John recently mounted my TV and installed vertical blinds on my large living room window. He is extremely responsive to emails and he was able to fit me in the next day for a fair price.
When he arrived, he was courteous, professional, and did a great job. He made every effort to ensure the job was done to my satisfaction. John took the time demonstrate different features of each product, and saved the instructions and extra hardware for me should I need them in the future. Before leaving, he even vacuumed up the dust that the drill created.
I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of a handyman.

From the start it was clear that he had significant experience and was able to assemble my IKEA bed which had lots of moving parts. John was also very flexible regarding timing and was a thorough professional — I felt comfortable with him working in my apt while I was away at work. He went out of his way to keep the apt clean post assembly and also helped put together certain small items like my vacuum cleaner free of charge. Our family recently had the pleasure to work with John of Design-​N-​Assembly when our daughter relocated to New York with under a 3-​week lead time. John’s professionalism, patience, flexibility, responsiveness and follow through took all of the stress and legwork out of an extremely hectic time for us and made the relocation seamless. It was truly one-​stop shopping as he offered reasonable cost effective solutions to outfit her apartment every step of the way. John ordered the furniture in person for us, arranged for and accepted delivery, assembled and set up the furniture in the apartment, and disposed of all the associated boxes and trash. He also picked up and mounted the tv and even recommended, picked up and installed a tv cord solution. He stayed in touch with us during the entire process even sending pictures and making suggestions during set up. We were able to maximize a small living space by following his recommendations relieving any apprehension we had about making the space work. It is stylish, efficient, uncluttered and comfortable.

John even spoke to the building superintendent to have a couple of things taken care of in the apartment prior to our arrival; now that is service! He greeted us at the apartment to welcome us to New York and even made some suggestions for the apartment going forward that were spot on so we will definitely be teaming up with him again.

John went the extra mile on this job but his services include something you cannot place a value on and that is peace of mind. It brought us great comfort to know that our daughter could come home to a place that feels like home. Most of all she could concentrate on getting acclimated to her new job and new neighborhood.

My daughter recently moved to New York and purchased furniture that needed to be assembled. We had gotten John’s information from her realtor. He was very responsive to email and gave us specifics on information for mounting a TV on the wall. He wanted to make sure we purchased the right mounting and also the correct cables. He set up an appointment and arrived exactly as he said he would. He spent quite a bit of time helping us move around things through out the apartment, and actually did way more then we had asked him to do. He assembled the bed and made us aware that the dresser purchased did not come with all of the correct parts (something that would have taken us alot of time to figure out). He attached the TV to the wall and went to great effort to make sure that any holes he put into the wall were fixed and painted. He was patient and helpful with anything he was asked to do. I know that he is also great with space and design solutions, though we did not need his help on this. Would highly recommend him and you can be sure he will show up right on time and stay as long as it takes to get the job finished. So great to know that if she should need any help in the future, he will be available.

John from DNA was a life saver. During my last minute move to NYC followed by an intense closet and apartment size downgrade, panic mode set in.
