Dr. Shafer’s practice is top notch without breaking the budget.
I went to see Dr. Shafer after buying a Gilt City voucher for Botox. They were quite backed up, so I had to wait a while for my appt but the staff was very apologetic and even gave me a couple goodies to make up for it.
Dr. Shafer was so friendly and informative — and he administered the Botox himself, not an assistant. This is not always the case. I also asked him about a few other concerns I had and he (& his staff) were very helpful, giving me info without being the least bit pushy. My forehead is now wrinkle free and I’ll be returning soon for a Hydrafacial.
If you want a cosmetic practice where the work is quality and the people — doctor, tech, receptionist, and facialist — are all super cool, this is your spot!

I hate writing reviews but Dr. Shafer and his staff deserve one. From start to finish, I am thrilled with my experience here. I had never had any cosmetic work done before and was just getting my lips plumped up a bit, but was incredibly nervous. This team brought A-​list bedside manner from the moment I walked in the door. On top of getting the royal treatment in hospitality and having a gorgeous facility, I am beyond thrilled with the results of my procedure. I was a tad late but they were incredibly accommodating and had me in and out of there in 30 minutes tops without leaving me feeling rushed or like I had any questions left unanswered. I feel totally safe in Dr. Shafer’s hands and will return to take advantage of the myriad of services he and his team offer.

Dr. Shafer is amazing! I came in for a bellybutton scar revision and he was extremely patient and kind to me. During my first visit, we spoke at length about the best way to get the results I wanted. My procedure appointment was booked the very next week. My skin complexion is olive so I have a history of hyper-​pigmentation and scarring, Dr. Shafer and his front desk staff were all extremely patient with me so I could understand what steps needed to be taken in order for my body to heal — I am very happy with the results! Highly recommend this office.

Fast, on time, personable. First time here, staff was courteous, office is beautiful and the exam room has a view of Manhattan??? Great place
