Rachel J.

Business Owner

Rachel Jarrett is a former retail executive and one of the leading experts on the children’s business. Throughout her career, she has been recognized for implementing strategic merchandising plans and creating innovative digital programs for children. Rachel recently left the corporate world to pursue her dream of owning her own

business and is in the process of opening up a franchise location on the Upper East Side of Manhattan for a children’s retail experience concept called Chocolate Works. She also serves as an advisor to several small startups. Before her latest endeavor, she was the Senior Vice President of Gilt Baby & Kids. She previously served as a Vice President and General Manager at Barnes & Noble​.com. Prior to BN​.com, she served as Executive Advisor of Merchandising at FAO Schwarz and spent five years as Buyer and Director of Merchandising for Babies «R» Us /​Toys «R» Us infant & toddler furniture. She has an MBA from Kellogg and a BA/​MA from Johns Hopkins.
