Elan Flowers

Like the reviewer below I’m also quite surprised at the negative responses. I called this morning at 10am for a bouquet for my mom’s birthday to see if it could be picked up at 1pm same day (I opted for the ‘desktop’ size arrangement).
Just picked them up, they are GORGEOUS. I’m still in the cab looking at them…

I’m a bit surprised to see some of the poor reviews on this page as I was pretty excited to leave a really positive review after my fantastic experience with Élan flowers over this past month.
I needed something custom for an engagement and while I thought their arrangements were unique and beautiful, I didn’t really see anything with the color scheme that worked with my setup. I sent an email explaining what I was looking for and Rebecca got right back to me and was eager to work with me to create something special for my event. She asked me what I was looking for and after some discussion, she went to her creative team and came up with a color scheme and some flower selections that they thought would work well. So I trusted them to execute and they absolutely came through. The flowers were delivered well in advance the day of the engagement and even though they left the arrangement with the doorman as instructed, the delivery guy still gave me a call to let me know which I thought was a nice touch.
The flowers were beautiful and they stayed nice and fresh through Saturday’s heat. They smell amazing and we still have them up on the bedside table because why wouldn’t you want to smell flowers as you’re falling asleep?
Thanks to Rebecca and the whole design team, I was absolutely impressed as were all the guests. Look forward to working with you in the future.

My mom and I were interested in having Élan Flowers create the flower arrangements for my wedding (e.g., bride’s bouquet, bridesmaids’ bouquets, groomsmen’s boutonnieres, table centerpieces, and flowers for the church). We went to their store in Tribeca and met with a representative. She offered us some suggestions and said she would email us with the quote. However, we never received a quote despite several emails and phone calls asking them to respond. We were very disappointed.

My sister had flowers sent to me for my birthday. She lives in New Zealand but still managed to hunt out this incredible florist. The delivery man was polite, and the packaging it came in was great!

I can’t speak to how they are to order from, but as the receiver of an incredible gift, I couldn’t be happier.

We had Élan Flowers provide flowers for our December wedding in NYC. All of our arrangements were beautiful and exactly what we envisioned.
Sarah willingly provided helpful input as well when we were discussing our options.
Planning a wedding in an unfamiliar place can be unnerving and Sarah was able to reassure me through the process that there was no need to fret about our flowers. They were delivered intact, on time and the price was excellent.

This florist has the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. They never return calls, they are incredibly slow and they never do what they say they are going to do. I’ve experienced this type of service for months with my monthly orchid refill and I have given them the benefit of the doubt for months now and finally after my orchid pot sat in my valet for literally weeks (even after calling 3 or 4 times asking where my orchid was) they never even picked up the pot. They don’t value consistent clients and don’t understand how to get it together to function like a valued neighborhood business. The other employees have absolutely no idea what’s going on either. Everyone seems so clueless when answering the phone, even with consistent clients. They make you feel completely non existent. I’ve NEVER written a review about anything in my life, but I was so appalled by this service I had to let others know. Do not under any circumstances give business to this florist! They also charged my credit card for way more than the agreed amount that I was paying for an orchid… I could go on but you get the point…

Élan Flowers did the floral arrangements for my black tie wedding in Manhattan. I was beyond impressed with the creative concepts and designs they had and we were able to build a romantic theme around those ideas. I am very grateful for Élan Flowers… they made my wedding ceremony and reception perfect.

I often buy arrangements for both my self and to send out to clients (my very disciminating clients). Élan flowers are disctinct, effeminate, chic and just all around classic. Their designers have serious talent and are always such a pleasure to work with. A refreshing presence indeed.

I’ve ordered flowers from Élan for years as hostess and birthday gifts. The arrangements have, without fail, been beautifully done and far above the normal run-​of-​the-​mill arrangements you often get. I’ve read the negative review and must say that I’ve found them to be always helpful and pleasant. I sometimes think I get invited back to dinner just for the flowers I send…

I ordered some pretty pink garden roses for my gf this valentines day. So i decided to go with this florist after friends recommendation, and after burning myself with 1800 flowers the year before.
And i had really great experience with élan flowers, everything went smoothly, the roses looked fresh and beautiful and lasted for a week. My gf was reallllly happy.

I needed a very special gift to for a very special birthday for someone who loves blood red Calla Lilies. I ordered the potted blood red Calla Lily plant which they had in front of the store when I came in. I gave them at least a week and half before pick by me and I prepaid. A few hours before pick I get the call telling me they don’t have a nice one to give me. I came into the store looked at the replacement they offered, which was nowhere near as nice as the one I had seen when I placed the order. I stated that the blood red one was requested and picked particularly specially for this individual receiving the gift. I asked for another potted plant option and they offered Hydrangeas Plant (not comparable in elegance at all) and then showed me a blood red orchid plant and expected me to pay additional money if I wanted that plant despite their screw up. Ridiculously poor customer service when they messed up at the last minute, the day of pick up, and then had the nerve to expect me to pay more for their mess up. I explained that I had no backup plan and expected the plant for tonight’s event. Still they had no care whatsoever for the inconvenience they caused me and after they had completely ruined the day, had the nerve to wish me a good day after just providing me with a refund. No genuine apologies for the terrible position they had put me in at all and I was left to scramble for another florist last minute, luckily I did find a florist who was great and helpful, Langdon Florists worked with me and helped with rescuing the day. Never again will I go to ELAN FLOWERS!!!
