Appalling customer service:
I came into Ebinezer’s for a full set of lashes and was disappointed when my lashes came out clumped in some areas and sparse in others.
I asked to have them removed, but the beautician, receptionist, and owner refused.
I told the owner it was wrong of them to force me to leave with the lashes on. To which he replied, «I don’t care» and added that I should go home to remove them myself w Vasalene.
I was dumbfounded that he took this position, especially when I’d already agreed to pay Ebenezers $ 105 for a set of lashes I was not going to benefit from.
Long story short, I ended up paying the $ 105 at Ebinezers, and another $ 25 at different salon to have them removed a few hours later. It was a very costly and upsetting experience.

I came here with my mom by recommendation after we were repeatedly rejected by other «overbooked» salons to get a set of eyelash extensions. The receptionist and technician took their time explaining which lengths blended together would look the most natural. If you want the thicker kind, it’s +$ 10. The whole process took about 1 hour and we left happily by 8pm. Thank you for not turning us down even though 1) we had no appointment, and 2) we were cutting close to closing time. My mom REALLY wanted to try it for the first time. The total cost was $ 94 + tip (cash only!). I’ll update when I find out how well her lashes are holding out.

I’ve been coming here for 6+ months and am still in love. I find the ladies there to be kind, skilled, patient and friendly. seriously, I cannot say enough good things about them. While it may seem a bit high maintenance at first, when you realize how much time it will save in the morning, getting out the door is just a breeze. I highly recommend them.

I got eyelash extensions for my wedding and was so happy with them! The whole process took a little over an hour. They were so meticulous about the application process and I even got a nice foot massage. They suggested for my wedding going a touch more dramatic so it gets picked up in the pictures. They were so right, my lashes were perfect for the wedding. I received so many compliments on them from everyone — airline employees, friends, family, to my makeup artist. The lashes lasted all throughout our honeymoon in Belize — think wind, water, sand, salt and humidity, and I still had them about 6 weeks after they were initially applied.
Great lashes and loved them!

I’ve been coming here since 2008. Yes, they’re stepford wife’wish, but they’re great ladies. Every two weeks, for past 6 years, is over 150 visits. I may have had problems twice with my lashes. I love them. The ladies are awesome. The add-​ons get pricey, but I’m ok with that. You get what you pay for. I recommend this place greatly. My bi-​weekly relaxation, AND I wake up beautiful.

Best eyelash extensions from the different places I have tried. They look great and last me for quite a while considering I am not one to be careful about maintaining them. I have tried all the three locations and don’t really have a preference, but I try to choose the location on 32^nd st because the subway is so close. Eyelashes are a serious addiction because once they start falling out you start to feel bald as you have become accustomed to what I refer to as my «EYE DRAMA.»

After a friend highly recommended the place, I made an appointment. My eyelashes were glued, I paid $ 96 and I was told not to use water for 24 hours. I was allowed to use makeup, but not to use oily makeup remover. I followed the instructions.
24 hours later, though, when I finally used water gently, clumps of eyelashes came off. I called the place and told them, but couldn’t come back for another day. Finally, 32 hours after my treatment – and more lost eyelashes – I managed to return.
I was told that I had lost too many hairs. They would glue some for free, but the amount I really needed to make up the lost ones would cost me another $ 34. I declined to throw good money after bad money. I did not take them up on the offer to just glue a few in the bold spots (where I still had my own eyelashes.)
Just to prove to myself, I continued to follow their care instructions for the remainder of the lashes. A few sparse hairs stuck for two weeks, but of course, those were hardly what I had gone in for…

I always loved Ebenezer. The owner and staff receive 5 star in customer service. They always knew me by my first name and always squeezed me in even when I called last minute. I went there for over a year. The price however started to become quite expensive although I should understand, because I always got the extra long and thick set. My only gripe and reason why I stopped going was because for the money I was spending $ 75 + 20tip for technician and $ 5tip for massage my lashes were falling out at an alarming rate after only 2 days. I realized it all depended on which technician you get and they don’t allow you to request a specific one. I explained this to them but it was left at just that. I do miss this place and their amazing customer service, but it’s not worth it to spend all that money hoping whoever did my lashes will actually make them last. Sorry Ebenezer!
Definitely give this place a try and remember cash only!

You know you’re officially high maintenance when you pay people to stick needles in you, pour hot wax on your nooners, and painstakingly hand-​glue individual pieces of fake hair to your eyelashes, all within the span of two days.
That is a LOT of lying on tables hoping that the ladies working on you know what you’re doing.
That said, for a process that will make as much sense to future generations as corsets and foot-​binding make to us, Ebenezer’s a pretty dope experience. The ladies who work there are simply lovely: effusive, accommodating, and oh-​so-​gentle. The waiting room looks like a Louis XIV salon got it on with a Long Island living room (yes, in a good way). If you’ve never had your lashes did before, they’ll explain every bit of the process to you before wiping your eyes down with a soft cotton swab, laying you down on a table in a dimly lit room, and covering you with a blanket.
The lady who did my lashes must wash her hands in the dust of butterfly wings. It was almost like getting a face massage. They play nice (if repetitive) classical music and it’s hard not to fall asleep. I did.
Important note: the thick lashes are THICK. They told me they were mixing thick, thin, and a couple of lengths to give it a natural look. This look is only natural if you’re Betty Boop. Fine by me (I’m a princess, dammit), but may not be appropriate for your court appearance or dinner with the Queen.
Extra bonus: turns out this joint is in the same building as Unique Threading, my go-​to «I wish I could just get rid of this hair without having to make an appointment» spot. So within two hours, I got more hair up there and less down there.
Isn’t being a spoiled American awesome?

Back for an update. I stopped going to get extensions for some time because I couldn’t afford it. The one time I came back to do them for the holidays/​NYE, I was disappointed and have confirmed that I am officially going the perm + FiberWig route. Or at least, just trying to fill them elsewhere. (I tried getting the 3 pronged falsies at Brow Zone. also in this list as they’re only $ 35 but last time I tried it they were so comfortable/​itchy and looked fake/​too thick).
So. apparently if you want thicker eyelashes (and any length more than «short» so «medium or long». it’s $ 10 extra. On top of the $ 90 full set. Obviously, everyone wants medium or long, otherwise why would they get extensions? Just a bogus way for them to monetize. I highly doubt it’s any more expensive to order .678 589 mm of a difference in length of lashes. Moreover, if you want the special mascara to make the lashes curl up (very important for me and many of their clients as we’re all Asian and our eyelashes are thin and go down), then another extra $ 10. I realized I needed this because otherwise you have long lashes that go straight out or down. even worse.
So in sum, you are paying $ 120 for a full set (and don’t forget tip). It’s also more worth it to just bear fallen lashes and re do your full set if you are customer because they charge a premium to get fills in between, some $ 30 – 50 (though they make it seem like it’s cheaper if you come every 2 – 3 weeks– not true).
ALSO. Very upset that just in 5 – 7 days some lashes were already falling out! I’ve done extensions here many times in the past so perhaps it was my technician… but still. Unacceptable!
Granted, I don’t take as good care as I should because the lashes are actually aggravating and I still find that I need to wear eyeliner so I need to still battle with them to remove my makeup. That probably did cause a higher rate of fall out but all in all, not worth all the money and hassle.

When I was living in New York for a few months, a friend recommended this place. I am soooo glad I had this experience, but a little bummed since now I’m back home and Ebenezer isn’t nearby. I find myself trying to find excuses to go to New York again just to get my lashes done again. I even called them to find out more about their process to find something comparable here, but of course they say it’s all their own lashes and process.
I have had eyelash extensions twice before Ebenezer and loved them. My eyes are sensitive and I can’t wear mascara all the time. I enjoyed the look of the eyelash extension without all the tearing and hassle of mascara. I thought the past places I went to were great — until I experienced Ebenezer. My eyes didn’t tear at all during the process of applying the eyelashes at Ebenezer and they lasted a LONG time. When I got the original application, I did notice quite a few lashes from the corners fell out and I was expecting more to fall out, but that didn’t happen. I would have just been happy with the one application, but I had a wedding to attend a few weeks later so I went in for the touchup before the 14 day cut off. After that they lasted 6 weeks and looked FABULOUS! I got the natural length. Added bonus is the relaxing atmosphere and mini leg and arm massage as they finish the process. I highly recommend this place enough to veterans and newcomers to eyelash extensions.

This place is amazing and the eyelashes are beyond what I ever expected was possible. They seriously look so great and I get comments everyday from people who tell me I have such beautiful eyelashes. The women there are so nice.
Don’t be scared of getting them done, it’s very relaxing, doesn’t hurt a bit and often times I almost fall asleep. They also give you a foot and hand massage.
The only thing I will warn is that you may become OBSESSED. It kinda sucks going back to having real normal lashes if you stop getting them done. But I think it’s worth it. You can even do them once in a while if you want for a special occasion like headshots or a big event where you wanna look great.
Also it cuts my makeup time in half because you already look great and barley need any eye makeup!

Don’t expect some fancy spa when you walk into Ebenezer. The space is nothing special, just a small waiting area and another small room with massage tables. There is zero privacy and it gets a tad stuffy with all of the lamps, but you definitely walk out with sexy lashes at a great price. I’ve been to Ebenezer around 6 or 7 times and have always loved the results.
If you’ve never gotten lashes done, here’s a small heads up. Wear something comfortable b/​c you’ll be laying on a table with your eyelids taped shut, with a heat lamp beaming down on your face for an hour. The last time I was there, I had a mini panic attack. Yes, I’m a weirdo, but that’s a long time to sit still.

I love this place I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to have that doe eyed look.
I love the fact that your very first time they only put the lash length a little longer than your natural lashes so your not overwhelmed. Afther that you can go longer and fuller.

I never write reviews but wanted to take a moment to do so for Ebenezer. I have been around to quite a few places that offer this service and I must say Ebenezer is exceptional.
You simply cannot beat them when you take many factors into consideration, including location, cost, friendly staff, atmosphere, and of course –THE FINAL OUTCOME OF SERVICE PERFORMED.
I used to go to a VERY popular young lady in the city for my lashes. They never looked better than when I went to Ebenezer. The only difference is I was spending to 2 – 3 times MORE.
Ebenezer is the place to go. Period.

I have been a happy and faithful Ebenezer client for over two years.
My eyelashes are long, soft, and look natural. I LOVE them! I have not ever had a problem with eyelashes falling out or with any other possible irritation. I am a pretty active person and sweat nor water (from showering or swimming) has affected the eyelashes whatsoever.
The location itself is beautiful and I have come to care greatly for the staff as they are very kind, courteous and friendly from the moment I walk in until the moment I walk out.
The process itself is relaxing and actually quite comfortable. Throughout the hour of the eyes being closed, the lady working on the eyelashes is gentle and very quiet. There is soft relaxing music playing the background. At some point of the process, there is a wonderful foot and hand massage. Personally, the experience is a biweekly relaxation hour I look forward to. I walk out looking and feeling great!
I highly recommend Ebenezer Eyelash’s 7^th Avenue Location.

I used to go to this place at least once a month. The service was great and the price hard to beat. But now they have so many customers it feels like a factory.
Also, you can’t request a particular person so its the luck of the draw if you get someone who is good. They also, don’t spend much time telling you which one will be the best option for you.
If you want fast and efficient this is a good place, but don’t have high expectations for a good experience everytime.

The don’t accept credit cards, so please remember to bring cash. And please tip well. This is (by far) the cheapest place in the city to get your eyelashes extended. The ladies work very hard there.

Unbelievable! I went today for the first time. It has a bizarre energy… very step ford wife-​ish. You definitely feel as if you’re on a conveyor belt as all of the staff members buzz around you, waiting their turn to help or to do something for you. Which I think is great, but having one girl (try to) take my purse, while another girl take my umbrella, while I’m being taken to see other clients as they lay corpse-​like, is a bit much for me.
When I saw my naked looking eyelashes once they were done, I couldn’t believe my eyes. Omg, the profile was unbelievable! I could see where all of the lashes began. Long story short, I pointed it out to the owner, told her I was unhappy and she blamed the look of the fake lashes on the fact that my natural lashes were curly… crickets
She went on to tell me that they would not add more lashes bc I received 90. BULL CRAP. how do I know? Bc when I went around the corner to WINK, who had to give me an additional 30 lashes, told me that ‘now’ I have around 100 lashes. I will share my wink review separately.
I will never go back to ebenezer Scrooge. I wouldn’t leave my contact info for 2 week appointment reminders and I stopped her in mid slide when she attempted to give their membership card.

My first experience at eyelash extensions was here in NY with Meredith C. and I absofreakinlutely loved it. Bat your pretty eyelashes, ladies, they are about to get LONG!

Yes, it really is that serious. You walk in, honestly, not knowing what to expect but the important thing is you walk out happier than you ever thought you could be. You look in the mirror and it’s you, only PRETTIER. Girl, who doesn’t wanna feel that way?
If you can sit through 60 minutes of quiet and silence, while a nice Korean lady carefully attaches each extension of hair onto each one of your little eyelashes, well then, be prepared for the lashes of your life. It’s worth it — $ 90 for approximately 90 lashes on EACH EYE! Fabulousness, not just your lashes but YOU.
