chicken thighs OHMY! fries, Guys. this is a takeout and delivery joint. there is no seating. i’m rating this placed based on its chicken thighs and fries as a takeout joint. nothing else. the fried chicken thighs are legit and relatively low-priced. the skin is crispy not too greasy. meat was tender, a lil bit slick with fry oil, salted/seasoned and delicious. if you are trying to get your grease on — come here. i’m not a fan of the wing, breast, or drumsticks. daaaark meat yo. lol the fries are fried fried fried. and they soak up the taste of the chicken which is likely fried in the same oil. you get a nice heap of fries for a $ 1.75. i’ve had the burgers they are okay. i wouldn’t have them again unless you’re craving a burger and unwilling to hoof it over to a bodega or a McDonald’s in the EV(east village). this joint really doesn’t have much room to eat at except by standing at the windows. the rest of the place is all plastered with menu items. tons of items. mostly fried. you basically walk through the front door and you are at the counter to order. the space is relatively clean. it looks like they’ve done some renovations like the signage outside. i’ve read some other reviews for this Crown Fried Chicken… and i’m like: IT’S A HOODCHICKEN n WINGJOINT on Avenue D – what do you expect? table service. if you’re BOOJEE or if being around public housing makes you uncomfortable then go eat fried chicken elsewhere. Then you can safely pontificate about how great overpriced chicken is elsewhere bc you feel more comfy in paler surroundings. smh eeWhatIDidThere. think about who the target audiences of this place are… why on earth would they cater to your needs? dummies. the good news is CROWNFRIEDCHICKEN will thrive without you bc it is supported by locals. the staff is not that chatty, but they are friendly enough and move fast on the food. drops mic bc i two-hand the chicken here like a savage. i out. zzz

It’s a very small place. The chicken is edible enough for me to enjoy when I am in the mood for fried chicken. It is however, very dry, so condiments are highly recommended. They have a variety of meals offered and are fairly priced. But from what I have ordered, the taste of the fried chickens doesn’t have much difference. I usually order popcorn chicken with fries.

This is a pretty small place. You walk in, order, and take it out. Eating in is not an option in case you are looking for a place to sit down and enjoy your meal. As for the food, KFC definitely beats out CFC and I’m not even really a fan of KFC. The chicken is small and a bit on the dry side. They are pretty cheap with providing you with condiments and give you what they consider to be the bare minimum, which might not be enough for some people. The french fries are passable but seems like the kind you could get from the grocery yourself but fried with a professional fryer.

Hole in the wall. Half the«deals» are not actual deals and/or feature food they don’t even sell. Guy behind the counter was sweet though and the fried chicken is greasy, but delish!

I am astounded that I am the first person to write a review of this place. I am lucky enough to live almost directly above this restaurant and I’ve been there a number of times and have never been disappointed. I like this place so much that I actually don’t even just buy food there anymore. Not long ago, I was in the market for a new cell phone(my phone had been ruined when I was caught in the rain at a concert) and was able to buy a stolen blackberry at CFC for 40 bucks. Best chicken/stolen goods dispensary in NYC, hands down. The chicken is off the f*cking chain, and sometimes there are people on the street outside shouting or setting off fireworks(I only saw that once) or getting into some shenanigans that are fun to watch/get involved in while you eat your chicken.

You’ll be lucky if you get a decent bucket of fresh chicken, most of the time the chicken is dry or small and the mashed potatoes is very thick. The best is the hot wings its real good and the fries isnt bad at all.
