This is one of my favorite spots in the Union Square area for catching up with folks while grabbing a bite to eat. It’s very spacious so there’s plenty of seats and you’ll never feel rushed dining in. My favorite to get is the Margherita Chicken Flatbread. Soooo good!

I love this place!!! I can spend HOURS on my laptop doing some schoolwork, sending job resumes/cover letters, or just watching funny YouTube videos. The staff here are so friendly and courteous. This is indeed one of my places in New York that I can feel right at home. :-) They have to do something about the choppy wi-fi and the hot air. Keep up the good work, Management & Staff –Chris

Apparently you can’t get spinach instead of mixed greens. So the predefined order is all you have to choose from. Although thye have all the ingredients to make the item, they just won’t, no explanation. This is the only Cosi to do this, so obviously since this one is in the business of turning down business, its not worth it. Also, they don’t do smoothies anymore, but still have it on the menu.

Lapin and I came here recently for a quick dinner before heading to an event. The place wasn’t very busy when we arrived. There was two cashiers on staff were talking among themselves instead of taking our order. After trying to get their attention for a bit, they had an attitude and forgot to give us our receipt(we specifically asked for because when you dine in – sometimes they ask for it when they bring your order around) and our lemonade. The gentleman who bought our pizza over was a lot nicer. We got the shareable chicken pizza which was a good size(almost double the size of their single serving pizza). The chicken pizza which good but it wasn’t «great». Very decent given the cost.

I love me some Cosi. Had a hankering and hiked the half mile to quench it. Love the layout, design, location, spacious nature, et al. They have«waiter» service if you’re dining in, which is really nice. But the staff we encountered? No thank you, ma’am and/or sir! The register lady was not welcoming, couldn’t have been more put out by me asking which soups they had available today(it was borderline a scene from In Living Color), we stood in the area marked ‘Pick Up/To Go’ for a good five minutes, watching staff eating quinoa bowls and staring at us, before one told us we had to pick up at the other end(why neither cashier told either of us this when we said ‘to go’ we never quite figured out), and the melt I ordered was sliced through instead of the normal cut… so rather difficult to eat with everything sliding around. Won’t be back to this one.

Everything was good. Service was friendly, quick, the employees were very young but polite. The girls were a little loud but everyone was informative. There was plenty of seating for singles to large groups. The décor is modern and airy. I got a Greek salad and a margarita pizza. I DEVOURED the salad. The pizza tasted like it has Campbell’s ravioli sauce on it instead of marinara sauce and the cheese didn’t stick well the the pizza. It just came off in little chunks. I wish it was better. Al in all… I give it a three. I’m not sure I’d come back, except to get the salad. But I’m sure I won’t recommend this place to anyone for a quick personal pizza.

Cosi deserves 1 stars but I decided to give 2 because the counter person who took our order was super friendly and very personable. She was patient explaining the menu items I had questions about and did so with a genuine smile. I ordered the personal margherita pizza and it was terrible. The pizza was cold when they brought it to my table. The flat bread was soggy on the side with the sauce which was interesting since they didn’t put enough sauce to cover the whole thin crust to begin with. They also didn’t melt the cheese on my pizza, so it looked like mini marshmallows were dropped on the top as an after thought. It was just terrible all around. I understand that this isn’t a fancy place to eat since its core patron is geared towards NYU/New School kids but how hard can it be to produce a moderately tasty pizza with the cheese actually melted on top? It’s the most basic thing they can make and they screwed it up. Also the bathroom was filthy and so were the empty tables. A total turnoff. I’d recommend passing on Cosi’s.

Wow, staff here are beyond ratchet, whoever handles HR at this place needs to be fired! No service skills or courtesy among the staff whatsoever!

My friend said it was a bootleg panera… I agree after tasting their scone. My friend ordered a simple earl grey tea and it took so long. It’s legit just a tea bag with hot water. I got the scone with I was hungry and we just finished watching a movie across the street. I ate it on the train and boy was it not the sort of scones I am used to. They were basically buns, not even good buns. Scones are not supposed to be like this!!! It was all soft and bread like!!! I should had just gotten food at whole food!!! The disappointment… scones! don’t mess with the scones

Well after many years of eating here I have to bid adieu to this Cosi… Just picked up a sandwich from there on my way out what runs across my foot… A mouse… How disgusting I just went to the corner to throw out my sandwich… Because I just have visions of the vermin running across the food all night… Sigh customers service was always nice here but sadly I won’t be returning

Good place, nice service but so… slooow! If you are in the rush on the morning, run away from that place! They are taking 10mn to do a bagel cream cheese…

Been going here for almost many times for work lunch… And it’s by far the best Cosi. Don’t be all rushed here, as it’s so close to NYU and seemed like a gigantic cafeteria, with full service — waitstaff… My oh my… I went here for the soup daily special and the clam chowder is spot on, comes of course with the hearth bread fresh. And just a side note– you can wiFi all you want here :) and just lounge around too

Went to Cosi after a yoga class and a quick stop at Strand. Bbq chicken pizza in an individual size. Flavor was good, a bit too much sauce and not enough cheese imo but gave me my fix so alls well that ends well! Late afternoon meant quite a few teenagers running around in there so not necessarily a place to go if you want quiet. Employees were friendly and the place was clean.

THEREWAS A SQUIRMINGPINCHERBUGINMYSANDWICH!!! If that isn’t enough to stop you from eating from here I don’t know what will. When I brought up the matter to the manager he tried to weasel his way out of the situation by saying that the bug«clearly dropped on your sandwich after leaving the kitchen.» No! The bug CLEARLY crawled out of my sandwich meaning that it was present while they were assembling my sandwich. I was appalled that he would even talk back to me. Luckily, they refunded my money, but needless to say I am never going back.

Came for a quick bite late in the day and can’t say I really have any complaints. Food was good, staff was nice and they bring your food right to your table. What else could you ask for at a Cosi?

I like a place that actually has semi non greasy food. The salads and sandwiches do the job of satisfying taste buds. Chicken Caesar is my go to. However my normal thing to get is a hot beverage. Since giving up coffee I’ve become a fan of the vanilla honey steamer. I just wish it could be made with almond milk but they only have regular, skim, and soy. Run in and pick up something right quick!
