anything to engrave from a wedding band to a zippo, Mr. Shulimovich is THE person to go to!

If you are looking for fine hand engraving, Eugene is hands down the best there is. I have taken him several jobs and all have come out excellently. His work is impeccable and his price is perfect. If you want a cheap computer laser job, this is not your man. He is an artist and his work is beautiful. Perfect for inscribing that special something for that special someone.

There are a lot of people that say they do engraving in the Diamond District, but after meeting with three different people who all used a computer to do the engraving, one of them sent us to Eugene to get a good hand engraving. Obviously what I wanted in the first place!
Eugene is a kindly old man from the Ukraine who did an amazing hand engraving on a ring I got for my anniversary from my girlfriend. He also had a little display of other cool things he has engraved, a zippo, some wax sealing irons and other random items.
Overall he did an amazing job and I’d definitely trust him to engrave something dear to me in the future. It cost only $ 15 and took him about 48 hours to turn around. You can see from the picture of the gold ring, he did the ‘D’.
