Dimitry Goncharov, DO

Awesome doctor! Visited the manhattan office today where EVERYBODY was so friendly. Dr. Goncharov was thorough, efficient, and made sure all my questions/​concerns were answered. My only issue with my appointment was the long wait time but I am hoping it was just a bad day timing wise and I won’t have to wait an hour next time. Seriously ladies, go to him.

I’ve been on the hunt for a Brooklyn GYN since moving here 6 months ago. Dr. Goncharov was knowledgable, warm, and a good listener. His access to my medical records via «the portal» also made his office work more efficiently than I’ve seen other offices with more rudimentary record keeping. The nurses were kind and competent, and I was seen within 10 minutes of arriving. (It helped that I’d done pre-​check in through ZocDoc). I saw the doctor immediately after speaking with the nurse practitioner. Dr. Goncharov has excellent bedside manner and asked thoughtful questions to get a full picture of my history. In 5 minutes he was able to tell me more about some of my concerns than my lifelong OB-​GYN. He also spent 5 minutes debriefing me in his office after the appointment and taking another thorough look at my file to ensure all was covered. I felt like he really cared and understood the importance of sitting across a table to speak to a patient at the end of a visit.

The best gyn in the city, hands down. It is rare these days to find a doctor, particularly an OB/​Gyn, that can fit you in for an appointment (none of that «we have an opening in six months» crap), sees you on time (no waiting around), fully listens to your concerns, answers not only all of your questions and concerns but also and addresses them without feeling intimidated or rushed. He takes so many different types of insurance and gives you many options. I have recommended him to all of my friends and will continue to do so.

I have only been here once so far — but I honestly don’t think I could have picked a better doctor. I really felt like he spent an adequate amount of time with me, listened to all my concerns and explained all the solutions thoroughly. I’m going back in a few weeks to follow up to my first appointment and I’m actually looking forward to it!

I am a new mom of 3 days to a beautiful baby boy and am so thankful to Dr Goncharov for all that he did to make my pregnancy and delivery as smooth as possible. From the beginning, he spent so much time explaining everything and providing a lot of value added information about what was going on and next steps. For first time parents, this was greatly needed and appreciated. We felt very comfortable and confident during the pregnancy because of his calm and informative style.
At the end of the day, the labor is what I was most worried about and having the right doctor that you trust and handles any situation that comes up is what’s most important. Things didn’t happen in the most ideal way for me as I was overdue, not dilating despite my water breaking, etc. Dr. Goncharov was with me every step of the way and even stayed over in the hospital the night of the delivery to ensure he was monitoring mine and babies progress. I don’t know many doctors that would have that type of commitment towards their patients. I truly believe other doctors would have been quick to do a c-​section or not be as patient as Dr Goncharov was with my delivery. I was so scared about the pushing and hard labor you hear about but he was so calm and gave such awesome breathing and pushing guidance that my son was out in no time with minimal discomfort. Truly amazing. It was way less difficult and painful than I imagined. And the doctor had a lot to do with that. I’m very thankful and appreciative for all that he did for me and my husband. And now we have a healthy baby!

Dr. Goncharov is a great doctor. He made me feel very comfortable, was very attentive, gave great explanations and went the extra mile for me with his assessment. He’s also very well informed, gives great advice and is simply an amazing doctor.

After moving back to Brooklyn from Virginia I thought I left the best GYN in Virginia. I found out I was pregnant 5months after moving back to Brooklyn. I love my GYN I even flew to Virginia for him to confirm the pregnancy. Knowing that was my last visit I started to ask my friends for recommendations for a GYN in Brooklyn, they recommended a few good Drs but I decided to do some research on my own.
I found Dr. Dimitry on Unilocal,he didn’t have this much review but I was drawn to him and I decided to give it a go. My first visit to the office I had my guard up. I was pregnant and wanted the best Dr for myself as well as my baby. The wait at the office was not long, the staff is ok lol some of the girls are sweet and some are ok. Meeting with Dr. Dimitry for the first time he broke every barrier I had up. He was very patient, showed a lot of compassion, and answered every question my husband and I had. He provided us with his personal phone number so I could reach him whenever I had a concern and this guy answered every time I called and helped me through what was going on! I’ve never met a dr like him.
My husband and I are truly blessed! We had our beautiful daughter in February and Dr. Di did an awesome job with delivery! I had to have an emergency C section and he came in and explained everything to us. After the birth he came and visited us while our daughter was still ICU, we didn’t know what was going on as the hospital told us limited information and Dr. Dimitry took the time out to call the head Dr and update us on everything! I definitely felt like we had a friend, a Good Samaritan! He showed up at the right time and brought such a calm to our storm! Thanks Dr. Di!

Dr. Dimitry Goncharov by far is the best OB/​GYN. Dr. Goncharov was with me every step of the way during my first pregnancy with my beautiful baby girl Mansa. I have never met a Doctor who tends to his patients all hours of the day. I had a very smooth pregnancy due to Doctor Goncharov’s patience with me and his awesome care for me. His office in the Kings Highway area is very clean, comfortable and makes you feel like you are the only patient at the time. The staff at this office was sooo nice, respectable and made me feel as if I was right at home. I totally recommend anyone who is young and pregnant and scared to give birth to go to Dr. Goncharov. He will reassure you that you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

Words cannot express my appreciation for dr Goncharov. Dr Goncharov could not have made the birth of my first child any better of an experience. He really goes the extra mile to create a relationship with his patients and makes himself very available. You will never be in the dark about what’s going on with your pregnancy and what is happening every step of the way during the actual birth itself. Dr Goncharov kept me calm and well informed about everything that was going on during my daughters birth and even came to chat during my induction for over 30 min. My husband and I really felt like we were speaking to a friend and felt so comfortable with him throughout all of our visits. I plan on using Dr. Goncharov for every one of my future births as well as regular gynecology check ups.

Dr. Goncharov is a fantastic dr., he made the whole experience of having our first child a true delight. The office is a little scattered and at times the wait in the evening can be a bit long but Dr. Goncharov makes it worth it! He takes time to answer your questions at every appointment, his follow up is very quick, and he responds to emails and phone calls very quickly. When it came time for my son being born the city was under state of emergency due to the snow storm, but Dr. Goncharov still made his way to the hospital and was there every step of the way. He explained every detail to me so there were no surprises and it made me feel very relaxed. I am so happy we found him as our Dr. and I highly recommend checking him out if you are searching!!!

I’ve only had one visit with Dr. Goncharov, but it was an above satisfactory experience. He is professional without being standoffish and he seems very knowledgeable. I feel extremely comfortable with him so far.

Doctor G is by far one of the best obgy’s iv had the pleasure of meeting. He answered all of my questions and treated me with such kindness and compassion. I went to Dr. G on a friend recommendation just to get a check up and make sure everything was ok with my iud. My simple visit lead me to my new doctor! If you are seeking a laid back comprehensive obgyn then doctor g is your guy!

I love Dr. G. I found him somehow a while back because my last GYN completely vanished. No one knows what happened to him or his office LoL. Anywayz this doctor is amazing, thorough, and totally awesome. Us women need thorough cuz if something is missed then that’s a big uh oh. I travel from sunny south carolina just to see him. He’s friggin worth it, and my health is worth it. My health is not something I mess with. I always go to the best and in the GYN field Dr. G is the best. Now of course the reception area can work on there manners from time to time but I haven’t had any serious issues with the front desk. Due to the VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY Unprofessional receptionist I spent almost an hour in the freezing December cold because none of the receptionist. not one out of the 3 that I spoke to could tell me the correct address of the clinic. How do you work someplace and not know the address?
I got the number to this place from a friend and made the appointment via the phone. I asked the receptionist for the address and she told me that she couldn’t tell me… So I said, «how am I going to be able to make my appointment if I don’t know the address?» She then said «It’s 1766 Kings highway» So the day of my appointment I arrive to the address at 3:00pm (my appointment was at 3:15). I didn’t see a clinic in sight, I call the clinic and a woman with a very heavy accent tells me that the address is «1766 East Ralph ave» I asked her for directions and she said walk up several blocks to Ralph ave and take the bus down to the clinic. I mapped the address and grabbed a bus to 1766 East Ralph ave, When I get there I again do not see a clinic, I call back again, Its now 3:30 and yet another receptionists tells me that the address is incorrect and I need to head to 1766 E 12^th street.
At this point, I am freezing and furious, 3 times I was given different directions. When I spoke to the 3^rd receptionist she told me that it was my fault because I must have heard wrong and that the doctor would be leaving the office and 4pm and wouldn’t be able to see me. I asked to speak to the doctor to figure out what the heck was going on, why no one could give me the correct address and to see if he could squeeze me in or figure out something but the receptionist said that he was with a client even though it was my appointment time.
It was such a waste of time. One thing that I know for a fact is that good clinics and hospitals have amazing people that work for them. I would never trust a doctor with my woman’s health that would allow any of the fools that I spoke to over the phone to work for them, (people who don’t even know basic things like the address they come to everyday to work). They were rude and unprofessional.
Do not waste your time coming here.

I am a new patient and I couldnt be happier ! Dr Goncharov has a very comforting style and very professional bedside manner, his staff is very friendly and helpful as well, I am very glad to have found him !

Amazing from start to finish. For starters i am not an easily pleased person and Dr. Goncharov was my third OB. I switched twice during pregnancy and found him at 32 weeks. In terms of office visits they were quick and painless. He spent a lot of additonal time with me checking in with my concerns and listening to me as not only a patient but treating me like a person. When it came time to deliver everything was super smooth. I loved the hospital, and he met me there right away. During the entire time he was genuinely present to both my physical and emotional endeavors. He checked up on me constantly and made jokes and brought an overral confident and humble attitude everytime he came in. I couldnt ask for a better experience. I wouldnt change a single thing about him. Including the fact hes the best dressed doctor i;ve ever met :)
Eternally grateful to him for making my experience so easy and swift. I would hands down recommend him to anyone looking for an Ob for pregnancy or gynecology!
