One stop shop for all your breakfast/lunch needs. Devon and Blakely is it great spot if you work in the immediate area or are looking to pick something up very quickly and that is pretty good. I usually get a breakfast platter of bacon, cheese, eggs, tomatoes for $ 5.25 which is a good deal and just any random Sandwich I am in the mood for. All the sandwhich are good and you’ll be satisfied but you will not be blown away by them. I would not go out of my way to come here but since I work around here it’s a convenient spot to go to. In short: — good to grab a pre made sandwich — ok food — perfect to go to if you work or live in the area

All of the cashiers for the bagels and soup have an attitude. If you ask for tomatoes on a bagel they act as if you are asking for plutonium and try to pretend the don’t understand you. They scream«next» at you like you are cattle at a ranch. I’m so done with them. Their food is mediocre at best.

Overpriced, indifferent employees and food that can only be described as mediocre and bland at best. Take the 2 minute walk to Brookfield Eats and get something else…

My go-to place in my building. Is it overpriced? Yes. Is it fresh and convenient? For the days I don’t eat breakfast at home, their oatmeal is good. You can add unlimited toppings. I go for bananas, raisins and brown sugar. The same goes for their soups. As many toppings as you can fit. They have normal fixings like cheese, and croutons. But also, there are green onions! I’d recommend putting those in any soup/chili. Their turkey chili is a great option. Their salad bar is the main draw. Expect the line to be out the door during lunchtime. The salads come in two sizes, and you pick your toppings and the mix it up for you. It’s served with a slice of bread. While hudson eats a few buildings over may be more exciting and have more varied options, Devon and Blakey is still convenient and good

The one star is for the actual food which is just ok. The customer service — there’s a reason why everyone complains about them. Placed an order only to have the delivery guy try his best not to have to come up. Good job delivery guy who doesn’t want to deliver. Tried calling the main number here and had to talk to the rudest most dismissive woman ever. Get over your sad high horse. Terrible.

Typical(expensive) salad place in the city. For a small salad, just having the leaves and the container starts you off at $ 3.50. Every veggie you dump in will run you .50 cents a selection and protein will run you $ 1-$ 2 depending on your selection. They give you a free slice of bread when you check out.

Food is decent, customer assistance is atrocious, especially the cashier staff. They’re the most unfriendly mean spirited people I think I’ve ever encountered. Never a hello, or thank you always talking to one another. Management please get some new cashiers!

Lines OUTTHEDOOR after 11:30AM, all the good ‘normal’ soups are gone by then as well or scraping bottom of soup container. Today I treated myself, or so I thought, to a small side of shrimp salad — it was awful! You can smell the shrimp when you open the little plastic container and when tasting you can tell they were frozen because they were very very rubbery and squishy! Not what I expect for overpriced food. Yesterday got the fresh mozzarella, tomato and basil on a ficelle roll — the cheese was not fresh mozzarella, but very salty. The tomatoes were almost pink — the basil was the only thing on the money but at 7.50 + tax for the sandwich, I think I should expect a bit more!!!

Never will return, not even out of desperation. If what you order isn’t listed on the wall you are subject to whatever price they want to charge you. Went in for BEC, which had always been around $ 4.60 with taxes, and they tried to charge me almost $ 7! Screw you. They fought me on it. I left it on the counter and told them I would never go back. They are super expensive and not courtious. Stay away from them.

This is a nice last ditch effort if you need something quick. Salads are fine, but way over priced. Service is EXTREMELY rude. I don’t think a «thank you» has ever been uttered in this establishment. I can’t wait for all the other food options to open in Fall of 2013 so this place’s business tanks. Good riddance.

They have a wonderful sandwich/wrap selection along with a «make your own». They have at least 10 different soups(tomato bisque is my ultimate favorite) and of course they got«make-your-own-salads.» Now the new hot thing in NYC is chopped salads as I’ve mentioned. The salad’s here are DELICIOUS! This particular place has a peanut sauce which is to die for. I grabbed a salad today and this time picked the spicy chicken which made for a super hot salad mixed with the peanut sauce. YUM!

I come to Devon and Blakely out of necessity and convenience, since its down stairs from my office. Out of everything they serve the only thing I don’t mind is their soups, which are usually pretty awesome. I personally don’t love their salads, and don’t love most of their sandwiches They are definitely over priced for the quality of their food. A sandwich with no sides or anything should by no means cost 8 bucks I like the location at 1WFC a bit better then this one, just the atmosphere inside.

D&B gets 3 stars for their salad bar. I like their selection of ingredients and I’ve gotten to know some of the prep guys. If you’re a first timer, just make sure that you know what you want in your salad before you get to the counter. It moves things along. Also, the cashiers can be quite brash and make it seem like«NEXT!» is their favorite word.

Oh Devon. You are one of the many craptastic food places in WFC. However, you are one of the better ones. But thats not saying much. When you’re busy, you’re crazy busy. line starts outside at the next restaurant. But such a variety! So many sandwiches, sides, salads, sweets, and soups. Why cant you heat up the food properly? Oh wait, there’s a million people asking for food. Even with two locations in WFC, you guys are too crowded. But thats a testament to how good you guys are!(Relatively speaking) Oh yeas, I had their spicy crab soup once. and only once. Why? Let’s say I spent the rest of the day on a porcelain throne. And it felt like the throne was on fire. Pros: Fast Sandwiches that are pretty tasty! Decent sides and yummy soups! Oh yes! Great bread! Cons: Yummy soup, but FOODPOISONING. No breakfast besides oatmeal? When you ask for a warm sandwich, you expect it to be warm through and through. Not cold in the center. Salad lines are WAYTOOLONG and very expensive. 4 stars for beating out all the other junk at WFC.

This is worth 3.5 stars, but sorry, can’t round this up to 4. Soups are pretty good, and I’m actually a fan of the spicy/cajun chicken. It comes on some good, crispy bread, but when you ask them to heat it and add cheese, the meat inside the sandwich is still cold and cheese not melted at all.

The proximity to the office is what brought me here. I stopped in for breakfast and ordered oatmeal. It was edible but could be a lot better — mine was gummy and way too thick. I wish they had a more diverse topping selection as well. I went back for lunch and ordered a turkey wrap — it hit the spot and was just the right amount of food. The salad station looked mighty good(there was a long line but it moved quickly). Decent place to grab a quick bite but nothing spectacular.

chopped salad spinach, onions, mushrooms, green peppers, corn, sprouts, tomatoes, edamame, broccoli, grilled chicken, asian sesame ginger dressing all for less than $ 8 winding, long intimidating line but this is NYC. workers move fast and efficiently so you’re in and out in about 10 minutes. salad priced on ingredients chosen tossed and chopped if you please. nothing spectacular but considering my soft spot for NY’s chopped salads it’s no surprise I can enjoy this every day if I lived here.

The longest effing line ever when lunch rolls around and salad is beckoning. Literally it stretches into the lobby of the AmEx tower. However! these guys are LIGHTNING quick! Salad is pay-per-ingredient, or you can get stuff from the deli case, like pre-made sandwiches and salads. They also have like 10+ soups every day too. It’s expensive, but so is every where around here. I’d rather go to Cosi, much less frantic. Or just go to Shake Shack and screw the salad.

I literally live down the street from the World Financial Center, so why does a Seamless Web lunch order from Devon and Blakely take an hour(!) to arrive at my door? Not many people have that kind of latitude when it comes to taking lunch, so I fail to understand their laxness. I went with a turkey and bacon panini($ 6.95) as well as a large Italian wedding soup($ 4.50). The panini was not especially good, and it was pretty small. Instead of using regular bread like any other sandwich shop, they decided to use pita which made the sandwich dry and tasteless. The turkey added no flavor, and the bacon was chopped up into tiny squares which added grease, but not flavor to the sandwich. Pass. The soup on the other hand was considerably better. The broth actually had flavor, and there was plenty of acini de pepe and meatballs. Additionally, it was served with two thick slices of gourmet bread which was actually tasty. A tale of two different sandwich shops, if you will. Given the ridiculously long wait time and less than inspiring sandwich, I am not inclined to order here again, good soup or not. 2.5 stars.

So — on the Breakfast front — you know, when you are in a hurry, rushing into the office and hope to elicit a simple New York staple — a Speedy Bagel & Coffee … well unfortunately not at Devon & Blakely 1WFC. The bagel process is painfully disorganized — orders are never processed efficiently, correctly or with speed. I keep on going back thinking they will improve — but today seeing the supervisor watching on just as confused, set in my mind that its time to return to the coffee cart outside. If you walk over to the Devon & Blakely at 3WFC they have a process — two people — it damn well works. Here, no. If you want to be late to work and arrive with elevated blood pressure then 1WFC location may be just for you — for me, I would rather skewer my foot with a shard of glass.
