Established in 1999 by Dr. Sumir Sahgal, Essen Medical Associates has become a leading multi-​specialty group dedicated to providing highest quality medical care in Bronx, NY and surrounding communities.

Essen Medical Physicians are Board Certified and/​or Board eligible.

In the recent years, we have converted our practice to a paperless system: Electronic Health Record to secure and provide instant and accurate information to our patients. In 2005, Dr. Sahgal initiated a House Call program to continue the care of our patients in their homes. Due to our dedication to our patients, we are recognized as a Patient Centered Medical Home by the National Committee for Quality Assurance.
