Specialties
Spanish Tapas, Basque cuisine, Wine
Family-owned, Spanish restaurant, and gem of the Upper East Side, El Porron prides itself with serving classic and signature tapas in a casual elegant setting. An endless menu of perfect portions leaves your palate begging for more. With a wine list equally as impressive and just as much a part of the program as the cuisine, Mr. G and his son Diego Bermeo front of the house Manager/Wine Director will make you feel like you have slipped away to San Sebastian from the first bite to the last sip.
History
Established in 2009.
Hailing from a small town on the Basque countryside Mr. G., owner and chef of El Porron, originally opened his first restaurant in Queens more than eight years ago. After a successful run, Mr. Bermeo made the move to Manhattan and it has proved to be a good one. His passion for traditional Spanish-style tapas translates to gorgeous dishes that have pleased many diners.
