Specialties
Eat. Drink. Sport. At Dark Horse, a neighborhood restaurant and upscale sports bar in the heart of New York’s TriBeCa/FiDi area, we have created an atmosphere to cater to all that walk through our door. Our friendly staff and relaxed ambience will make you feel like we’re old friends with 20 flat screen TVs, 6 of which are located in private booths, and delicious food made to order.
When opening Dark Horse, we set out to craft a simple, American style menu with a fancy gourmet twist. Some of our staples are the «drunken Ribeye,» our delicious homemade Dark Horse burgers and our house smoked baby back ribs– just to name a few. Realizing that the way forward is craft beer, we installed a state of the art draft beer system serving 24 draft and 20 bottled beers from around the globe. On to cocktails, we produced a cocktail list using only the freshest ingredients to suit all pallets.
We invite you to visit our website for full menus, as well as more information on our private function room that can accommodate up to 120 people, whether it be a buffet style or a sit down dinner. From everyone here, we look forward to seeing you soon at Dark Horse– where you «enter as a customer, leave as a friend.»

«Dark Horse» is a term used to describe a little known person or thing that emerges to prominence. The underdog that comes through to prosper, which is what we aim to be. Here at Dark Horse our aim is to give our customers the best experience possible by providing great friendly service, quality and tasty food accompanied with a wide range of beers, cocktails and wine to match. Be sure to stop in and see how we’re doing. We look forward to showing you why customers from around New York are making Dark Horse their go-to spot.
Meet the Business Owner
Gavin D.
Business Owner
Coming from Ireland I grew up in the bar business. My family owned a bar in the village that we grew up in for generations, so ever since I could see over the bar I was pouring pints. It was from an early age I realized that this was the business I wanted to be in. After attending college for «hospitality and catering management» I spent a few years working in some great places gaining some valuable knowledge and experience. Although I was learning a lot, I wanted more. So it was then I decided that New York was where I wanted to go. So 8 years of bartending in New York heightening my skills we decided that it was time to open our own place. So now I bring you Dark Horse.
