Absolutely love the pastry and coffee deal. I got a delicious apple pastry and coffee for $ 3.50. So worth. The red velvet cupcake was also extremely sweet and tasty. Great place overall.

I love crumbs. perfect cupcakes and great flavors. great service at this location. love the peanut butter cup, cookie dough, red velvet and chocolate brownie. and you pretty much cannot go wrong.

My beautiful wife and I stumbled across this gem during a weekend visit to NY. We are cupcake connoisseurs and have known good cupcakes across the United States. Carrot cake for me, red velvet for her. People, I’m not exaggerating when I say we walked in and out within 3 min with 4 cupcakes because we knew that we would be back and that we would buy way too many if we kept shopping longer. We got the carrot cake, cookie dough, salted caramel and cookies & cream. They were amazing. It’s hard to describe the experience in words since I only have a high school diploma from a texas alternative school but if you can imagine being an inmate on death row about to be executed, trust me when I say that one of these cupcakes WILL be the right choice for your last meal. Even though you’re probably going to hell for whatever crime you committed to get in that position, you will experience heaven if only for a moment eating that cupcake. You’re welcome.

Went here today, got four cupcakes. The squiggle, cookie dough, birthday and an easter one… VERY DISAPPOINTED!
The squiggle cupcake USED to taste just like the hostess one, but now its very dry! Has sugary white icing on top with a hard chocolate icing over and some light brown cream on inside, all tasted horrible! It used to be a melted smooth chocolate on top and the white cream filling inside just like the hostess… But today very different! All cupcakes were very dry, the taste was off, kinda like tasting fake sugar!
4 cupcakes for 18 $, not worth it any more! If they were going to keep stores open they should of kept it to how everything once was. Now with the changes I highly doubt it will be nearly as popular as it once was!
My love for crumbs is officially over! As I do not see my self returning!
Safe your money and bake some better cupcakes at home that will be moist and flavorful!

I was disappointed when most of the Crumbs locations closed, but glad to see that some survived!
The cupcakes don’t have that «homemade» feeling but they’re still very good. My favorite is the cookie dough cupcake — thick frosting (not too soft), cookie on top, and a bit of chocolate filling inside. They have huge cupcakes, regular-​sized cupcakes and mini cupcakes. This location also offers discounts sometimes — they’ll put a sign up. I got one for $ 3.99, which was about a .50 savings. They also sometimes have happy hour deals. It seems like sometimes they have lots of cupcakes and sometimes they run out of the good flavors.
It doesn’t seem like this place is all that well organized or a place to hang out, but if you want to pop in for a cupcake or two, I would recommend.

Pretty good cupcakes. I got the mini’s that ended up being on sale because they could not sell it by a certain time that day. All were really good! I loved the red velvet, birthday cake, and cookies and cream! The service was really good when I came in too. Not a long wait at all.

The vanilla raspberry cupcake was super — the the center and frosting — I could eat all day! The sugar cookies were pretty good — a bit crunchy. The red velvet cake pop was a bit over priced but still tasty.

I don’t understand the hype about this place at all. The prices are a bit high but all things considered, so is everything in NYC. However, the cupcakes are far from the best I have ever had & although I am no baker, I have made cupcakes more moist & delectable. I had a gift certificate for winning a role play game at an educational workshop (yes, I am histrionic to the core) & stopped in to get a cupcake for myself & a friend & chose the chocolate peanut butter cupcake. Listen, it’s not like we didn’t eat them, but they were simply just okay… certainly nothing to rave about. I also chose a chocolate chip M & M cookie & it was so incredibly stale & hard. Lame. I’ll stick to my favorite bakery in Long Island, Dortoni’s for all things dessert from now on.

Came here today during my lunch break to pick-​up some of my favorite cupcakes from Crumbs Bakery on Broad St. But first, just a recap. The last time I was here (approximately two weeks ago) decided to show my gratitude and appreciation to some wonderful nurses for conscientiously caring for my sister who had suffered a serious medical condition called «aortic dissection» by bringing them some assorted cupcakes from Crumbs. I picked-​up about 2 dozen of the assorted mini-​cupcakes for the nurses and bought four separate large cupcakes for my mom. It was my mom’s first introduction to Crumbs (she’s a Junior’s cheese cake type). She commented that the cupcakes were not fresh and they tasted outdated (so much for first impression). Considering that I spent over $ 55+ I would think the cupcakes would meet the same high standards that Crumbs is known for since 2008.
To my dismay, the cupcakes I purchased today indeed tasted hard, stale and old. I’ve supported Crumbs since their very inception into the market and to be so disappointed — smh. I used to purchase cupcakes from the store on 42^nd street and Bryant Park-​NYC on a regular basis. The cupcakes then were always fresh, moist and exceptionally delicious. However, today I went back to purchase two cupcakes during my lunch break (from the Broad St location) just to prove my recent experiences here were flukes. But to my disappointment, I discovered that this was fast becoming a trend. The cupcakes tasted stale; out of date, fusty, they looked old and moreover they crumbled easily when you eat them with a fork (yes, I eat my Crumbs cupcakes with a fork). Luckily I only spent $ 9+ this time around for two fetid cupcakes. I will not be supporting Crumbs in the future, until they go back to the drawing board. I just hope the nurses that cared for my sister had a better experience with their cupcakes than I did, as I can only imagine the disappointment on their faces. «yyyiiikeees»

Someone had brought a cake over to our place and it was actually pretty decent. It didn’t have any unique flavors, just chocolate cake and chocolate frosting — but it was super moist. Imagine the cake you get from a mix you buy from the supermarket… not as bad as I was expecting considering it was from Crumbs.

Horrible horrible experience bcs of a counter gal. The sweet place just became a bitter end due to her rudeness n impatience attitude. The lemonade we bought was so diluted. Totally put off by the service. When asking for suggestions for 6pack cupcake, she cut me off saying they Don have it when tons of it were on the shelf. Venting frustrations bcs of the shop’s airconditioning is not working does not justify rudeness to customers!

Service…, very impatient to cash us out… not very friendly… shld work as a security guard instead

I’ve been to Crumbs on numerous occasions. It’s close to my job and it’s always great to stop in and grab a cupcake before I head home after work. The staff is friendly and helpful. I’d say Crumbs is sort of a dessert boutique. Thanks to Marcus Lemonis for keeping the business afloat.
As far as the cupcakes themselves are concerned; most times they are fresh and moist. There was one time where my cupcake was a bit dry; which is the only reason why I didn’t rate it 5 stars. My favorite Crumbs cupcake was the special Sex in the City Cosmopolitan cupcake from six years ago. That cupcake was made up of vanilla cake, lime flavored cream cheese frosting, hot pink granulated sugar for a nice little crunch, and a strawberry cream filling in the center.
Their regular menu of cupcakes is filled with many delightful treats. From devil’s food to red velvet to lemon… you can’t go wrong.

Today my boyfriend & I spontaneously decided to come here for a cupcake. When we arrived the associates pretended as if we weren’t even standing there. We were not greeted or anything. When I decided on a cupcake, the associate behind the counter rudely asked, «You know what you want?» After she just put my cupcake in a container & didn’t even bother to ask if I would like anything else. I felt her demeanor was inappropriate & uncalled for, since she’s working in the customer service field.

I use Crumbs all the time for birthday work events. This one especially because it’s close to my office.
I stopped in this morning to buy some cupcakes for a coworker’s birthday. I walked in the store to bare shelves and asked to order cupcakes. «Ugh uh, come back at 11:00,» was the response I received.
It’s 9:30, your store is open, you specialize in cupcakes and you have no cupcakes and you were rude.
I will not be returning to this location.

Mmm who doesn’t love crumbs?! This little cupcake shop has a big selection of fantastic cupcakes. They are a bit big so it’s a great dessert to share. I really love the big cupcake — cake that they make which is great for a party. Their desserts are a bit sweet, which isn’t something I’m a fan of but it’s no biggie.
This location is an in and out shop with no where to sit unfortunately. But such an enjoyable cupcake can eaten anywhere!

Typical Crumbs. Nothing special about this location. We all know the cupcakes are good, we all know the prices are not so good. I like the convenience of this location since it’s so close to my office. It’s good for a quick sugary treat or if it’s a coworker’s birthday and you didn’t have time to bake them cupcakes… Or you just dislike them.

Awesome ambience! Cool coffee concoctions. Red velvet latte? Really! Pure awesomeness! All of the cupcakes are just wonderfully de-​lish and beautiful and filled with some more awesomeness like cream or caramel or chocolate, oh my! Don’t make the same mistake that I made, though, and SHARE your cupcake. These babies are meant to be devoured without sharing.

Black and white milkshake cupcake — Tastes like marble bread! I like marble bread :) Could do without the circular chocolate sprinkles on it. Larger than your average cupcake as well. Was a little on the drier side though :(
Crumbnut with cinnamon sugar — Not quite a donut, not quite a croissant (which I think they were trying to emulate…). I guess I was expecting more of a croissant-​like flakiness with the flavor of a donut, but it was a bit bland and a bit dense for my taste. It might be better with the crème filling option?
I would come back to try their different cupcake flavors, since they seem really unique. But I wouldn’t order the two above again.

I don’t eat cupcakes very often, but this is a reliable choice if you need a little fix. The cake is always perfect. My only issue is too much icing (I know, most people love it). That’s how I discovered that the Blackout is the perfect choice for me — low icing factor, and very very chocolatey. It’s quite a treat.
Strangely enough, I often pop in here just to get a coffee. It’s Starbucks brew but when I’m in the mood for a simple misto (with Pike Place roast) and I don’t want to wait in a long line, this is where I go. The people who work here are so nice and they always make a perfect misto when I visit. And you are surrounded by bright, happy colors and cupcakes! What more can you ask for?

While the cupcake fad is waning, there are still many of us who like the idea of eating a single-​serving pastry now and then. Of course a Crumbs cupcake is a little large for a single serving if you’re paying attention to any nutritional guideline, but this is about fun, not common sense.
Once again, Crumbs played the role of Comfort Facilitator as I lugged a six pack from the location near my office to my Jersey home, all to make my daughter feel better after being laid up on her 16^th birthday by a broken tailbone. It seemed to work, but Crumbs always seems to work.
We went with a varied selection of traditional favorites and seasonal specials. I particularly liked the Pumpkin and the Hazelnut, the latter filled with Nutella. Cookie Dough is consistently good, and even the potentially boring Mudslide (it’s just chocolate and vanilla) was delicious.
So, if you’re cool with eating a baseball-​sized (or larger) portion of fat and carbs – and, well, who isn’t??? – then Crumbs is good place to start.

I love Crumbs and this location is consistently well run and nice to go to. Just in for a coffee today but everything looks yummy. They know have David Burke sandwiches which look pretty good too.
