Chitayat Sammy MD

Dr. Chitaya is the best doctor I ever had. He is so through and I feel so safe as long as he is being my doctor. I have been his patient since 2010 and never been disappointed of his service.

I’m bewildered as to how dismissive some of the patients that have reviewed Dr. Chitayat here on Unilocal claim him to be. I’ve been seeing Chitayat for several years now. He’s very thorough, usually sees me on time for a scheduled appointment, and I’ve visited him without an appointment for something I wanted checked semi-​urgently almost right away (essentially I called ahead right before a walk-​in). His staff is also wonderful. One of the nurses reminds of of Sophia from the Golden Girls and is very funny.

The only reason I’m giving this guy one star is because he himself is OK. As for the rest of his staff, they are an absolute joke. His front desk staff are rude, ignorant, incompetent and oh yeah stupid. They are an embarrassment to his practice and I’m surprised this guy is still in business. Give him a year and he won’t be with that front desk. I suppose you pay peanuts…

I thought that this Dr. was great at first. …I was wrong– he is only in it for the quick diagnosis and the insurance payments. If it gets at all complicated– that is another story.
1) I went first to get a couple of inhalers for asthma. A quick listen and viola, I had inhalers– Great.
2) I returned with severe lower back pain and no appetite for several days. He sent me away for a chest xray, denied me a blood test or another test that I needed because I am female and menstrating– what the heck was that about? I still needed a test!
He avoided anything that would take paper work and some time, and so I left. after he said no to any tests. I wasted an hour and a half with this guy for nada when I was very sick with a time sensitive condition.
…That night I hit a 102 fever, could barely walk (as a long distance runner, that is odd). My Fiancé voted we see someone else. So I went to City MD… Turns out I had a severe Kidney infection.
What I don’t understand is how this Doctor sleeps at night knowing that he sends his patients away, sick without even a simple test.
City MD doctor gave me cipro and strong pain killers and was surprised to hear that a doctor sent me away 24 hours prior when I was still very much sick and should have helped.

Doctor Chitayat saved my life, a wonderful and caring man who goes the extra step for his patients, education credentials are second to none, extensive experience and will get to the bottom of any health issues you may have.

Great doctor and very convenient location

I left this clown’s office more than 90 minutes after my SCHEDULED appointment time. Do not see this moron if you value your time or health. And oh yeah, his staff was disorganized and rude too. Nightmare.
